I am ready to let you in and share about the inner workings of my sabbatical. How are prepared for it, how I paid for it. And also how my life has dramatically changed because of it. I've read home to my dog. I've gotten divorced and I am rediscovering and reconnecting with myself as I redesigned my business model. Moving forward. It feels good to be recording and I'm excited to bring a new season of the Jereshia said podcast to you.
I own titling this season homecoming and this season is all about reconnecting with your self-trust. Realigning your external efforts with your internal desires. And redefining what success looks like and really redefining what your definition of success is. Making intentional choices to propel your business forward with a life first focus. If you've been a listener or a client for any length of time of mine, you know, I always delivered massive value and amazing content.
But one thing I've failed to do consistently is show you my heart. And the truth is I couldn't show you my heart before, because I wasn't looking at it either. When you're living life from a place of survival. Regardless of what external success you've achieved. You don't realize how disconnected from your body and from your being, you truly are. At least I didn't. With it being the middle of the year. It's a perfect time to self examine and evaluate if you were on the right path forward.
And that's what I've been doing, especially during the season of the year. So in this season of the podcast and this homecoming season, we will be discussing how to do the following from a place of self-trust and true personal alignment. How do you know, re-establishing your owner's intent in reconfiguring your business model, and I'm going to be sharing with you how I'm personally doing that for myself as well. Best practices for business, money management and personal finances.
I think that's really important for us to discuss, especially as I am seven months into my existing sabbatical and just talking about how I was able to financially gift myself this opportunity to pause and be present and reconnect with myself. Cleansing your mental self-talk and new practices and processes I've been putting in place to make sure that. How I talk to myself as actually aiding and empowering me and get building my inner self confidence.
And also just talking about reviving relationships and more importantly, reconnecting with yourself. Plus. I wouldn't be Jereshia if I didn't also share practical lessons learned to help you. If you're in a season where you need to take a break from your business or possibly realign your offers to better support your current lifestyle. Whether you've had a challenging first half of the year, or, you're in need of some realignment.
This series will provide you with an actionable insights and inspiring stories from a recovering workaholic. To guide you on your journey. So before we dive into the business aspect of this series, And of this season, I need to start by grounding. Into my being. And I like to invite you into my grounding process with me. So here's what you can expect in the next couple of episodes.
And the first episode, I'll be sharing my affirmations that I've been using on a daily basis to ground me during this reset season, I read these out loud, verbally speak these affirmations every morning. That's either after I brushed my teeth while I'm still doing my morning routine, or I will listen to the recording of me verbalizing these affirmations and say them out loud on my morning walk. So these affirmations have been very powerful for my mental self-talk and for my inner confidence.
And I'm excited to share this part of the process with you. It's something new I've been doing this year that I have found. To be really self-serving and I'm excited to share that part of my journey with you. So you can expect that in the next episode. And it's definitely, again, one of those episodes where you'll be able to play back, you can do the exact same thing.
I'm doing, listen to them and say them out loud when you're doing your morning routine or on your morning walk or after a long day of work, whatever best serves you. And the episode after that is going to get pretty personal. I'll be diving into how I scheduled my sabbatical and how having a schedule sabbatical really supported me through a series of loss, grief, and divorce.
How I was able to regain clarity and deep in myself trust as I grew out of survival mode, how my business was the bridge to helping me return back home to myself and how returning home to myself opened up space for new love family planning and new business opportunities. So navigating these aspects of my personal life gave me the clarity for what was out of alignment and the healthy guard rails for how I am redesigning my business moving forward.
So I'm really excited to be sharing that with you. And I'll also be sharing bonus resources for specific episodes during this season to dig deeper with my email list. So if you'd like to receive those extra resources in your inbox, you can make sure to join my newsletter. There'll be a link in the show notes to do that, and also subscribe to apple iTunes, Spotify, or wherever you listen to, to get notification. when new episodes drop.
As you're listening, please leave a review and tell me what you think. I look forward to hearing from you and continuing the conversation. So I am excited to dive into this new season titled homecoming, and I will chat with you in the next episode.
