Whether you're all in on your personal growth Journey or just starting out, let's flow together. Got it, got it. Hello. Hello and good morning, good afternoon. Good evening. And I have to close my window, sorry. All right, so good. I am now in like the fourth spot in my apartment setting up my podcasting little little space. I've I've set it up different every single time we've recorded since I moved because I don't
have a desk chair. So right now I moved my plants, I moved my candles and decorations and I'm using my side tables in front of my window and sitting crisscross applesauce in front of the window experimentation. Yeah. Carly's a little more setup. You have your space now but you were doing this for a while. When you moved, ya know, I've been all over the place too. It's fun to witness the evolution of your own space to because I mean, for me. Yes.
Okay, I'm a bit more setup than Alexis is because I have a desk and I have a Are actually have a kneeling chair. I love kneeling chairs. By the way, I just looked those up on Amazon because when I was visiting you, I used yours all the time and I loved it. And so I might actually get one of those instead of a desk chair.
Hmm, it's got. It is nice to have a desk chair because sometimes like your legs get kind of funny feeling, I don't know, but yeah, I do love them but what I like with this evolution of space, it's I don't know. Maybe this is kind of just us being creative people as well. Like very, we're all creative of being liked Extra creative outwardly, like, my spaces are never done.
Like I'm like, oh, but I want this desk, I'm on to be like my art making desk, and then I need to get another desk or just my computer because I don't like that. My computer is in the same space as where I do art. We keep joking that look like Carly has so many different interests. And her mom has the Casal a The Farmhouse. And there's so many different rooms. And so having a different room for each type of project, is totally something that I could see her doing. Yep.
Animation and each each room. It's room is a different activity. No, I completely agree. I've had a vision of my bedroom in this apartment since I took a tour and it was empty and I just hung up the pictures that I, that I picked out the artwork and I love them cute. I can see them just a little bit in your, I'm obsessed with them. I love them but I got them up on the wall and I took a step back
and was like, it's not done yet. I thought that I was just going to my room put together and these pictures were going to like complete the look and now I'm like dang it. Like there's more. I want to add. This isn't done yet. Yeah, I feel like that's been something that over the years has caused.
I've allowed caused me a lot of stress, but it's also, it's become such a beautiful thing for me now because it's the very accurate Testament to us as humans, like we're never ever done growing and evolving and changing. Using and I love our teacher through this. Seth why yoga that? We're going to I'm leaving in a less than a week. You guys this is by the time this is out. I'm going to be there.
Probably actually for my training but he always says and this is very Eastern philosophy in general but if you are not evolving, if you are not growing, if you're not changing your dead like because life is changed, life is evolution. And I think I've had a hard time with this concept because I am constantly like very visibly changing in terms of even the things I want to do the things I am doing.
And for a lot of people that's not acceptable in our society, kind of need to stick to things and go through them but it's no, I'm really growing my appreciation for it because it's it its life. I think that it's become that way because people are making themselves into Brands. And it's so easy for a brand to be a brand because it's a thing, it's not a person, it doesn't have Consciousness to change.
And so we're seeing people make themselves into Brands and put them into themselves into these little pockets of this is who I am. This is who people expect me to be now, because they're following me, because this is the type of content that I put out. This is the type of person I am. And so you're trying to box in a personality and a Consciousness that supposed to be Evolving into a brand concept that doesn't evolve and it just
doesn't work. And then, then it can be hard to Pivot when you're trying to Market yourself as a person and not everyone is doing this but I think a lot of people do it in different ways. Even just if your family and friends, know you to be a certain person, that's your own type of brand box. Like, this is a type of person.
I am like, I felt like I was the straight-A student who was very logical and had a life plan and Was following, whatever path I thought I had to. And then when I decided to quit and travel, it was like, oh no, I'm rebranding, I'm like becoming a different person, like there's different chapters of your life, which this goes right into the topic that I
wanted to talk about today. And Carly actually doesn't know the topic because I thought it would be more fun to naturally talk about it and maybe we should just start doing things this way. Like you bring a topic and I can bring a topic. And yeah that's like really letting it flow. Yeah, I think we should we should More often. But okay, I was watching a TV
show on apple. Plus it just came up as a little trailer and I had caught up on all my other episodes and so I needed a filler show, you know, you know how it is. So it's called the, the big door prize. Hmm. And I was like, I don't know, I don't know, looks like fine, it'll fill my evening, whatever. And the concept of it is that there's this little town. And there's a local grocery store that suddenly Has this
machine show up? Nobody knows where it came from, has a big butterfly on it. It's blue. It looks futuristic. And it says discover your potential, and for two dollars, you go in there, type in your information, it scans. Your hands and be like, does all it, whatever it does. And spits out a card at you. And the people take it and it says, this is your potential and you pull the card out and it has your potential on it.
