Got it. Hello. Hello, hello. It's been so long since Carly and I have recorded together. We were just looking at the calendar and almost some 9th 10th. Yeah, almost a month. Since we've sat down and recorded together, that's so crazy. We don't normally leave that much time in between. I'm like, what were we? What was going? I don't even know, I don't even know what have time actual. I mean I say that but then I look and I'm like okay Okay, within that month, my sister got married.
I went to Daytona Beach. I packed up my entire life, I moved to Minneapolis. So a lot has happened and that's why it's been a while. Yeah, you were busy, I was busy but you're busy too. Yeah, I was busy. I was just telling you the other day. I don't know if I think this is a common thing, people feel, but the days have been passing. And I know I've been busy but it hasn't been things that are really fulfilling me. It's been like busy busy things and it's very fresh.
Strating to be like, I know I did a lot today, but it doesn't feel like I did a lot today because it wasn't really the stuff I would prefer to be doing, but we're getting there now. Yeah. And your birthday soon? Yeah, it's in 10 days. I'm gonna be 26. How exciting? I'm very excited with us, was so strange. I feel still like I'm 22. Sometimes same. I feel that all the time. I'm I think you, you and I relate but age doesn't feel like a thing.
I feel like I can relate to human beings as humans. It doesn't matter what age they are. I could talk to a nine-year-old, a ninety-year-old, 20 year old 40 year old and it doesn't matter like I can get along with anybody. And I agree, I can also not guess ages at all. My worst nightmare is when I'm hanging out with people only, like, guess guess how old I am more like, guess how old they are and I'm like, I literally can't abort Mission. Like I have no clue.
I'm gonna fail. Yeah, it's interesting. We have a friend here and she's around my mom's age. Actually I love hanging out with her, but I know she sometimes feels, she said this to my mom a couple times, like we need to help Carly find. Her own age or like people around her her time of life. And I'm like, I mean, if that happens naturally, yes, but I don't feel like I need to find those people to be happy often times. I connect way more actually my whole life.
I've been like this. I connect more with people who are usually older than me. I do, it's like something. There's just sometimes it's not for everybody not this is not a blanket statement, but there's a depth that comes with having more. We're years on this Earth. I think that's really funny because I can feel that way on some level like being in Italy and hanging out with you and your mom. And like we hung out with a lot of people older because fras older as well.
And so every the whole Community around you is older, but I also really relate to younger. You know, that about me. I'm like I relate to younger people and even some of the friends I've made on social media and coaching I will Consider them friends and I found out one of them was 21 and I'm like, you're 21. I thought you were like 25 at least just because of what they're interested in and they
feel so much older. And the way someone carries himself themselves, really matters a lot and I've always been described as an old soul I guess or oh, you're so you're so grown-up. You're such an adult like those were things thrown at me which has its own mini with small T traumas to it. But yeah, I've always Always been that person I guess so I don't know. Age is just irrelevant ages, but a number I've always been so excited for the late 20s though. I don't know why.
I just remember laying in my bed in like early high school or late Middle School age. And I was like, 27, I don't know why, but like 26. 27, 28, 29, like that version of me, she's doing something. Yeah, we were just talking about this because I was saying how I'm going to be 26 and like that. Feels like a big thing to me. Like not really right now but I remember growing up. Same thing I'm like oh what am I going to be doing? When I'm 26 years old like what's this?
Look, like I still don't know what I think. Life is a great mystery and I'm just learning how to ride joyfully along. I think it's a crazy moment when you realize that nobody knows what they're doing.
I remember reaching that point where all of a sudden you see your parents as real people, that actually don't have all the answers and you're like, what what like you're supposed to know everything and then you realize that they actually are just guessing and everybody is guessing and nobody knows what they're doing and then everyone's just comparing themselves to other people who they think know what they're doing. But they also don't know.
What they're doing. So it's like we're all creating this lie that other people know, but really no one knows and we stress ourselves out way more than we need to. It's so stupid and no one knows what's best for you, except for yourself which leads so well into what we're talking about
today, partly. And I wanted to do an episode on our Journeys with human design and how we found it and how it's affected Our Lives between And now because it's been almost a year actually we found a Dandy year. It feels like lifetimes I can't believe it's only been a year. I'm kind of impressed. Like wow it's been a year but also it's only been a year. I'm so surprised because it's had a huge impact on both of us and it. Hey like I've shed like 325 Carly's since then.
Yeah, crazy. And he Design helps you connect with your own intuition and really proves and shows you that you are the only person that knows your path in the best decision for you. So all that comparing of everybody else, nobody knows what they're doing. Everyone's pretending to know what they're doing, but nobody knows what's best for you. Except for yourself and human design. Helps you really stay on that
path. So without further Ado, let's get into it. Hello and welcome to the let it flow podcast hosted by your spiritual besties Alexis and Carly, we're just two humans figuring things out. together. it was a warm Sunday afternoon in Rome Once Upon a Time in room, we were all squished into our, 25 M2 apartment and we discovered human design but was such a okay Okay. So for anybody who is unfamiliar with human design, you may have questions. Like what is it, and why should you care? And I have the same questions. Carly probably had the same questions too. Yeah, we found him a design. Well, I can only speak for myself. I found him a design through a girl that I followed on
Instagram who posted her type. Kind of like, people post their Enneagram type or their astrology Zodiac and me being a self-discovery. Here I was like anything that I can put my information into that will spit out an archetype at me that I can learn about. By all means, let's do it.
