Hello friends, it's another Astro forecast episode. Ashley and I are so happy you're here. It's Cancer season. Yay, so exciting. It's the summer, I love it. I love it. I would love if it get a little bit warmer because somebody asked how my summer is and I'm like at this rate I'm going to get a spray tan for the 4th of July and that's sad. Yeah, it has been chilly and rainy. Our pool is finally open. I don't think I've seen anybody out by it because I swear it was like 53° the other day.
Fingers crossed that yeah, we get some hotter weather because I need a tan and I need to sit by the pool or the a beach or some sort of water. For real. And I'm excited to learn about cancer season from you because I feel like summer gives main character energy and I maybe have a skewed view of what cancer is because for me, I feel like the qualities of cancer that I've heard about feel like it should be some a fall sign. I don't know why.
Like cancer gives like emotional cozy, like internal. I don't know. I see this is where I need to learn from you today. So I'm like, please explain why is cancer season July when I feel like I feel like July should just be Leo season. I don't know.
Yeah, maybe I just have this weird idea of of the signs and what they are and like, and maybe it's weather related, but I'm excited to learn what Cancer season actually means and how we can lean into it because we're moving from Gemini season into Cancer. So just wanted to kind of chat
about how does that feel? Going from Gemini was all about like networking and communication, which for me in my life, I feel like there's been a lot of networking and communication, communicating what I want in my life, going out there and like opening the doors and pathways, talking to people. I got a new job opportunity, did all the interviewing, so it was a very Gemini I think of of me and like that season for me. I don't. Did it impact you in any way particularly?
Yeah. So I feel the the same way Gemini season hits me and something that everybody I think should look at is what house you have Gemini or any of these seasons that we're talking about in because that is where you'll feel the most change. And for me, Gemini is my 10th house. So that's public image career. And I was just chugging away on my career for this whole season and really trying to get more consistent on social media.
Gemini is all about social media and communication and making sure that my public image, I was out there and being seen and communicating about my business and all of that stuff. So it's interesting when you look at like, for example, if it's in your 7th house, maybe you had a little bit more communication issues with a significant other or with best friends or with business partners.
And so whenever you're looking at these seasons, just looking at which house this hits home for you in is going to add another layer of how how you see this season show up for you. Do you know which house yours is in according? To the pattern it's telling me that Gemini is in my is my 5th house. OK. So that's creativity, self-expression that makes sense for for the things that you've been working on, I feel like.
Yeah, definitely. I feel like self-expression has been a core theme for me recently just because I'm finally rooting into the vision that I want from my life and actually claiming it and not making excuses for why it isn't possible or it's unrealistic or it's selfish to want that thing because of XYZ and like former programming. So I feel like I've shed a lot of that and my Saturn Return, literally it started and we still need to record the Saturn
Return episode. So if you're listening to this and you have questions about Saturn Return, Ashley and I are going to record a whole episode about it and what to expect and everything. So please DM us if you have any questions. But I genuinely feel like all of a sudden there is a pivot, especially with this job and how I've been feeling lately. There's just some shift, like a switch flipped and I feel way more grounded in myself and who I am right now and it feels so nice.
I feel like Gemini would also be closer to the bottom of your chart if it's fifth house and that is ground. More grounded energy and more feeling at home in yourself and in your creativity and self-expression. And it's also fun. So if you've been having a lot of fun recently, that may be why as well. OK. Well, we're moving from Gemini into Cancer. So how is that energy different and how can we expect it to shift a little bit?