So someone pulls there's out and it says hero, Well, it's like a high school kid and he's like, how the fuck am I hero? Doesn't get it. There's a mom, who's been living the Suburban life, who pulls her eyes out and it says royalty. Well, what does that mean? Like how could I have ever it was I supposed to marry a royal? But am I like, what?
Like so everyone starts questioning their lives because this thing spits out their potential and they're like, well I'm not living anything close to whatever this says like I'm not a magician I'm not a meteorologist, I'm not a scientist. I'm not a an astronaut like it. Start spitting out these cards at them. Like this is what you could be. So everybody's thinking like, oh I need to be this thing now. Like I'm not living the right life. I'm not doing this, right?
I totally messed up and I took my life in the wrong direction. What if, what if what if and it's such a crazy concept? Because all the people in this town, suddenly start changing their lives. All this, they all at the same time and it seems like everyone's losing their mind because they all just suddenly realized that they have choice and that they could take their life in a different direction. So it it's a really A cool show so far.
It's releasing episodes every Wednesday so I only watched the first three. It's not all released yet, but I just thought the concept was really awesome and just discussing potential because like you said, people are trying so hard to find their thing and be one thing, but there's so many different things you can be. And like are you trying to reach your one? Like there's not. Is there one potential? Like people say, I want to reach my full potential but what?
What is that? Because I think each phase of your life. Has a different potential. Hmm, I relate to this a lot because I feel it's a different way to say very much what I have been really letting go of the past six months, really, really focusing on letting go and working through, what about me is wanting to hold on to these things? Is that fact of like, What am I going to do? What am I doing with my life? What am I? What kind of person am I going to be in terms of career and stuff?
Because that's always the question from the time, where so little, it's like, what are you going to be when you grow up, when you gonna be end, I, I'm so thankful for this journey for many, many, many reasons. But what if when I always say, like, if I meant to have children in this life, I really don't want to ask that question in that way. Because what you're doing in this life and this is the realization. I've really embodying and
grounding in myself right now. Is that whatever you're doing? It's not about what you do. It's about how you do it and The most important thing is that you are doing whatever you're doing, whether that be literally making your bed in the morning or making coffee for your partner, or your friend, or you're going out to the grocery, get groceries.
Or you're going to your 9 to 5 job or to your freelance gig like, no matter what it is, as long as you're doing it authentically, it really, I don't know for me this is what I'm realizing, it doesn't matter what I do. It really doesn't as long as in every moment. And I'm doing what I am truly being called to do. It's leaning me, and it's leading me somewhere. And I think this past year. I know I've talked about this
many times. It's been a very relevant topic for me, the past months, but I I just was forcing myself so much to try to figure it out. Figure out what I was doing box myself in which I didn't even realize I was boxing myself in until I kind of had a breakdown was like, oh my god, I've been going so many parts of myself and in that realization I was like I don't mean I'm I'm so tired.
I'm so tired of trying to figure out what I am because what I am and what we all are is Us like, it's Carly. It's my being just me in every moment, doesn't matter. Like i-i've actually really lost interest in even asking people what they do because I'm like, I don't give a shit. I really don't give a flying fuck what people do, it's who are you? Who are you? And what are you feeling like you desire to express in this life? And that's Becoming this like really big theme and I don't know.
It's this like freedom in myself that I'm solely feeling come and I've had a couple things come to me in the last like, even just 24 hours but not just that other things and that are coming about and I'm like, wow, like I literally did not need to worry about a single thing, a single thing, there's another part of the show. We're one of the people that goes and gets their potential spit out at them, it spits out
exactly what they're doing. He's a high school teacher and it says, his potential is teacher. I'm not ruining any apart of the show, by the way, you guys, it goes so much deeper than this. Definitely go watch it. But it spits out what he is and it's like he was hoping to get something else and then it spit out what he is and then he then he went through, you know the emotions of is wait. Is as good as my life can get. It's such a weird, weird
concept. Like some people are getting some crazy like Superstar and then he gets exactly what he is. And so then you can either take that as a no I'm like pursuing what I meant to pursue or not. That this machine is supposed to dictate that. This is a whole like, weird concept because some people are like, letting this machine dictate their lives, which we could get in a discussion of how like how that is society. Like the machine is the ID.