So that's how I found it. She posted on her Instagram story, I Googled it. I found the body Graaff generator and I got my chart and it was really freaking confusing and I had no idea what to look at because it's a whole bunch of shapes and numbers and lines and astrology signs and I was like, okay, this makes no sense. And it's really deep and complex when you get into it and have no idea what to look at.
So I kind of shrugged it off. I mean, we all looked it up as Carly said, we were in your apartment in Rome. Yeah, last year and my God, yeah, well, it was funny because I had heard the term human design, being thrown around for quite a few years. I remember I was thinking about this the other day. I remember hearing someone say, Design. I swear in high school. Actually, I didn't think much of it though. And back then, the big thing was the 16 personalities.
I think about time that I had to take that in high school. Yep. And then since then I've heard, I'd heard it a couple times more and I figured it was like something with like biology or something. Like literally human did the design of humans something and then yeah, we looked it up and I was Like whoa. This is something intriguing. Yeah and it actually when you said you thought it was something with Biology, it
actually does combine. A lot of C us from genetics to quantum physics to astrology each in Kabbalah. We're not going to get into the details, I will be a different episode, we're going to focus more on our stories here and how its impacted us and why we're so passionate about it.
Because there's definitely a leap that Take from something, just being cool to learn about to being like, no, this is impacting my life in a significant way and I want to teach others about it and I want to share about it. That is what this has done, because I have learned a ton about 16 personalities. I've done that test multiple times. I am, the protagonist are we surprised? And I've taken the Enneagram, which has changed a little bit in the past.
Couple years for me, I can't remember if I'm a 3 or sudden whichever one is the The Adventurous one. I think it's a seven, I can't remember but there's just so many. So many different things you can take and those tests are also fun. Definitely take them learn about yourself as much as you can in any way that you can, I'm all for it.
But what was so crazy about human design, is that it goes so much deeper than just giving you an archetype of your, an Enneagram 7 and it means this and it's like a few paragraphs and that's what you have. I know, Enneagram does go deeper, there's other Enneagram readers out there.
I've discovered And you can always go deeper on anything but when you just look it up at face value, there's a couple paragraphs about your 16 personalities, your Myers-Briggs and that's that it doesn't really give you any steps of how to deal with the good how to like use the good parts. How to deal with the not so great qualities, how to use it, to better your life and human design is pretty clear on that. It gives you fell practical steps it is.
I think we've probably talked briefly about some of these things and some of our past episodes. But I just want to save this to what I really loved about it. I've been intrigued in kind of followed astrology for many years now. I've never really gotten super deep into it, like I couldn't even tell you the order of the zodiacs, but I know a lot about astrology about, like, random aspects. And one thing I've always struggled with with astrology, is, yes.
Like you just said, you can always get deeper with it. It, however, I'm strategy remains very Like something you have to sit with and meditate on and you kind of it's not very clear and actionable with the things to do with it. I guess. And some people might be like, oh well I've had a solid reading so now I've dug into it and I found it to be very actionable. So that's great. I mean this is just been my experience with it but human
design instantly. It's because it's partly astrology and so many other things like Alexis just mentioned, but you go and you start reading it. and it just, I know we both talked about it this way. It just an unlocks things, and it's makes everything about who you are, your struggles, your, your, your challenges, but also your gifts and your strengths. Just it makes everything normal and okay, because you are designed to do exactly these
things. So it just gives this it's like a guidebook kind of to work through and live how you're here to live, basically I like to say that you can play a game without the instructions, and just figure it out along the way, or you can get a leg up in a step ahead and actually read the guidebook and that's what human design is for your life. You can stumble along and figure out life. Obviously human design is a very Niche topic and not many people are familiar with it and that's fine.
Your life is going to go great. It's going to unfold exactly as its supposed to. You don't need human design, but is it helpful? Full 100%, will it maybe cut some of the challenges and self negative self-talk and the questioning in like half. Absolutely. I do believe that but I love to our trainer actually because Alexis Alexis is done with her training.
I'm still like we three but we're working there but she I think in that said that by the time you know, you would get to adulthood in like into I older years, it's naturally all taken place. Like we are naturally going to be living by your design by the end of your life because that's what we're here to do. Life is meant to get us to live
by our design. It's just when you have the knowledge and the materials and the tools you can get to that point quicker and that's nice because, you know, we don't have forever on this. Swirled. And that's what makes it special. And you want to take the most advantage of it.
Yeah. In the beginning of this episode, we're talking about how everybody is comparing themselves to each other and thinks that someone else has it figured out, but they are living their design, and you need to live yours and talking about that Enneagram and 16 personalities. There's a limited amount of buckets and inhuman design. Know chart is the same and it's
absolutely incredible. How specific it is when you get down to the nitty-gritty details and you see your channels, which are your gifts, I like to call them and what gates are activated for you, what centers are activated and open for you and it's so freaking crazy to see how your chart interacts with other people's and like why Carly? And I are best friends. It makes so much sense. Why argue with maybe a certain family member about something?
