Episode description

The Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas has made a name for themselves by protesting at funerals around the United States.  At first they reserved their hate-filled protests for prominent members of the gay community, but in recent years have turned their attention toward the  troops killed in Iraq and Afghanistan as well.

In this podcast, Darren sits down to talk with Shirley Phelps, the spokeswoman for the church, about her controversial views, the hurtful slogans they use, and campaign that the church continues to wage.

WARNING: While this is a very civil discussion, listeners should be warned that some of the language may be offensive.  This  podcast may not be appropriate for mixed company.
