Irish Stories is a weekly podcast which consists of original stories set in Ireland. Each story is a serialized work of historical, literary fiction imbued with a touch of folklore. Each story will consist of several episodes. All stories are written by and performed by the author, M. Maureen O'Callaghan.
Irish Stories begins with "All Those Things Revealed", a story set in 19th century Ireland. It involves the little-known tradition of the Priest Woman.

Episode 24 of By Our Own Hands Aoife completes the tale of Oscar and Róisín. Dr. Foxlowe tells Aoife that he believes that she has broken the curse. He makes a surprising confession. The last of Aoife’s tales is her tale. The curse is broken by her own hands.
The episode continues with Mr. Adair's manipulative plot, which culminates in the murder of Mr. Grierson by Francis. It explores the emotional aftermath, including Francis's fate and Mother's profound guilt. Later, the narrative shifts to a new story, introducing Róisín and Oscar in 19th-century Ireland, where they face the harsh realities of famine, land sales, and a devastating threefold rent increase, prompting Oscar to seek work at a formidable castle.
Episode 22 of By Our Own Hands The evictions take place and the people of the estate are devastated. Mr. Grierson and the sheriff have an altercation. Mr. Adair begins to scheme once again.
Episode 21 of By Our Own Hands Aoife reminisces about Mr. Adair’s betrayal of his remaining tenants. Mrs. Adair orders Aoife to leave. Aoife starts to form a plan. The sheriff arrives and informs Mrs. O’Donnell that the tenants must leave.
Episode 20 of By Our Own Hands Aoife realizes that Mr. Adair is likely worse than she initially believed him to be. Aoife is given a dangerous task. She comes to a terrible conclusion. Doctor Foxlowe does too. Aoife reminisces about the first time Doctor Foxlowe spoke to her, when she was still in service at the castle. She realizes what role she must play.
Episode 18 of By Our Own Hands Mother tells the next of Aoife’s tales, which are now Sean’s tales too. This is the tale of Ruari, Niamh and a glen of outlaws: the Glen of Oisin.
Episode 17 of By Our Own Hands Aoife’s recalls how her mother learned that she was to be sent away to die. Dr. Foxlow gives Aoife a tour of Mrs. Adair’s gardens. Aoife continues her tale. Aoife gets a new companion. One of the Scots pays a terrible price.
Episode 15 of By Our Own Hands Aoife’s tale of Aodh and Ruairi is finished, but the curse is not yet broken. Dr. Foxlowe surprises Aoife. She is reminded of a painful memory. She continues her story.
Episode 14 of By Our Own Hands The carelessness of the McDermott sisters has terrible consequences. Aoife’s mother surprises them all. Aoife reconciles with her mother who begins a new tale.
Episode 13 of By Our Own Hands Dr. Foxlowe learns the definition of “clandestine compensation”. James Murray stirs up trouble and earns the enmity of his neighbors. Mr. Adair’s sheep begin to disappear.
Episode 12 of By Our Own Hands Dr. Foxlowe visits again. Aoife’s mother suffers a tragedy which Aoife must keep secret. But that does not stop her from shaming her mother. Aoife and Sean witness another secret, but Aoife accidentally tells Mr. Murray.
Episode 10 of By Our Own Hands History and tradition haunt Derryveagh. Fears are set aside and then realized. Aoife surprises Dr. Foxlowe when she tells him that she knows for certain that a tale passed down in his family is true. One of his family traditions and one of hers are entwined.
Episode 8 of By Our Own Hands Aoife clarifies for Dr. Foxlowe who is Irish and who is not. Aoife’s learns of her mother’s shame. Aoife and Sean share an unusual ritual.

Episode 4 of By Our Own Hands Young Aoife meets Mrs. Barry and learns that Mr. Adair is already struggling with his new tenants. She learns just how much is as stake. The ghosts of the past haunt Aoife.
Episode 3 of By Our Own Hands. Dr. Foxlowe visits Aoife. He questions her about her family history. She tells him about her family’s curse and how they became the exiled ones. She recalls her arrival at Derryveagh. Aoife and her mother arrive shortly after her father’s death. They settle into the Glebe House.

Episode 14 of All Those Things Revealed. Constanza turns to Mr. Massey for help. He asks Geoffrey, Bronagh and Constanza to travel to Ennis to inform Father Brady that Una has been driven out of the village. Adam reaches Ennis before them and brings terrible news. Senán behaves strangely in Ennis. Constanza learns that she is to marry.
Episode 13 of All Those Things Revealed. It becomes clear that Eamon is ill. A child dies of fever. Father McMahon turns the terrified villagers against Una.
Episode 12 of All Those Things Revealed. The union of Father Brady and Una is celebrated with joy by the entire village until an unwelcome guest arrives and condemns the union and celebrations. The workers for the Public Works' scheme begin to arrive. Geoffrey offers to take in one of the destitute workers, Eamon.
Episode 11 of All Those Things Revealed. Constanza defies Geoffrey and Bronagh again. She is surprised by Senán. Constanza and Senán witness a forbidden ceremony. Bronagh and Constanza receive an invitation that proves to be quite upsetting to Bronagh.
