James Laughlin 00:40

I just want to say a massive heartfelt thank you. I mean, you. You who are listening right now, I want to put my hand in my heart and say thank you. I launched life on purpose the podcast a year ago, and 40 odd episodes later. It's been quite the journey of self-discovery, of learning, of helping others, of empowering others, of hearing stories from you guys that are being impacted by the people that I bring on the show. So, I just want to say thank you. It's been an incredible journey and wanted to give you a little update and some news as to where things are headed. So, over the last year, I've spent some time reflecting on the show, and reflecting on where it's headed. I'm so excited about where it's headed, but I feel it needs a little 1% change in direction, just a tiny little adjustment, gone in a slightly different direction. And when I look back over the year, you know who have had on the show. It's been an incredible collection of people. You know, we look at say something like Sir John Key, former Prime Minister of New Zealand. David Meltzer, incredible leader in the sports entertainment arena. Rachel Hunter, model, actress and leader in the spiritual world. Evan Carmichael, arguably one of the top leaders on the planet in terms of leadership conversations, and you know, multimillion followers on YouTube. Greg creed, former fortune 200 CEO with yum brands. Michelle sharp, CEO of UNICEF New Zealand. And the list goes on so many incredible leaders in different fields. And the one thread that kept coming up throughout the year was personal leadership, personal ownership, personal growth, leading others by leading yourself. And that's what I do day in day out. For those of you who don't know me incredibly well, it's your first time listening to the podcast. I'm an executive coach, high performance leadership coach, I work with CEOs, startups, athletes, stay at home parents, people who are committed to leading themselves before leading others. And so, with that, I've reflected on this for about three or four months and sought some feedback and input from some of you guys are on what you love the most about the show and leadership kept coming up. And that's what this world needs more of. You look at a country, you look at a company or organization, and the growth and the prosperity of that country or the organization. It's totally dependent on the leaders, psychology, the leader’s mindset, the leader’s growth. So, when we put a cap on the leader’s development, we also put a cap on the prosperity and growth of that organization. Now, that organization could be your family. It could be your place of work, it could be your regional team, could be the country that you're running. Depending on who you are, where you're at in life, you are a leader, and leadership skills are just so valuable in the world needs more often. So, I'm super excited to let you know that the new name for the podcast is actually going to be Lead on Purpose. So, pivoting slightly from life on purpose, to lead on purpose. And it's my mission to impact 1000s of leaders this year, and millions over the next decade or two. I want to help leaders on every country, every country on earth. I want to impact a leader or leaders in every single country to help them grow and to help them impact their people and help them grow more leaders. The world does not need lots more followers. We need leaders, we need independent thought, we need accountability. And I want to lead from the front with that. And the pivot to changing the podcast to lead on purpose. It's getting really specific around who I'm going to be bringing on the show what we're going to be talking about. So, I want you to be excited, hopefully as excited as I am about the year ahead, I've got some incredible and I mean incredible leaders lined up and fizzing just thinking about the opportunity to sit and chat with them. So, I want to ask you to do a few things. One, drop me a line, you can get me on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, just search up James Laughlin. Or you can send me an email, james@jjlaughlin.com, myself or one of my team members will respond to you as soon as possible. But I'd like to hear from your own, what you want to hear more of, I'd like to hear who you might want on the show. And dream big, you know, there's always a way and an opportunity for me to get people on the show that are making a big difference in their countries, in their communities in their companies. So, I'm here to listen to you, who would you love to hear me and review in the coming year. I just want to wish you an incredible year ahead and just remember, you're in control of what the input is. What I mean by that is what you consume, what you input, whether it's positive or negative, it gets outputted at some point, and that's through your actions and behaviors. So, the more positive input you can get in there, the more that's going to come out for the people around you for your professional life, your personal life. So, I hope that you continue to develop yourself, read the great books, listen to the great podcasts, and challenge your own thinking, take some time to reflect and journal and connect. You know, at any point, if you'd like to connect with me, please do. And there's the purpose club that I run every month. I do a live coaching session. If you'd like to find out more about that, just head over to my website, jjlaughlin.com./thepurposeclub, you’ll find out a little more. But for now, I just want to say thank you for your amazing support. If you haven't already, please do subscribe if you're listening to this on Apple podcasts and leave a rating and review. And next level, if you really want to lead an impact other around, you and influence them, please pick a show that you've enjoyed over the last year and share it with someone or some people that you admire, that you care about, that who you want to see, grow and develop. So, thank you so much looking forward to presenting lead on purpose for you, from our next show onwards, have the most amazing day ahead and get out there and lead your life on purpose.