It makes sense you can see it Where they have something really solid and they understand this and you might have it open. You can see that in your charts and it's so crazy to me. Like, I just am blown away every single time I see a chart. Yeah, it's amazing. And one thing with that, with learning why you may have a certain relationship with certain people and maybe you get along well, or you really don't get along well. Like she just said, it makes
sense. And then what also is beautiful is like it gives you, it's given us. I think we can. Say this more patience and understanding with people who sometimes you just want to like why are you the way you are okay, like they're here to deal with this stuff and to be like this in these ways, and I'm here to be like this, so what can we learn from each other and maybe it's one-sided for a while, you know, maybe I'm I'm aware of
this so I'm like okay, wow. Like I I have the responsibility to, you know, take what I can from this relationship, but yeah, with Carly and I are charts are very, very different, very in the best ways. It's it's funny when people pull up the charts, I've had friends, look up their charts and they look at it and they immediately think there's something wrong
with it, isn't it? So funny how we always pick out the bad details even when you have no idea what the chart means, you look like I looked at my chart and I have, I think six open centers, like six of the squares if you're looking at your chart right now, six of my shapes are white and three of them are colored in, and I immediately thought I have missing pieces. Something's wrong with me. I don't have enough filled. And why aren't mine colored?
And I had no idea what the chart meant, and I immediately thought there's something wrong. But no chart is wrong, there's nothing wrong, there's people that have all of the shapes white, there's people that have all of them filled in theirs, Unlimited variations charts. It's you.
It is you. And the more I learn about it, I have been brought to tears learning about my chart and reading digging into it. There's been Parts where I've set down my manual, my book, whatever I'm learning from and just out there for a second like holy shit. Like how is this actually referencing specific events from my life and it's not like how I feel with astrology sometimes.
You can just read into it as if there's millions of people across the world that are getting the same message from the pattern or co-star or whatever. You're getting astrology from, they're getting the same message and you just read what you want into it. Yes. There's always some of that because you see what you see, but I see how that's relevant to you wherever you are exactly. But there's been certain things
where there's no interpretation. They're so specific that I'm I'm Blown Away. Yeah, it's pretty incredible. So I guess this is kind of naturally starting off to like how it's affected us in a positive way. And now if we want to get into that now, yeah, well I was going to mention with our charts being so different.
Human design is all about really deepening that understanding of how everyone is. So unique because there's just so much hate and conflict in the world because everyone's trying to force everyone to be a certain way. Way, for whatever reason and human design shows your differences so that you can understand and work better together and so Carly. And I having different charts just on this podcast. I'm a generator and she is a
manifest. ER, those are two very, very different energy type very and the way that we interact since learning about that, I think it's just gotten better and better. I think we got a long while before, but I don't know that this Would have kept going without this knowledge. I think we both would have gotten frustrated and probably called it quits.
I and I'm going to speak for myself but this is this is something I've learned through my human design journey and this is a great example of it. I probably would have got frustrated, not at you, but at myself trying to play the role that I thought that you wanted me to in terms of, you know, like Full disclosure, I have been very hands-off the podcast recently and like Alexis is basically doing everything to be honest. Thank you so much.
We're gonna we're gonna now, but I just other things in my life have been taking my time and my energy and so we've been just playing these roles right now, but I know if I didn't know this about myself, if I didn't know this about you, I would have been so stressed because I've been like, oh my God, I need to
be doing more. I need to be doing more, I need to be, I need to be being a generator, basically, and putting so much time to this and doing so much of this and that and there's a time and place for some of those things. Absolutely, even with my energy as a Manifesto which are energy. If you are a Manifesto, maybe you can relate to this.
It comes very much in flows. Like there might be times where you really feel like You're connecting a little bit with more of that kind of classic generator energy but not as a generator more. As like this ideas coming, and you're really feeling like that flow going into this one expression and then all your energy goes there. But then there's a time when, even if that idea still is exciting. You meaning to take a step back and take a break, and I feel like I got off topic there a
little bit. But no, you're on topic because I would have Felt the same way I would have been trying to be a manifest. ER, and that's something that I looking back at design school. I was trying to do that because I honestly wonder how many people in our class were manifest errs and how many designers are actually manifestos or manifesting generators.
So interesting because there were a lot of our classmates who could pull ideas, like you have a vision in your head and then be able to draw this thing that doesn't exist. I've never had that skill and I It felt like I was not creative enough to be in design because I couldn't create something that
doesn't exist. I was really good at taking active where, for example, that's what I designed I could look at a piece of activewear and redesign it and make it better which is completely my channel of judgment and my channel of mutation, it's in my chart that I can do that and I'm skilled at seeing where systems can be made better. And things can be improved, but I kept feeling like I needed to be a manifest, ER, and same with creating an even this podcast.
Feeling like I need to create better content or come up with ideas that haven't been done before. That's not my design. That's Carly's design to come up with these ideas and so I kind of release that pressure on myself to Carly and she'll come up with these ideas and I'm like, sweet cool. That is your job, but you are the manifested. I'm the generator. That makes sure the post gets up. I'm the one that makes sure. The podcast gets edited.
