Episode description

This episode is with Lauren Parker, World Champion and Commonwealth Games Medalist Paratriathlete. Lauren grew up competing at elite levels for swimming and professional ranks for triathlon and ironman before a freak training accident in 2017 left her paralysed from the waist down. Twelve months later, having checked herself out of rehab early to take up a new sport she hadn't heard of before, Lauren lined up for Australia at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Lauren still lives in excruciating pain, yet finds purpose in her training and the pursuit of what's possible. She is perseverance personified and our hope is that this conversation inspires you to realise that whatever challenges you face, there is more within you - you have what you need to adapt, adjust and thrive.
