In Episode 3 Dr. Lithgow introduces AKG, or Alpha Ketoglutarate and talks about a recent trial that they did with mice. In the trial they  saw both increased lifespan and healthspan, mostly in the female mice. 

Dr. Gordon Lithgow, is a professor and vice president of Academic  Affairs at the Buck Institute. Dr. Lithgow's research focuses on  uncovering genes and small molecules that prolong lifespan through  enhanced molecular stability. Dr. Lithgow has been recognized with a  Glenn Award for Research in Biological Mechanisms of Aging and the  Tenovus Award for Biomedical Research.