Um, but yeah, it's like some people are being spit out. These things that are so aspirational and out of the blue, like how am I a superstar, how am I royalty? And then what he gets is exactly what he is and he's like, how am I not meant for anything better? It's kind of up comparison
versus down comparison. It's it's such a cool concept for a show but it has so much symbolism in it and I think a lot of people get into their boxes of trying to reach their Highest Potential and then trying to figure out What their purpose is what they're meant to do, so say they become a doctor, or a teacher, or a lawyer or like they follow that path and like, that is your passion amazing. But you're not just going to like get there and feel like school. I made it.
I'm going to do this for 50 years and then died like because you're a conscious being in, you're always meant to be changing. Like you're not going to get the to that point this thing. And I kind of mentioned is to
be, brought it up again. Just trying to figure it out, it's just so A funny because like, how many of you listening have thought I can't you every single present multiple times a day, even get into that spiral downward of like questioning like what to do and then oh my God, what am I doing with myself? Maybe I could do that and maybe that above about new, just get into your thinking brain, so
much. And then you come out of this session, may be temporarily feeling like you figured it out. This is a very much my story. Temporarily feeling like, oh yeah. Okay, I got it. I logic to my way out of this and then a couple days later this same, exact thing comes around and you go spiraling down inside your brain and then you logic your way out of it and
then it's just our brain. I'm gonna end up saying this in like every single episode of our podcast, but the brain, the mind is a wonderful servant but it is a horrible Master like its life is not Oil, like the nature of life. When we tried a logical eyes it, I just made up a word. It doesn't make sense like and that's so beautiful and we tried I think so much we try. And this is kind of a part of it, that makes this beautiful human.
We try to like make it in so many ways less than it is life. And It's it just kind of makes everything more difficult than it needs to be and then week then that brings in when we're when we're trying to figure a way out of the states were in and we're trying to think as to what we want to do with ourselves in the world. It's a beautiful question. Absolutely. But it's like, what we want to do outside of our who we are. And that's where this question.
I'm the deeper question of like getting spit this thing out and having it completely. Spin your world upside down or make you question like, shit. This is all I'm here to do like, oh, really? That like, puts all of this power to this machine. That's trying of society. Basically, that's trying to control and and tell you what to do with yourself. And then I think that adds so much more questioning and, and ups and downs in our lives.
Whereas, We can just take the time to really understand like who, who we really truly are without any of that outside stuff and then start to go outside and create what's within us. I don't know. Yeah. Exactly. And then just following what you're interested in and allowing yourself to be creative and to go after the things that you like to do because how often like there's so many different thoughts of popped up while you were talking.
First one, how boring would it be if you reached your whatever birthday and a card popped out at you and I said this is what you're doing for the rest of your life like that's so boring and but that's what everyone is looking for. People are looking for someone to just hand them an answer key to life but that defeats the purpose and the fun of it. And I feel like the last couple years of my life. I've really tried to embrace the surprise and allowing myself.
Off to be surprised and delighted by life and what it throws at me and traveling really helped with that because you can't control everything. And so I put myself in experiences where I was not necessarily in control so that I had to roll with the punches and go with the flow and that really helped me a lot because I did not operate that way. I wasn't raised to be that way I wasn't around people that were that way and so that took practice for me.
But also So I think another interesting thing about this show is just that it gives people a card that says, something that was either a deep desire of theirs that they pushed down and pushed away. Or it's something they never even thought of and they just didn't realize they had the option. And I think that's the case.
For a lot of people is either like you have your interest, and you don't let yourself do them because it doesn't make sense or people will judge it like especially if it's something. If I have to say like putting your artwork out there is is risky, like you can get judgment. You can you know, get criticism as he's going to like a communication of like something deep within. It's like so personal. It is so personal, like, even
even this podcast. I mean, it took us a little bit to be like, oh my gosh, are we going to make this? Are we gonna do this, who's gonna listen, what are they going to stay? And honestly it like it's been fine. Most of the time, the things that are happening in your head are things that you're saying to yourself. First of all, we're not going to
get into to the subconscious. But the thing is that you assume that you assume people are going to say about you are things that you're ultimately saying to yourself. So, definitely dig in on that. But it's also like spitting out this card having a different potential written on their showed people that they have choice and I think a lot of people get trapped in their careers is a lot of people
switching careers. There's like the great resignation, people are calling it and I think Millennials and gen Z. Especially are really stepping out of the idea that there's a career. You're supposed to chase, which I love, I think we're really starting to accept that. You can have multiple lives in one Lifetime and in different careers and there's been a real or a Tick-Tock going around with kind of text over it. And it's usually someone traveling.