So it's funny that you say that cancer is more of like a homebody like staying at home sign because it is like that's exactly, I was actually having like a come to this moment myself this morning being like, why is cancer in July and June? Because that doesn't really make sense. But you could also say like a lot of people spend time with their families during this time. Like for example, teachers are home with their families and you're just spending a lot more
time at home. Not necessarily. I mean, it could be in your physical house, but it could just also be out, out and about with your neighbors, at home, with your family. And that is all about cancer. So cancer is home family ancestors, like anything related to family motherhood. It's a cardinal water sign. So Cardinal again is starting things. So cancer is a leader. And if you think about cancer is the sign of the mother and the mother is the leader of the
home, right? She's doing the dishes and cleaning up and making sure the children get places and stuff like that. Just the stereotypical mother archetype where you know, we're in in the time when you can be a mom and a businesswoman and like anything you want to be. But if you're thinking about stereotypical motherhood, she is the leader of the household. So if you think about it that way, cancer is leadership oriented and also a water sign.
So it's emotional. So it is very emotionally tied to what it's doing. And I also like to say that cancer is also Mama bear energy, too, because when you think about mothers in general, like they're so caring, they're so nurturing, but if you mess with their children or if you mess with their household, they're coming for your throat. Like that is Mama bear, like she's going to protect her Cubs.
And so I always just love to think about like if you cancers, they will give you the shirt off their back, but if you mess with them in any way, they do have teeth. So I think that's one area of cancers that people don't think about often. It is an emotional sign. So I will say also the symbol for cancer is the crab. And that's also another great way to think about it, that it has a really hard shell on the outside, but it's like a soft
ooey gooey on the inside. So it may be harder to get to know cancers because they're so at home and wanting to be protected by things that you have to really dig deep in order to get to know cancers. And that shell is kind of a symbol for cancers, having a home and using a home or other things as protection in their lives to feel safe and grounded.
I really like the description and it actually does remind me I do have a cancer friend that that description really is just perfect for her because she's the type of person that I just laughed so hard. Like the things she says, I know how she means them and how they come across to other people. And other people might be scared of her and she can come off intimidating and intense. And I'm like, she is literally
the squishiest teddy bear ever. But she has this tough exterior and we'll say things and I'm like, whatever, you're just pretending to be tough, you know? And then she'll be like, oh, Kitty, look at it. And she's like so soft on the other side. So I like that, that comparison and the what is it metaphor, I think for the crab of the shell being tough on the outside and soft on the inside. I think that is such a good description. I love that you bring in
bringing in the symbols. And why is the symbol the symbol for it? Because you're like, why am I this or that? But I was also looking at our notes and it, it says a lot about nostalgia for cancer. And so that just made me think of how most of my memories of the summer of July are the most nostalgic. Like if you think of a montage of summer jumping in the lake and like sunsets and bonfires and you're having deep
conversations around the fire. And I feel like I reminisce the most probably about cancer season in every chapter of my life. Yeah, definitely. And I think cancers, again, are related to the home and family. So you're thinking about like all the fun times you spent with your family during the summer and your childhood and all that nostalgia. I will say Cancers also ruled by the moon. So they can be emotional in that way where the moon is the fastest moving body in the sky.
So if you're a Cancer, you know, a Cancer and they have 8000 different emotions. Today they're happy, tomorrow they're sad. Like that is because they're ruled by the moon and the moon effects them and their emotions so much. And that's why Cancer is related to that, just because it, it can be very emotional and quick to change their mind about things. So that's another layer of Cancer. But the moon is also related to the childhood and mother and nostalgia and all of those
things. So I think we're going to feel a lot of nostalgia, specifically this Cancer season too, because Jupiter just moved into Cancer. So everything Cancer is going to be just like overblown. And so this is like the Cancer season of all Cancer seasons. You're going to feel it and you're going to feel maybe a little bit more nostalgia for
your childhood or your family. I would say if you can hang out with your family and get it, get in the water and do all those fun Cancer related things, this is a great a great year to do it. Because Jupiter is in Cancer and it's just making everything even more cancery. To let people figure out if they're more cancer or not.
