Anticipation Fixation

Ever feel like you’re getting way too excited over something that hasn’t happened yet? It seems like your imagination goes wild and it feels great! Could it be a variation of rumination?

Reactions to the news of something important can feel so good that the brain sees all kinds of possibilities. Pretty soon, a person can be planning their life around something that is mere speculation.

Probably not perseveration, doubtful it"s rumination, is this a thing?