And it's like, how am I supposed to choose a life when I want to be a dancer? I want to be a world traveler, but I also am really pulled to new. Orc and having a career. And but I also want a family but I also want to live off the grid. And who says you can't do all of those things you can't do all of them may be at the same time because feasibly that doesn't make sense. But I mean, when I think about it I have been the type, a high school girl.
In my in just my lifetime type a high school. Girl. I've been the party college, girl. I've been an apparel apparel. Yes, I have. Okay, we'll go. No, we're not getting into that. She's gone, thank you. Um, she pops out once in a while, you know, if the time is right. But you know, and then I like I've I did a corporate internship. So I had that experience, I've been in apparel designer, I've been a Solo Traveler and within that.
I'm also like a daughter, a sister, a friend, you know, there's all these different labels to and experiences but those are different chapters. And now I am going to experience something else in this new job that I have in and coming back
to the the city. And so, this is another chapter and there's this one scene that really triggered me to like, talk about this today and bring the something conversation, because there's this one scene where the teacher, who is he was so upset at his card and he just went to talk to somebody about it and he's like, I already did my potential like my parents moved from another country, we came here and you know, I got a job and I'm really happy and like that was, that was my big
move on. I'm done with my big moves, like I'm happy where I'm at and the guy just responds. So, do you think good books? Only have two chapters? And that was that such a truth bomb because I think all a lot of society is telling us to look for like the next the chapter like you're trying to get to that spot and and then you're going to do that for a long time and then you're going to be satisfied. And so your story only has two
chapters. When in reality, if you do want to like go after the career and then maybe that career ends or it's time to leave, like that's a After then you're a world traveler awesome then maybe you meet like you meet someone that introduces you to your next thing or then you decide to be an artist when you're an elderly woman. Like there's so many people not end, there's no end and the best
lives have a lot of chapters. There's this older woman who passed away a few years ago but she was kind of like a grandma to me. And she was the coolest person to talk to because every time you sat down to talk to her. She had a different story. I was like, wait, we wait, you Planes. When did you do that to you? Like, I don't know. I just felt like learning it one time. So, so, yeah. I was a pilot for a while and I'm like, what? She just decided one day and did it.
And she had so many stories like that. Whereas, she just yeah, I was curious. So I tried it. And then she has the story and it's a chapter of her life. And I think those are the most interesting people, and it also makes your life feel long. Hmm. Like filled up.
Yeah, if life is flying by and I was thinking saying this to this popped in my head when I was driving the other day because I was texting somebody and they said, oh my gosh how is it almost April the first three months have really flown by and I've noticed that in the three months that I was traveling and I went to multiple States. Multiple national parks.
I was exhausted. And those three months were so long, but when you're not really doing much and you're just letting the day's flight Float by time, moves really fast. So to me, Al the longer you want your life to be. You just do more things. I think there's a lot of people that die young but live a longer life than 80 year old person.
Absolutely. I love I just but I just went on a tangent of a lot of different topics but it was flowing that and I think like what came from that for me during that was how fascinating it is that I think every single person can look back and see things that they once really loved. And once really enjoyed, and probably had that feeling of like this, Is it? I found it and then three years ago by maybe just the year, maybe for me, maybe like five days and then I'm like, okay, let's go.
This isn't bringing me as much joy as it once was, it's not feeling as good. My my partner's going through this Francesco is going through this right now with a job at situation and he's like, I will used to love what I did and there can be distrained sense of guilt a little bit. Out this change coming and being like oh why don't I love? And it's because we're growing we're changing and that's so
exciting. And also, one thing I wanted to say to is I'm just kind of giggling at myself too because something I really seen with myself through this last year, is this contradiction in me? Of how since I can remember the thought of doing something. One thing for the rest of my life, like I saw many family members do and there's nothing
wrong with that. If it gives you Joy and it brings you to life, there are people who are so passionate about something and they just flow through life with it and, you know, maybe evolve a little bit within that maybe do a bit different jobs within a company or something. That's beautiful. But for me, I saw a lot of people doing that but actually being miserable and not happy. They would live every week. Just to get to the weekend and then Sunday night would come around.
