Episode description

This week I celebrate my birthday. It's a big one. I turn 40!

In honor of my big day and yours, I'm sharing a replay of my conversation with Tamar Hurwitz-Fleming (originally episode 112).

I recently finished her book How to Have a Happy Birthday, and loved that the end was a workbook with journal prompts to help me figure out how I want to celebrate.

In this conversation with Author and birthday aficionado Tamar, we're talking about celebrating your birthday and the spiritual power, magic, and opportunity to receive positive energy.  The Universe is ready to shower you with all the magic you can take, how big is your container to receive? We talk about the birthday spectrum and what you can do to celebrate. I loved this conversation and have no doubt you will too! And if it's your birthday when you're listening to this episode. Happiest birthday wishes to you!

Tamar Hurwitz-Fleming is an award-winning author and birthday aficionado who is dedicated to helping people harness the transformational power of their birthdays so they can experience more joy, meaning, and fulfillment in their lives. Growing up, Tamar had a string of happy, sad and terrible birthdays until she realized that having a fulfilling birthday was entirely up to her. In her new book, “How to Have a Happy Birthday,” Tamar explores why birthdays matter, why they can be hard for many of us, and what we can do to fully put ourselves in the center of our day. Tamar believes our birthdays are our most spiritually powerful day of our year.