Yay! I have that generator energy to really commit to getting those tasks done and you can come up with all the big ideas and we can collaborate on them. And so our partnership works really well together in that way, which is just so crazy. Because even as you were saying explaining how you use your generator energy in this way, I feel that looks like natural being like almost almost this is a theme throughout my entire life. I can look back like feeling guilty.
Almost that I'm not doing more but I'm like I'm doing exactly what I'm supposed to be doing. It's just this is where a lot of Conditioning can come in for basically. Anyone who's not a generator, can feel this because, I mean, sorry. Everybody can have Kev. No respect. Wait, everyone has conditioning.
However, for a lot of people who are not generators, a lot of our conditioning is basically that we are, have been told to be or trying to be a generator our entire life because the main majority of the world, Society is generator, like, everything is 70% of the population is generator or manifesting
generator. So, you see that in a corporate structure, that's why our society functions the way it does with getting people to work as cogs in a machine to complete a task, like, stay on task work this many hours, go, go go. That's very generator energy, but there is 30 percent of the population that is not meant to work that way and they're trying so hard. To be that way. Yes. Also I want to say to, I feel like a lot of that to. Yes, it's generator energy.
But it's generator energy. Not in. It's like, Best forest for me. Yeah, because majority of those people are probably miserable if I'm able to make that generalization. And the whole point of human design is to live by your design. So you can live the most joyous, free, Freedom filled, happy life that you are literally here designed to live. So, just wanted to say that. Yes. And this doesn't mean that the other types cannot accomplish things. There's so much.
We can get into. We're trying to keep this focused because we go on rabbit rabbit holes so easily, but I will do more episodes in the future on more details on that. But human design. Helps you stay aligned with what is meant for you and how your life is meant to play out what you're here to do. Because we're all spending so much time. Trying to be something that we're not and humid design, helps you unlearn all of that stuff and relearn who you really are.
And when you look at your chart when you Go to body graph chart.com, completely free. It's just the one that I use, I'm plugging it because go look up your chart, it makes more sense to be looking at it go. Now pause the episode, go look up your chart but when you look it up, there's going to be also, descriptions underneath it where it says, theme, not self theme, all sorts of other stuff energy type profile and your themes,
help you. Understand when you're in alignment and not in alignment and alignment for anybody who doesn't know, just means like on the right path, not the right path. What's for you or not for you? What feels good feels good, doesn't feel good. So for example, me as a generator I have a self theme of satisfaction and a not self theme of frustration.
So whenever I'm feeling frustration Bubble Up and I'm just it feels like just so icky and you might understand what I'm talking about is just Internal like, gut clenching frustration on something. That's when I take a moment to step back and see, where am I resisting something?
Where am I doing things that actually don't serve me or, you know, sacrificing my power in any way and just pause for a second because I meant to feel satisfied throughout my whole life and when I feel frustration it's like hitting a bumper on the bowling lane and it's like, frustration boot come back to satisfaction. How can we? We how can we come back to the middle and be aligned at satisfaction and Carly has different themes.
I'll let you talk about those. Yeah so myself beam is peace. So when I'm feeling most at peace, that's pointing me in the right direction if you will and then my not self theme is anger which when I saw that it really confuses me because I'm like, I'm not an angry person and I had a reading last year actually and she explained she even said it, she's like nope. You're not an angry person. I was like, no, not at all.
And she's like, so it's not exactly a man like, anger that we think of, as anger that comes out for manifestos, but she explained it to me like this, and I completely really know. Like, if you're kind of in your flow, are you doing something? If I'm in my flown, I'm doing something and something distracts me, or like like it's, it's like an energy tries to
poke into my bubble. And I just like, have this Instant flash of like no no no and just when I feel like it's similar to frustration but it's more of like a hot like quick like oh thing like that and and even just knowing your self and not self, theme can be enough. For many people, I mean just to be aware of those and start to navigate your life based on yourself and not self theme is incredible. Incredible, the most important parts of your chart.
If you're looking it up right now and you're not ready for a reading and you just want to dive in your self, look at your energy type. So for me, that's generator. Your self and non-self theme. So satisfaction in frustration for me your Authority, which is your how your intuition works. And it will say, one of seven options, there's seven different
ways, your intuition can work. And most of the time you'll hear people say follow your gut, follow your heart and those are just the, they're all set and, you know, meant to be good but not everybody is meant to follow that Carly has an emotional Authority. Which means she's meant to wait and make decisions over time and not follow her gut instinct. Yes, pay attention. Maybe pay attention to, like, what it feels in the moment but then let it rest for a little
bit before you make a decision. Whereas I have a gut instinct. We're in the moment. Someone could say, let's go to this concert and I'll be like, hell yeah. Book a ticket. Like let's get the ticket or when Carly you called me and said, tickets to Italy or $600. I booked it like, right away. I said hell yes and that is my gut instinct. That's how my intuition works. I know what's good for me and I do it in the moment and not everyone is meant to function that way and there's again,
there's seven different options. So it'll say, one of seven, Google, whatever your Authority is, and read about how it works, or DM one of us, that's your happy happy to help and decode this whole thing and then the, it's not necessary to dig into right away. But your profile is, Really cool to look at. And that is the most like Myers-Briggs personality test. Sorry. And he just delivered me pizza. Oh, I wish I had a little Italian boyfriend to deliver me pizza.
