Episode description

We are talking all things Superfoods! 2 Episodes ago we introduced this topic, so if you missed it go back and check it out! But we talked about what a superfood is (and the controversy with that name!) and we started with the Fruit Edition then went to the Veggie Edition.

Today, we are moving on to the “Other” Edition! (Some didn’t fit into either category, and some there wasn’t room for them!)

So just a upper quick recap of the definition of what a “superfood” is:

Simply put, Superfoods are nutritional powerhouses.  Superfoods are foods that have a very high nutritional density…they are extremely high in micronutrients like vitamins and minerals and are packed with fiber, as well as antioxidants, enzymes and health fats like omega-3 fatty acids. All of these nutrients are essential to your body so you can thrive. And on top of that, Super foods boost the immune system, help prevent anti-aging, and are linked to the prevention of disease.

Our “Other” Category of Superfoods includes: nuts & seeds, cinnamon & spirulina. Listen to hear why and discover all of them!
