Once again Stephen King is in his detective bag for THE OUTSIDER, a truly bleak murder mystery that is head and shoulders above MR. MERCEDES and other similar offerings. Comparisons between the two are, in fact, hard to avoid, as both feature ace private investigator Holly Gibney (played by Cynthia Erivo here).