I'm just gonna meet myself and take a quick bite. Hold on. So, there's a lot of things you can dive into with human design and when you look up your chart, there's going to be a ton of other stuff written under there. Do not Get overwhelmed, it's very easy to go down rabbit, holes, and look up, what environment should I be in? Or how do i digest things? And that's really confusing.
Because it'll say, that you, your invest environment is a kitchen and you're like, do I need to live in a kitchen? Do I need to live on a mountain? Do I need to live in a cave and that's not what I mean. Engine whines kitchen. Really? Yeah, I love that in, but it's attracts attract, and makes sense. Yes, but I'm not getting into that now. I know we're going to keep saying, but no, we're going to really back. We're not going to talk about
that right now. but there's a ton of different things that are really helpful and in the past year, I've started to experiment, kind of naturally, I didn't look up. Human design and say I'm going to join in on this experiment. Sign me up. I'm going to start living this way. It's just naturally unfolded because once you have this knowledge, you can't really forget it and you start to see it unfold in your life.
And like I said, earlier it really, for me, at least it really felt like something within me was unlocking. Like, it was like that permission, not that we need it. Sometimes it feels nice, it's more like validation that, like these things, I've I'm feeling and I felt since I was a child or completely normal and they're exactly me like it's not that I was beating. It's not that I was doing something wrong by never finishing a project, you know?
It's just like, I know I'm learning how to find the people around me to help me finish something. and, In. Like, the way that I was doing things, my whole life, it was actually like my natural flow of energy. I just was wasn't in a supportive environment in that way, because everyone basically is living as a generator. Right now even if they're not actually so fascinating.
My chart has confirmed so much stuff from the past few years for for me of traveling and figuring out what I want to do where I want to go. I have an open identity Center and that just means that I can be conditioned. They're more easily and have more questions and feel more searching for that because it is undefined and the questions for that Center are, am I looking for direction and love? And my hand asking yourself questions, like, where can I
find direction in love? We're like, should I live here? Should I go there? Well, I find it here. Will that person give it to me and all this These questions circulating in your head and I was like, oh my God, this entire Journey for me, has been learning about, who am I? Because I spent so much time in school really trying to fit that mold of you do something right. You get praise, you do something
right, you get praise. And I was really in that cycle overachieving and unlearning that, before I even knew about human design, I kind of had this thought of this isn't me. I I have such a part of me that just wants to drop everything and travel and have no expectations but then there's a part of me that held onto the expectations and so all of that is really shown in my chart of where I was conditioned and what skills and talents I have naturally and it just lines up
exactly. It's incredible. Yeah. Well it's interesting too because I think of our friend Who is also a Manifesto and what you tell me when you're talking to her about? She was like, I don't want to be here for him manifest. I just want to be a generator. I've been trying to be a generator my entire life. I don't get this Manifesto shaped. Like I don't want to do it and and that made me laugh. And I related to it though because like for me, It's kind of like human design in your
chart. It puts you up and really shows you who you are and who you're not. And when we're taught that we are meant to be one way. Like it's been really hard, even even just the last, like, couple months. I've gone through phases where I'm like, gosh, I just sometimes it would be really nice to be able to be more like a generator and have that energy to junk. Just go, go go, dude. To do.
And then I'm finally getting out of that cycle of those of like there's literally no point in doing that because I'm not and that's something that can be. I don't want to say a challenging aspect of human design because it's something we're meant to go through, but just some more difficult aspect. Be in why it's really it is helpful. Sometimes to have a reader, whoever it may be, because They can help. We can help.
They can help guide you through that process of like accepting the fact that like, I'm not that, but I am me and I am here to do exactly what I am designed to do. And that's it. It's so simple.
It is so simple. When I get, when you get down to it, we're all just meant to be ourselves, but we're so bad at it so bad at it because from day, Zero, You have to say, well, you think about when parents have little kids running around and they're just trying things and they throw a football once and the dad's like they're going to be a football star and it's like Diehard protection like projection projection. They're going to do that. They're going to do all the
things that I never did. That's just a you know, you see that in movies all the time and I feel like that's just a stereotype. But it does happen though when parents are like my kids, To go to an ivy league and they're like seven years old and then that is just projected.
I think this is a big one too and not exactly my experience, but I know that it is for many people like until you get to grade school you're allowed and able to be this like free beautiful being who just like gets dirty and like experiments with like crafts and just does all this stuff dresses.
Funny like whatever and and then the in instant moment that you get put into school, it's like, oh now you have to act this way and dress this way and be this type of person and do this correct and this you can't do it's like all of a sudden box I saw an Instagram real yesterday from this family that does van life this couple with two kids I think and she voiced it over with her thoughts on so ID and how we're designed for
disconnect. And she pointed out even just before children, you get married, you have separate jobs and you were just talking about this. Francesca has been up the office a lot and so disconnect disconnect, the parents have different jobs, disconnect and then she said, you have a baby but you have to go to work and you send them to daycare disconnect. Yeah. You they grow up, you send them to school where they're forced to do something else and they're away from the parents disc. Connect.