I love this game that we do. Every episode we're going to do, cancer or not, just to get some context on what a cancer would be more likely to do. So Ashley is going to weigh in on what she thinks is most cancer. Would a cancer be more likely to check on all their friends with thoughtful voice notes or forget to reply for three days? Oh, definitely. Check in on all their friends with voice notes. That's so cancer. They want to know what people are doing and they want to know
that everybody's feeling good. And would they be more likely to throw things out as soon as they're not useful, or kind of hoard everything that is a memory in their closet? Definitely hold on to things. Again, the nostalgia piece comes into play and it's like, oh, I wore this on my first date with whoever or I did. I wore this when my mom came to town. Like those types of emotional baggage almost cancers are definitely prone to.
OK. I'm curious about this next one because you just said that they would check in over text, but this is would they send an encouraging text or cook a full meal for their roommate on a bad day? So kind of acts of service versus words. Yeah. I would say cook a full meal. I mean, cancers in any way that they can check in, I think they will, but I think from a cancer perspective, you always want to make people feel at home and welcome.
And so cooking your roommate a full meal I think is definitely cancer. But I mean, that's not to say that they won't check in with an encouraging text message too. It's just what is feasible at the time. OK. And then Cancers are emotional. We've talked about this. Are they more likely to bottle up their emotions and be quiet? Or are they more likely to say what's on their mind and actually talk through the emotions? That's a good question.
I think it depends. I mean I could definitely see them keeping things to themselves but I I have also met a lot of cancers who will just cry at the drop of a hat. So it could be both and it really depends on your placements to. Like cancer risings I think are more likely to cry at the drop of a hat. Cancer moons or something a little more deep into their
chart. They may keep things bottled up but I'm leaning more towards just saying their emotions and how they feel because I feel like they're very in tune with their emotions and and can can get all of that out. But it depends. It really does. And I could, I mean, I could also assume with everything with human design and subconscious reprogramming and coaching, there's so much conditioning that comes into of like where
you grow. Did you grow up in a safe environment where you could share your emotions or were you told to just keep it in and be quiet and not talk about it? So I think there's a lot of nuances there, but totally OK, We've mentioned that cancers are sensitive. They're emotional even if they don't want to claim that they are. If you're a cancer listening to this and you're saying, no, I'm not, what is the superpower behind being emotional and sensitive?
Because I still think there's kind of a misconception around being like too empathetic and then that can just overwhelm you. But like, what's the power in being emotional and sensitive as a cancer? Yeah. So cancers are really in tune with their intuition. And I think that intuition and emotions go hand in hand. It's like a feeling that you can't really describe. So cancers are really in tune with what they need and also what the world needs.
So I haven't mentioned this before earlier, but Cancers are able to become really successful because they understand what people need. So for example, I have a Cancer moon. I'm in user experience, which means I work with people or understanding people's needs and designing websites for that purpose.
I think you can extrapolate that to any business opportunity and Cancers can really understand what people need in the moment and shape it to the user's experience and understand one with their intuition, but also just being in tune with emotions and being empathetic towards people. I think we'll get you so far in life. Obviously we should all just be empathetic no matter what and understand that people have are having their own experience and and be open to understanding that.
But I think cancer specifically are just so in tune with everybody's emotions that they know what people want in the moment and they'll give it to them in in that moment. And that's such a huge, huge benefit that we need in the world today. And you can become so successful off of that. Yeah, it's kind of going back to that mother archetype like you mentioned earlier and them knowing what people need before they even know themselves.
And then as a cancer being kind of an acts of service person, being able to provide that too. But also don't drain yourself either. And like, know your limits of what's yours to carry and what's not yours to carry might be a lesson in that too. Yeah, cancers do struggle with
boundaries. I will say that's the one thing if you're a cancer listening that you need to to learn is sometimes it's OK. I mean, it's always OK to put your, your mask on before anybody else's because you need to take care of yourself and then you can give to other people. I think sometimes cancers want to give and give and give and not give to themselves at all.