And they were just depressed that they had to go to work in the morning. And that's no freaking way to live. And so growing up from that time that I started to notice that I just like the thought of doing something like that, for the rest of my life. Literally would just bring me waves of anxiety. And then I realized, Suddenly that they're going through school and through college and kind of being taught like, what's your career going to be? What are you going to do?
How are you going to make money? All of these things, I started looking for that one thing and I wanted to find that one thing even though at the same time, I was like horrified at the thought of doing one thing and so big part of my journey and I feel like also you can probably relate to this to Alexis is just You know, being accepting the fact and being okay, with not having an answer to those questions that other people ask and not even having that answer for you because that's not even
an answer that I want to have. That comes from people, pleasing a lot in which if you're not aware of it, I don't think you just say, yes, I'm a people pleaser, but once you really get into, I don't know self reflection and personal growth, it can be clearly identified and when he will I'll ask those questions like oh where are you going to go to college or what's your future plans? What are you going to go to
school for you? Feel like you have to have an answer especially when I'm thinking back to high school, when your friends have an answer or like your friend's parents want to know what you're doing and you know that your answer reflects on your parents and like, there's just this whole thing and maybe that's a me thing. Maybe someone listening relates, but I was always very hyper aware of what my actions did to impact.
My family, my friends and people around me, I was very aware of that and also aware of my reputation and like, just being a good student. And so I just felt like I had to have an answer. I honestly cannot remember how I chose Apparel Design. It makes no sense, logical sense at all how I got into that, but God bless my parents that they supported me through it and like, never questioned it and I never questioned it just amazing.
But what's like? I like I just felt like I had to have an answer and so then I getting to the end of college like I was passionate about apparel like I loved it. Carly can even attest this. Like we all really loved it freshman year at some people dropped out, but like those of us who stuck with it, we had love for parts of it, but as we got two senior year, you could start to see that. Okay? Three years have gone by now.
You're really getting a feel for what you're doing and the thing that you chose and It felt like God I committed so much time to this already. I can't imagine switching. What would that even be like? That sounds risky. That sounds scary. I don't know what to expect.
I never even saw it as a potential to change paths and if I could go back and recreate what I did like, I'd probably go to school for kinesiology Fitness, holistic Wellness, something like that instead, but that wouldn't have had an answer. That would have been confusing. I would have gotten questions and I wanted to avoid questions because I felt like I found The answer and I didn't want to stray from the answer that I thought made sense, you know, he just, I don't know where we don't.
I think we should normalize not having an answer like it had my Vita. Oh gosh, this is reminding me. I made it. One of the first realize that I posted, when I started on this bike. I'm going to be a coach. Okay, it actually like like had a lot of interactions with it was just like my heart warm, because it was really speaking to a lot of people. But But I think I said also, on this little while ago, it's so funny because sometimes I look back at my videos that I made
and I'm, like, holy shit. This is like past Carly coaching. Current Carly with future Carly's knowledge. I was like, what the hell is time time does not exist. Time is a construct of the human mind. It was so funny, though. Because this video is all about, like, I don't know is a perfectly acceptable. Answer that isn't an answer.
I think we think that we've got in our head that this answer has to be like, mathematical or like yes or no, or like, have an exact thing that you say to like satisfy the question that the questioner and I'm like, no, I don't know is a perfectly, perfectly perfectly. Okay response. And it's funny because this is coming full.
I'm realizing This is coming full circle for me right now because the last couple nights I've had just a knife like with myself I am had this like thoughts come to me of being questions like what are you doing? Just being like, I don't know, you know and I don't know and I freaking love it and I've never felt so peaceful because I'm okay with not knowing like what a novel idea, right? With all of the Tools at our fingertips it's like Google it.
I don't know Google, it ask somebody figure it out. We don't ever really sit and question anymore. I think about how before phones and all that people used to sit around the dinner table and actually debate a topic and talk. I feel like very rarely do I go out to dinner and we actually talk about something that matters or do. We talk like debate on something or share opinions on something? It's like either everyone agrees on the solution. Or someone Google's it and prove
someone wrong. And then the conversation is done good for society right now. Yeah, it like there's no room for nuance in a lot of our conversations and in our lives, people are like, oh, you went to school for this. You figured it out. You should do this. This is your job. This is what the application says, and this is what you do, and you go do it. And for a lot of people, that's just how it makes sense, which
provides security. And it's a lot of ways like people are always searching for safety security, that's the base of the Muslims. Hierarchy of needs. You need that first and so at the root of everything, if you're scared to do something, if you're scared to open a new chapter of your life, it's because your subconscious is searching for Safety and Security and as long as you know, that you can make anything feel safe and secure like And you need deciding to move. I was terrified.