And then you get forced to do something, you don't want to do in, like, do a job that you don't want to do and that's disconnected. And it's constantly disconnecting from self from yourself, but also from each other, the way our society functions. And so that's what brings on all of the conflict. And so, we were really shitty at being ourselves. But then there's certain people that think they are want everybody to be like them. So, then there's no conflict and
nobody. I like that sense of understanding has been lost and just allowing people to be themselves and accepting that everybody is different and you might not like them cool. You don't have to like everybody. They're not here for you and human designed us really allows you to see people more clearly and have a lot more compassion for people. Like, I see my family so much more deeply and with much more understanding the things they do. Don't frustrate me as much as they used to, I know.
I understand where their habits came from and even some of the things that they don't understand about themselves. I've seen in their chart and I know it to be so true, for myself, for you, for many friends that I've talked through it, that I just kind of accept it. That it is true. And I haven't read their charts to them. Yeah. Directly because I don't try to force this on anybody, but I've seen things in there that just help me understand them.
And I want to say to because I feel like Like a lot of times this talk about society and how its kind of in so many words like fucked us all off. Basically I feel like we can get very upset about it and kind of Westward activist act we can get Up in arms. Yes, we can get up in arms, over this thing and get really upset about who's Dent. Like whose fault, is this? What? How did this happen? How did the love of Allah?
And the funny thing is, if you read, actually the human design book, they talk about this a little bit and then I have actually been awesome looking into more deeply. The gene Keys, which is kind of a tail off of human design spear connected. Not going to get into that, but he talks about this even more. Is all of this happened for a reason and we're coming back into this. And we were it's part of our Evolution and how we grow and learn and get even better as humanity.
And I just have, I've never been a person who's Super Active. How do you call that? What's the word adjective? I don't know, I don't know but I think people understand what you're talking about. I'm like been an activist that. Okay, but I get like obviously like anyone get upset about topics but I had really been working on letting a lot of that go because Our energy is very precious and anytime we are focusing on anything that we are unhappy about.
We are giving that thing energy that is literal science. So I say this as well because I want to say when you go through your human design and get deeper with it, whether that be on your own or with a reader. If you have a good reader then they're going to work through this. This in the same way I'm telling you but your conditioning there's no point in being upset about it at all, actually the
opposite. Because so many of our gifts come through those things that we have had a lot of challenge with that, we have been conditioned and they're really as shitty and difficult as sometimes they can be. In the events have been in people's lives. They are our gifts. They are gems.
And To be able to use whatever tool you have, whether that be human design, or astrology, or a therapist, or whatever to really mind the gem and learn from it. And then start to live by your design is the biggest Gift Anyone can give themselves because we're not here to be pissed about the hand that has been dealt to us in life. We're here. To like learn from it and make it as beautiful as we can. So, yeah. But the open centers.
I mentioned earlier, discovering that I had an open identity Center. I have an open, willpower Center, open emotional, open throat, open head, open on Jenna. I have so much open and I have learned the most lessons in those areas, and for the longest time, I was living according to what I thought other people. To me to do that is the not self theme of identity. I was trying to overachieve to prove my worth.
That is the open heart. I was taking on other people's ideas and always questioning my own overthinking open head open on tuna looking for answers. I was doing all of the not self themes, not self, meaning, not living in alignment, like, kind of the Shadow side of having it open, if that makes sense. I was doing a lot of that for so long and I started to unravel and recognize that a little bit. When I quit my job decided to travel, this was before I discovered human design.
But then once I saw my chart and I read all about that and I saw it on paper, I was able to sit back and really journal and like break it down and realize that it wasn't wrong. It wasn't like oh shoot I've been playing the game wrong, my whole life that's not the case. Like I had to go through those things in order to Get myself here to have this podcast today to be able to learn how to speak my voice.
Speak my truth, to learn to show myself freely on social media, to learn to encourage people, and in have my message because you're open centers. Allow you to learn the most, and therefore, teach the most from those lessons. You've learned. So, I am so thankful for how my chart is laid out. I'm I love it. I find beauty in it every single time. I look at it, that I've learned so many lessons in those
centers. That now I can Teach and help guide finding your own purpose, your own way like don't live according to other people's shit. I've done it. You don't have to. And so now I have that message because I have learned it and I'm able to embody it now. So that's the beauty of learning where your conditioning is understanding, where you're at and then deconditioning and that's the lifelong journey. Of human design is deconditioning to come back to
who you really are. Yeah, because an example of this, that I'm going to ask you. Right now. For sure. I think I can say, you still feel those not sub-themes pop up and you every day, right? Well, yes, yes, yeah. So it's a lifelong process which I know for some people that can be really disheartening but it
becomes. I don't have it, it becomes a habit habit and it becomes this, like I'm experiencing it like this utter fascination with this being that is Carly like I don't know, it almost like gives you a step away from being all completely wrapped up in in this Me, you know, and I can be like, oh, oh this is so I'm feeling this. Like, for me, one of the big themes is I have an open Root Center, so I can feel really pressured to find stability.