And you really need to set those boundaries and also say also understand when you're drained and communicate that because I've I've seen a lot of people who are cancers try to give and give and give and then it's almost too much, if that makes sense. Another favorite part of mine of this episode is when you bring in celebrities. Do you have anybody today that embodies cancer that we can lean into and be like, OK, cool, I understand that person, I
understand the archetype. Who'd you bring? Yes, yes. So the first person I brought is Meryl Streep. I love her and she is known as one of the greatest actresses of all time. And I completely think it's because she's a cancer. She has it looks like 3 cancer placements. And she also, her son is also at the 0° of cancer, which is the strongest degree of any sign, which means you just embody that
sign so much more. And so for me, I think being a cancer and being an actress just makes sense because she can just empathize with her characters so well and almost become those characters because she understands them so well and
empathizes with them so well. Personally, I think a combination of Cancer and Leo placements for an actor or actress is just like the epitome of a good actor because they understand their characters and they want to be seen and they want to be expressive with those characters. I'm a 0° Taurus. Cool, that doesn't surprise me.
You. Are very Taurus energy yeah yeah so that's a fun fact if you have anything at 0° it's going to be kind of the epitome of that energy because it's it's so new that you're able to access like all of those energetic points where is like later on in the the sign it's like Oh well I don't like that I don't like that I've been there done that whatever from a. Evolutionary standpoint, I guess. So, yeah. 0° look it up if you
have anything at in your chart. The next person I brought is Anthony Bourdain, and I'm not sure if my younger listeners know who he is, but he was a huge chef and writer, and he also had a bunch of cooking shows. And so I love that. He's a cancer too, because it just shows that cancers want to make people feel welcome. They want them to feel at home. And the interesting part too, is
he, he was known for traveling. So he would travel to a bunch of different countries and interview people about their food. And I think just understanding people's culture and understanding that hometown or home country, food and really cooking and eating and laughing together is so cancer, the epitome of cancer and just being with family and all of those things. So he is another very cancer archetype.
The last person I brought is Princess Diana, and I think Princess Diana really embodies the motherhood archetype of cancer. Obviously, she was known for being the mother of Prince William and Prince Harry, and she's also known for being an amazing mother and very nurturing and all of those cancer traits as well. I was looking up some other celebrities too and these singers just make sense. Tate McRae, huge fan, she is a cancer. She is sad girl.
Our emotional hard on her sleeve type of lyrics. I feel like it just shows Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez are also cancers and I think it shows in the lyrics. If you just listen to all three of those artists, they have different styles, but in the way that they speak, in the way they get their emotional points across, I think is very similar when you take a step back and look at them together. Yeah, Ariana Grande was an honorable mention for me.
I love her. And I do think especially with artists, they need to tap into the empathy of their they're fanbase too. And they know how to sing and and express their emotions so well that everybody can just feel it. Yeah, the way that they say things can resonate with so many different people because they just know how to how to get it across because you just think they could say it one way and it would really hit maybe a few
people. But the way that they use the metaphors or what that whatever they're saying just hits their audience so deeply. I think that's just such a superpower. OK, thank you so much for bringing the celebrities. That's one of my favorite parts. Can you tell us if there's any other transits going on in cancer season? Is it going to finally be calm
or is it just chaos like always? Well, we just did get through a huge, hugely chaotic transit with Jupiter moved into Cancer and then it was squaring Neptune conjunct Saturn and Aries. And I think we saw a lot of social unrest. We saw there was like a bunch of wars, stuff going on in Iran and I think just protests and all of that. So I'm hoping that energy has dissipated. I think the square is finally gone, but we are in for a few
surprises. I'll just get into the energy and there is one big transit that I want to point out, but we have June 24th. I'm excited. We have Sun conjunct Jupiter. It's also known as a Jupiter Kazimi, and this is an extremely lucky energy. Whenever the sun conjoins another planet, it means that it's at the same degree in the sky. And the sun always just illuminates those qualities of
the planet. And the Jupiter is the planet of luck and abundance, and it's going to be in Cancer for the next year, which will enhance any Cancer qualities. So home, family, anything related to nurturing. So if you're trying to become a mother, this is a great time to do so. I think there's going to, we're going to see a lot of new babies come into this world, which is exciting. And so that's an exciting
transit. We also have, you know, just the normal transit, Mercury entering Leo, Venus entering Gemini. We have a couple retrogrades coming up. Neptune and Neptune, Saturn and Mercury will all be retrograde by the end of the season. So maybe feeling a little more internal, a processing related to those. The one transit that is going to be huge is you're honest entering Gemini and you're honest is the planet of sudden changes. It's a planet of surprise
events. It's also, it also rules new technology and air travel and anything really advancements in technology. So I think the last time we saw Uranus in Gemini was that tail end of World War 2. It also corresponds a lot with lore is the last couple transits, it's been World War 2, the Civil War, all kind of lined up with your honest and Gemini. So there may be some stuff happening that will be war related.