I'm like, well, what if this falls through what like, my roommate actually has to move. I'm in a two-bedroom apartment, she has to move. I definitely cannot afford it by myself, but I'm like, you know what?
If like, then I get to look for, then I get to create my own answers in my own reality, I get to be like, okay, so this is happening, this is what could potentially happen, but I'm also open to things falling into place perfectly and I called a friend from home and said, Hey like I knew she was living at home and I said, hey have you ever thought about getting out of town and moving somewhere? New like I thought you were talking about the city and was you want to come visit and see.
And she's like, oh my God. I was literally looking at apartments this week. This is so perfect. I'm gonna come visit. I'm a 99%. Yes. And I'm like, you see, I didn't even need to stress about it. Like my safety felt compromised, but I was like, you know what, we're going to like deal with
that. And yeah, so if you're looking to make a big move and you're feeling that stress and fear, ER, come up. It's because you're craving Safety and Security. So, if you need to make a back-up plan or play worst case scenario, that's what I do in my head all the time. And that's how I do things quickly. And that's an example of the servant of The Logical mind, not the master, because you're using your mind you using your logic to support yourself.
Not to like, breathe yourself down into the deep dark hole. I wanted to say really quick about being finding that safety and stuff. And we just recorded an episode with Sophie. I'm that might be after this episode. Yeah, yeah.
So next week, check it out and the topic came up of as safety and being supported and I just loved it how, you know, we're always supported and I-i've been in my morning meditation, so I really have been taking the time to connect with nature and the fact that we are nature, somehow the line of things we got left out of the definition of nature. But news, flash, we are nature. And when you watch nature nature, flows perfectly.
It doesn't make sense to our electrical brains but everything's timed exactly how it should be the the leaves, the trees bud and they grow flowers, they produce fruit, they produce leaves and then they fall. And then they redo and like, water flows, and it rains. And like, all of this stuff just naturally happens and something I've really been coming in to this realization of his like that nature desires to work through Us in that way. To from the time, we are born,
we are born. Okay. This is like different conversation, too, but I was, I'm reading on a biography of a yogi right now, for my yoga training and in there to talk about how, you know, the view of astrology, and the Eastern philosophy. And also, I think any time you look into spiritual things also, human design talks about this as well.
Like this, like, you are born at the exact time that you're meant to to be supported to learn the things that you are meant to learn and experience in this life and nature. That's nature like Nature has our back for everything. Thing that we feel we are being called to, and we, like, have that, like, sometimes I just have this feeling that comes over me with, like, I need to express myself, I need to paint
a picture. I need to go on a walk, or I need to make a rug, like, just random stuff, but, and I'm really wanting and implore us all to listen to that. Because that's nature of Mike, working through us and nature, works perfectly, it flows Perfectly. So if we can allow ourselves to get out of her mind, get out of are trying to make sense of the thing and just let it flow. It's absolutely. And I feel like I'm just starting to see just glimpses of the power of this, but it's
absolutely incredible. What can happen if we want to bring him in design into this, there's a little bit since you said it, it really brought forth like a hell. Yes, from me, which is my gut instincts. That's how I'm meant to make decisions. According to human design, which is just a living experiment. It does not tell you what to do, but Carly and I have both found it in the past year. It's been almost exactly a year since we found him in design and it's just a tool that can help
you. Honestly, it's helps me. Realize my potential, it's reassured me. That everything is exactly how it should be. It's shown me things that allowed me to ask deeper questions that have moved me through what certain There's a of the past year. It's just something that shows you. Yeah. That you're born at the right place the right time and you are perfectly perfect. Like you are perfect exactly as you are and everything is moving as it as it should be.
It's so such a cool thing to look at because it brings up those questions about alignment. You'll hear people talk about that in personal growth and spirituality a lot. And I think there's a lot of people that know there's something off with their life but they don't know what it is. And that's the most irritating feeling is like, I know something needs to change, but I just have no idea where to start. Like, is it my fitness? Is it, my job? Is it where I'm living?