And that can really cause me a lot of challenges, because a lot of those classic ways of finding stability are not in alignment with my energy as a Manifesto. And so, when I find this like even I felt this come up with my partner, he is on This journey was starting a new business and it's beautiful and I'm so excited for him. But I can feel this almost like, well shit. What am I doing? Like, what am I doing with myself? I'm just sitting here which is not freaking true but then I
catch it and I'm like whoa. Okay that's interesting. Where is this coming from? How can I work with this? And it becomes this like almost like play that you're just watching and you're able to be like, whoa. Ooh. Oh, that didn't feel good in me. Like, what was that? That was interesting. Let's dive into that. Like, where did that come from? Exactly, it's a tool. I want to be really clear with you listening. It's a tool just like any other
personality tests in astrology. Anything you're working with is a tool for you. Take what resonates leave, what doesn't always in your entire life just live by that. Take what resonates leave. What doesn't because The design does not show up to tell you this is who you are and this is your box, it is removing boxes. It it gives you ultimate opportunity and freedom to be yourself.
It takes away anything that you've believed yourself to be in that in that box that you've created for yourself. And gives you a new perspective on may be who you want to be or who you're not even admitting to yourself that you desire to be the things that you want to achieve that. You might not even Know about until I unlocks like Harley said unlocked, these thoughts and ideas.
And there's another website. I'm going to link in the show notes that has to do with the gene keys and it gives you a single paragraph descriptions of each part of your Incarnation cross which is your life purpose and it is not actionable for anybody coming in here searching for a quick fix answer to their life. Your life purpose, your Incarnation cross is not actionable. It's something that unfortunately, It's naturally as you live according to your design.
So as you follow satisfaction, as you follow piece, it naturally unfolds. But if you look yours up in the gene Keys link, I think that you might just freaked out like I did. I every time I reread that I cry. Like every read it recently and it's unfolded even more when I first read it in April of last year. Some of it I was like, I was like, whoa. Okay, this is crazy.
I really resonated with some of it and then I really started experimenting with human design and I think I read it again in the fall and I kind of, I got something different. Every time I read it, I see something different and then I just reread it last month and I was like holy shit. Like it's really and I'm only 25. Yeah. What's it going to look like when it unfolds when I'm 40 or 50 or older like it's incredible. It tells you about your life's Work. What is it?
Life's work. Your life is your mission purpose, your challenge. And your Evolution know your Radiance of alert radios and evolution. Yes, it's highly worth reading. If you are going to sit and scroll on Tick-Tock today, I encourage you to use a quick five minutes to look this up and sacrifice to tick. Tock, tick, tock time, don't expect anything of it.
Because also the first time I read it, like Alexis said, I was like, oh this definitely speaks to me about like okay, you know, but do take a moment to Sit with it as well because I know the more I've sat with it, the more. It's so I've learned more about Gene keys and that those for that, it gives you, that's your activation sequence. So Richard, read the guy who created Gene Keys, who channeled Gene Keys through kind of
working with human design. Actually, he talks about how you can just focus on your activation sequence and learn about that, and that is more than enough. But it's, yeah, it's like You to your Highest Potential on this Earth. But it's not, like Alexis said, it's not obviously actionable like my my purpose, I don't remember the gene key number. Exactly. But it it's mainly about authenticity.
So it literally says in there, it's not about what you do but it's how you do it and you have to do everything authentically, you, no matter what that looks like for it to feel fulfilling to you. So it doesn't give you something that mean is that? It doesn't give you like go out. Be a Tarot reader you but you you know you the core of you knows what that means and if you're anything like this can.
Yeah, if you're really disconnected with who you're meant to be and highly conditioned, or you're unhappy in your life, clearly doing things that you don't enjoy, that are not for you and your your distance from your true self is far. It might not Vibe with you until you start taking those steps of like I To change something in my life. Like that's how I felt. I just was at the spot of I need to make a fucking change. Okay, I need to quit my job. I need to go see something new.
I need to figure out where I want to be that momentum. Yeah, has brought me closer and closer and closer to where I feel like I can say that I'm on the right path and I fully truly know and trust that whatever opportunities are meant to come to me, are coming through this. I made the decision to move following my gut instinct because I felt satisfied. And in this building with the roommate that I met. And I really paid attention to my human design and making this
decision. Same with applying for the job that that I did because having so many undefined centers in my chart. The, the white ones for anybody looking at their chart. If you have a lot of those, you're really affected by your environment and the people around you. Because like we said, if they're open, you're open to influence by other people.
And so, I took a tour of the place before I even applied, because I knew that the It was going to impact me a lot and that's really important to me. So I use my human design in that way and by going and doing that and being myself the at the end of my tour, the guy handed me the managers card to apply and I took it. I said, hell yes. With my gut instinct, I'm going to apply this is perfect. I love the place, I love the people. I got offered the opportunity and I responded.