It also coincided with the invention of the atom bomb and the release of the the atom bomb and all of those things. So we're looking out for that transit. I'm hoping it's going to be more exciting than the past transits. I do foresee there being a lot of AI revolutions and and stuff like that. Just more AI technology potentially like a lot more neural link stuff coming up with your honest and Gemini. Gemini is all about knowledge
and learning more. And so yeah, fingers crossed that that transit is happy and and good, but that will wrap up. All of the external planets have moved signs in the past year. And so that will be the last transit that really. So Saturn, Neptune, Pluto, you're honest. Like all of those big guys moved into different signs, which is so rare that I think this energy, once you're honest, moves into Gemini is going to feel completely different than
the energy a year ago. It's we're going to be on like a completely new Earth. So yeah. Yeah, quite, quite literally. An entirely new era for the world and for ourselves. And again, when you're looking at these transits, make sure to look at what house these are hitting you because for example, Pluto transit hitting your 6th house. That means you're going to have a ton of transformation and health and Wellness and Co workers and all those things. But it's fun to see how those
things play out. Yeah, once you start looking at your astrology chart and I can't remember where I learned this. I think it was like a oh, what's that Udemy or Skillshare or something? I was watching some astrology training video and it kind of broke it down into an equation that then clicked in my head of like planet plus sign plus house equals the whatever. So.
How it shows up? Yeah, once you can see that and you want to play around with your chart yourself, that kind of helped me. Just kind of X + y + Z equals how it shows up. Yeah, yeah. It's interesting because when I first started astrology, I was more focused on the signs and now I'm more focused on the planets because the planets are the actors is what we like to say the signs are, how well they're acting, and then the
house is the backdrop. So if you think of cancer, Mars, in cancer, Mars is in fall is what we like to say in cancer, which means it doesn't act well. And so the sign is really determining how the planet acts and that's it. So it's interesting when when you get more into things and how that changes it. But we're always going to feel the the energy of the sign whenever we're in that time in our lives as well. So how does this season impact
us on a personal level? Because with the transits, we kind of talk about globally how those are going to to interact with us. And then if you want to know it personally, you kind of need to look at your own chart, what houses they're in and all of that. But generally, if we're talking about just cancer season as a whole, what can we do to lean into it? What should we watch out for and what recommendations would you
have for us? Yeah. So again, I would recommend looking to see where you can set boundaries because cancer is a water sign. It likes to flow in and flow out, but that's really necessary when you're thinking of cancer energy. I would also say just enjoying being home, enjoying being with your family or your chosen family. And I think cancer season again, is just all about enjoyment and feeling grounded and feeling at home and yourself and your body.
And maybe that's why it's in the summer because we're all just feeling so great and so at home. So definitely dig into those, Go to the beach, get near some water. If you have Cancer placements too, water is a great thing to do when you've been around emotions for too long. So if you're in like a really emotional environment, taking a bath or cleansing yourself in a lake or anybody of water is really good for getting all of that energy off.
