In this episode, we discuss the amygdala (aka Amy) and how it is affected by trauma. Joining me on the couch is Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Tiara Ramos.  Tiara is a licensed psychotherapist and practices at Collier Counseling, LLC in Atlanta, GA. Tiara walks us through the role of the amygdala and how necessary it is. We also discuss ways to self soothe when the amygdala is dysregulated.