That's my strategy and I responded. I took the card I applied and I got a response back from her. So like that is my, that's an example of Of the natural flow of my design and how I made this decision and how I got here and Carly's laughing because hers does not work that way. I did not know. I think I've also talked about that on this podcast, a couple of times, but I definitely have learnt that My emotional Authority, doesn't it? Yeah, it does not work like that and how I am.
A very easily excitable person. And I can easily be like, hell, yes. And then get on the bandwagon and get like a couple miles down the road, and be like, oh shit, what have I done? So, for an emotional Authority. It's not with, like, every decision you need to do this with this, a lot of the bigger decisions, the meaningful decisions. Not like, what lunch my going to have today and then you have to wait a whole two weeks just to
decide on your lunch, know? But when this is a decision, is presented to yourself. Often times it's either in the higher, the low of our emotional cycle. So emotional authorities, we have like, oh we're feeling really good and we're feeling happy and like, light and stuff. And then we have a natural just kind of like, lower-energy, not like low low, but I can feel it with myself. It's just like, I'm a little bit more quiet and just not as
social, and a little bit low. Our energy and then it comes back up. And so oftentimes these decisions present them to me in my high higher state. And so I'm like easily like yes, yes, yes. And then I'm like, okay, hold on. Now I'm really, I gotta wait, I gotta go back through the neutral and then down below and then come back to neutral. And then, how did I feel throughout this entire cycle? And in, that is going to be my decision.
And I want to say this because I find this really interesting, even if my, like kind of gut feeling in the moment, would actually be the end decision that I would have after waiting for my whole cycle, if I say yes or also know to something right away And it's my decision. I can still go through my cycle and then go on through that decision and be like, oh, shoot, is that correct? Was that good for me? Even if it was? So I don't know.
That's something I'm learning about myself well as we're winding down. I feel like we should maybe share, what is your biggest lesson with human design that
has stuck with you? that when I just shared that has been a big one, but I think the biggest one is learning more about how my energy functions as a Manifesto and how important it is for me when I get that, like, Goosebump feeling of an idea coming through and I am feeling it and it's like, yes, I am still learning how to do this but I Need to literally drop everything and go with it. Because that is what I'm here to do. I'm here to initiate things.
I'm here to act upon the ideas that are moving within me and wanting Desiring to be expressed. And that's been a big thing is, I haven't always trusted that because a lot of times in the past when I've done that, I've kind of gotten lost in the, in the middle part, you know, because I'm great and manifestos, I really great at starting things, we're not the best. Start finishing them, and that's where the generators, and the projectors in the reflectors come in.
And that's what creates this beautiful community of, like, we're all functioning to create this beautiful dream that is
life. So, yeah. And I'm still very much working with all of this and experimenting with it and, and learning the kind of more details of how it works within my own physical system, what it feels like and that but That's been a big beautiful and sometimes challenging lesson, but a really good one, I love it, I love it. I think the thing that has really stuck with me is that you, you are you, and you are meant to be doing, whatever it is that you're you're doing and
the trust that I have in life. And in the universe in God, what? You believe in Source energy is so much stronger than it ever has been. And for anyone that knows me, well, I was I went to church school for 10 years. I was very immersed in religion and this is just so different than that. It gives. It's like a give-and-take co-creation of a relationship between you and the universe and the world and it's not you putting that power outside of yourself. Self it seeing yourself.
So, clearly and then being able to work with almost it. Mike, you me, everybody. You are the universe the universe is within you. So out, this one thing I love about him going to just piggyback off that really quick, it's like I think in a lot of them were dogmatic religions. There's like, you have this go-between between you and God, are you and the maker? The Universe, whatever. And and in reality, I mean, this is something really exciting.
Also, that science is proving like we are all literally one. Like we are the universe and human design is I I like to say to that, it's like you finding your own unique language where you're communicating with the universe, but also yourself, and it's just this beautiful back and forth and Donald's. So I forgetting magical. It's really cool. Yeah, it's allowed me to trust that everything is working out.
Exactly as its supposed to. I used to be stressed and anxious and very, very future thinking very predictive trying to think of exactly what somebody could say at this party, to me who I'm going to run into, or what I'm going to do. When I graduate step by step what I need and most of the time, those things don't even happen, it's just Stressing yourself out for no reason, but being able to respond in the moment with my gut instinct
follow satisfaction and just know that whatever is happening is happening. It gives you so much freedom and brain space. Oh my God, the amount of brain space that I can. I can spend my time doing other things, and learning things and not being stressed out. My body is so much more relaxed. I feel healthier, I look healthier. I It's just completely changed. How I function. Mentally, I might seem the same to friends and family, maybe maybe I seem completely
different, I don't know. But for the most part, I don't really look different, but I definitely act and feel different on the inside and how I function in my life. So it's really affected my mental health, and the best of ways. I think my motto has become through human design and also through the other Studies I'm doing as well. It's like just stop thinking.
Stop thinking it does no good, no good anytime anytime I get into this pattern of like oh my God I'm like really thinking a lot about this and trying to figure out and instantly go to anything else. Anything else for me it's been Mantra but you could do just deep breathing or starting to read about human has anything you can do to stop. It's just the whole it's a deep dark hole. Yeah and I can go on forever just like this podcast episode if we don't stop talking right now.