So I like to do that a lot to be again, I'm a Cancer moon, so I tend to take on a lot of other people's emotions and energies. And cleansing yourself in water is huge. Making sure that you're feeling safe and nourished, I think is super important. I would even write down what makes you feel safe and kind of lean into those things. And it's OK if you just want to sit at home and cuddle your dog.
I think that's the perfect time to do so Cancer season, but also enjoy the weather and just enjoy the comfort and and being near people and yeah, it's exciting. I like that on the notes here, it says emotional leadership and taking charge with your emotions and paying attention to them. And don't bottle them up and have those conversations because it'll always be better if you just say something rather than keep it to yourself. And we don't want to rock the boat.
We don't want to create the waves of of cancer season emotions. We don't want to do that very often, but the end of the day, it's going to make everything go more smoothly. If you acknowledge your emotions, you have those conversations and you work through it because that's where the growth is too. So emotional leadership can, I guess that's kind of on the challenging conversations part, but also don't be afraid to love big as well. I think we don't talk about that
enough too. If you're feeling like you love somebody in your life, say it. And like don't be afraid to wear your heart on your sleeve. I know Cancers have that crab shell to keep that contained, but it is so worthwhile. We don't know how much time we have. Don't be afraid to love big and share that love with your friends and family this season too. Yeah, going off of that, Cancers can get very protective and like
to just sit in their house too. And I have a a deck of Oracle cards and I keep pulling the Cancer 1 and it says get out of your protection, get out of your house, get out of. So it could also mean get out of that comfort zone. You know, Cancer is all about the comfort zone. So think about what you're doing to protect yourself and maybe be a little bit vulnerable. Cancers can have a tough time with again, that protective outer shell.
They want to stay in there, but maybe it's time to get out there and say no, I'm I'm going to get out there and have some fun. So yeah. I love that take on it too. If you had any final takeaways for people, what would you say? What is? I guess we kind of touched on a challenge where you're hard on your sleeve. Get out there and try something new. But what's maybe one practice or ritual people could try if you were to focus in on just a couple things?
Get in tune with your emotions and also the emotions of the people around you. I think empathy right now is huge. Understanding that everybody has their own experience and maybe being open to listening about those experiences and just showing people love and empathy right now I think is is a big practice that we should all be doing. Is there anything else you'd like to add about cancer season before we wrap up and get out there? I don't think so. I'm excited to see how this. Unfolds.
Me too. I feel like it's going to be a really fun season. I know that we're already basically into July, but it feels like summer is just getting started. Yeah, it is, and again, I feel like this Cancer season is going to feel even more cancery with Jupiter and Cancer. So exciting. Get out there with your friends and your family and just enjoy.
Yeah, wishing you all the best. Know that if you take a break, that's OK. Get out there, enjoy the sunshine while it's here and the work will still be there. Book the flight. Money is a renewable resource. If you want to use me as your influence, you can say Alexis told you to do it. Book the flight, book the trip, go to the concert and make those nostalgic memories that you are going to look back on because you only get what on average 7580 summers. So make the most of it.
I know that's a focus of mine. I really want to hear some more live music. I want to be really intentional with friendships this summer and yeah, not take life so seriously. I feel like the last couple I've just really plugged away and dedicated all my time to working and saving and figuring things out and I feel like I need to just have some ease this summer too and lay in the grass and do nothing a little bit. Yeah, exactly. Relax and just nurture yourself I think is the huge point.
Well, thank you so much for being here again. I love these episodes. I feel like it's honestly like a little astrology training from you, first of all. And then I love how approachable it is too, and how we can all apply it to our lives. Can you tell everyone where to find you? Because I know that you, you launched your readings. So they're you did. Leo season I'm I have a soft spot for Leo's but I've also been told that Taurus is like Leo's. Yeah, also your 7th house is Leo, so you get along with Leo's. Gotta love them, that main character energy. OK, we'll have a great cancer season you guys. We will catch you in the next one. Bye. Yeah, bye.