Like it can be really difficult and I think human design gives you the opportunity to really question that it gives you a framework to experiment with and say oh I really relate with this and yeah, I'm really feeling that dissonance or I'm feeling my energy is drained. Or I really do feel like my body were like, retracts from the idea of going to my job every day like oh, that's a an icky feeling.
Maybe that's something I should look at and it's such a cool tool to just assess your life and again with everything like take what resonates and leave, what doesn't but for me, absolutely everything has been spot-on and its really reassured me that that what I'm interested in and pursuing and allowing myself to try. Why is leading me on the right
path? So if anyone's interested please reach out absolutely it is just I think to what human design has given me. A now I'm also diving into the gene Keys a little bit more. I'll pull that will probably be discussed more in the future as I learned more but really like this is something I've said and I've been told that we've all heard said many many times and it can be so frustrating but it is so True. Just be patient.
And I know that can be so painful to hear if you're in a situation where you just feel absolutely icky like you just are not happy, you're not doing maybe that well but I think human design, any any tool similar to human design, but I believe both found this with, with specifically HD is that it helps you kind. Get started. And also shows you kind of, helps you be patient because it kind of, for me. Anyway, it it made a lot of
initial sense to my brain. You know, it kind of, that's the thing that's nice about human design as well because it does kind of satisfy a little bit of that logical aspect of the brain, whereas, like, something like astrology is, beautiful and it's so helpful, but it's the even a little less logical but I kind of understood a lot about myself in an instant, and then I was like, okay, Now, what a little bit and it kind of was a tool that I could keep coming back to and help me be patient
as these things worked through myself and released it can feel kind of infuriating, I felt infuriated quite a few times the past like six months because I've been repeating even on
here. The same topic has come up for me again and again and again and it's this Letting Go Letting Go letting go. But now all the sudden it's like, I'm Feeling it and I'm like, no time has passed like you know it just kind of gets there and you've been supported this entire time and you you we all get to the other side and then we go through it again and then we get to the other side again and then we go through it again and we get to start again
and it's just this beautiful thing called life. I think it's really important to also be aware of when you're comparing to other people with being on social media as most of us. Or it can be difficult to see video after video of people living their lives perfectly or doing that Fitness routine that you've been trying to do and struggling with. And it seems like people aren't struggling. There are some accounts that are doing their best to be transparent.
But even when people are being transparent on social media, there's still so many nuances that you can't see behind the scenes of of what's happening. And that's, that's perfectly fine. Like, people don't have to share everything, that's the beauty of social media. That's the beauty of Being able to talk about the topics that you want to and give those sides of yourself. Nobody, I don't think anybody should be expected to show their entire life as toxic social media.
Kind of makes it feel that way that some people are expected to show everything and but I've said this on a previous episode to that that perfect morning routine that you see this girl doing, she filmed it perfectly once and it's been played 1.5 million times she You did it perfectly once and it probably doesn't look that way every single day of her life and it's so important you ever tried to record something like that. It is not natural or unnatural thing.
Like your her routine does not look like that. I've made a couple videos like that I've tried to be very clear about the fact that like, you know, even this like, these are things I like to do, but every day they look a little bit differently about that but to pause and like set up the camera and then do your routine and then move to the different room. And then Set up your camera and did it like it. Just feels goofy. Like, I'm like, what that, what
the hell? I know I made my first, like, get ready for the gym video yesterday, just because I had never tried it and I was like, you know what, this might suck, but I'm gonna try it and see what happens. Okay, this is like full pulling back. The curtain of what that actually looks like. I re tied my shoes like four times for the camera because my foot was like not in the frame. How silly? And then I And braiding my hair and the only white wall was
right behind my toilet. So I was standing straddling, my toilet braiding braiding. My hair like straddling, my toilet facing the wall. So also even weirder and braiding my hair with the white wall background. Not natural. I don't do that every day. Thanks we do for the gram, right.
So it just doesn't look like that and everyone's in a different different chapter like the The followers don't really matter like you never know, they could have ten thousand robots and to real 2000 real people thought, like it just is not an accurate representation of somebody who is living in alignment or in their purpose, or in their potential. Like you can't say that in here. Yeah. After you're done. Sorry, you can finish.
I was just going to say that like just because you might follow somebody, that's I'm really into health and wellness. So I'll reference that a lot. But if you're following somebody who has 200,000 followers in Health and Wellness, Is it doesn't mean that they're doing it perfectly. It just means that the parts of it that they're sharing a lot of people resonate with and they are most definitely struggling with other things on the back end.
