A bright young man with a lot to offer the world. Meet my guest, Dennis.

A 4th-year PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College. Works in surgical image guidance, specifically working with an ENT surgeon on medical device design and studying tissue deformations during surgery to better provide navigation for the surgeons.

His family moved around a lot when Dennis was growing up. He was born in Shanghai, China, but grew up in Singapore for most of his elementary school years. His family then moved back to China but to the city of Yantai for two years. They then moved to Vancouver, Canada for about a year before relocating to Rhode island, USA, where his family has been ever since.

"Due to the frequent travels, I can say that it brings me much joy to be experiencing new things and being receptive to different cultures. In terms of hobbies, I love watching ALL kinds of movies and tv shows, but I particularly enjoy sci-fi. I'm that way with food as well. Too many delicious cuisines to try in a lifetime! I also enjoy solving/making puzzles and being a tinkerer. In addition, I am grateful to have music in my life--playing the piano brings me great comfort and joy!"