So just because they have the following and look like everything's going, well, it also doesn't mean that that's their purpose and potential. Like there's a lot of people that I don't even want to say, like influencers and but social media people that you see in the public eye that Suddenly change gears and they want to start a new chapter, they've branded themselves one way for a while, and they're looking to start a new chapter and everybody goes through those phases.
So, just be gentle with yourself and your in the perfect chapter. Yes. And also listen to yourself to, I mean, I think Alexis and I have both experienced this in the past year to, it's like, if you come across an account or even maybe an account that you loved, and then all the sudden you're seeing their stuff and it's just like getting this causing you to have it. Yeah, the anything like it the hell like oh no, I don't like that.
Or like you find yourself just like no I don't want to look at that. Listen to that because energy does not lie and the amount of things that I have kind of just said no to, you know, without judgment just like that person is where they are and it's nothing that they're doing wrong or even, right? It's just is what it is and I don't buy with that. Don't Try not to allow yourself to stick with it because that's just putting yourself through unnecessary ickiness. So, just like unfollow.
There's nothing personal about and unfollow. They're really, really isn't. And if you feel like that person is going to notice that you unfollowed them, you can actually go to their page and click the drop down and mute mute their stories, and mute their posts. If somebody needs another option and like, duh, Don't want to completely and follow the person. I definitely have some accounts muted. Not because I dislike the person it's like it's my own thing.
Like we're projecting our own stories, onto the things that are posted. And if right now I don't want to see a certain type of content, then it's up to me to control that environment, not for me to expect that person to post any differently. That's that person. So, take control of your own space. It happened the people in the back. Yeah, it's not up to You to expect other people to act
differently. It's up to you to control your own space and protect your energy and control what comes in. So definitely mute block unfollow and create a healthier environment for yourself in your phone. It makes a big difference. Yes, you're getting sun in your face. Now I am, it's a really bright and I've thought about getting up and closing the curtain because I have to lean forward to reach the microphone. So, when I lean forward, I'm
blind. But I feel like that was a really good Riff on discovering your potential. And I think that's also something interesting that, the, the show, the machine that the show that I was watching, I'll write it in the in the description. If anybody wants to watch it, I would love to hear your own thoughts on it and what it means. But even the thought of discovering your potential, I feel like there's discover your potential, find your purpose and
aligned with your highest self. There's all these like lofty things that people say but you're actually just there. You don't have to find anything it's just happening like you don't have to go on a like archaeological dig and discover your purpose. Like you're not you're not like searching like it is within, you know and that's what's coming.
Your purpose is A better way to say that is you're discovering yourself like your potential is the potential of who you are, not what you can do. I mean that's a part of it for sure but you can do what you want to do. You can do what you do because of who you are. Exactly. And the way you do it is because of who you are. So it all comes back to who you
are and and what's inside. So if you're looking to discover your purpose, if you're familiar with that term it's all comes back to getting to know you yourself. Mhm. Which is a can be a more complicated answer, which is more complicated than people would like, but it is way more fun. It is fun. Once you get into it and you actually do start digging in and asking yourself questions, like what makes you the happiest? Like what can you do for hours
and like forget about time. Or what spaces do you walk into and get super excited about? Like like when you have sensation I love? Yeah, they're like whatever that is for you. Whether you get chills, whether you get like buzzing excitement or whether you get super energized, it's different for everybody. And again, a plug for human design, it kind of it tells you what that is for you, for me, it's a gut instincts. That's like literally in my stomach and sometimes it feels
like a fire going up in my core. When I'm so lit up by something that's my generator. Energy type Carly's a manifest, ER, it's a little bit different for her, but human design is such a cool tool because it gives you Kind of a cheat code, not an answer key, but definitely a cheat code to experiment with and all in all I think it has all the answers, but you have to align them with the right question.
Still, I didn't give you the answer to this specific question, but there's most of the answers there. You just have to figure out where they go. Yeah, that sounds confusing but that's why we're here to like chat with you about it. So anyway, all in all you get to set the level of your potential Oil, which actually is non-existent like, it's this guy's always going, there's always potential in so many different ways. It's not just like one category of potential, there's so many
different ways. You can take your potential and your purpose and it all starts with you. It doesn't start with anything outside of, you know, you are the key. That was a good one. I liked this episode. I think I'd like to come back and listen to this episode in the future. This might, this might be a moment of future us coming back to listen to past us to get advice on exact resident present situation. So hello future. Oscar here listening, I love it.
