[00:00:00] Hello. And welcome back to inside the click, your creator economy podcast. Michelle here with five on Friday, breaking down the latest news in the influencer industry in five minutes. Let's do it.

Up first rodeo launched their beta app this past week and we got access. This company is changing up how creators monetize their content. Rather than paying like traditional affiliate links, you're paid off of app users, engaging with your content. Brands sponsor, a creator fund and that is split according to your engagement on the platform in a specified timeframe. We love this. This platform has big potential to shake up the industry, check them out on Instagram @shoprodeo and get in line to test their beta app yourself.

Next, the New York times just published an article this week on the magnitude of the creator economy. It's nothing totally revolutionary. You're listening to this podcast because you [00:01:00] know, the growth the industry has undergone and is going to keep experiencing in the years to come. This article breaks down a major shift in the influencer world. Highlighting the growing divide between two influencers styles. One, the polished brand influencers and to the relatable mom and pop creators. It stresses the importance of embracing technology, Especially AI tools as the secret sauce for standing out and thriving in this competitive space.

The key takeaway here is that it's not just about follower counts anymore. It's about understanding your audience, adapting to their preferences and leveraging tech to make a genuine impact. For influencers. This means recognizing the power of these tools in shaping their success and future growth. It's a wake-up call to hop on the tech bandwagon to truly make a mark and stay ahead in the constantly evolving creator economy.

Button a technology that some platforms you [00:02:00] already use are leveraging behind the scenes to boost affiliate conversion. Is set to pass $10 billion in mobile commerce driven in 2023. Not only does this show the power of affiliate linking in buttons, presence in this industry. Keep this in mind when you are leveraging different platforms, as there's always more than meets the eye in making sure that you're getting the most money for your links.

Finally. things.i.bought.and.liked. A creator who, despite her growth has maintained her anonymity has launched her yearly effort to raise money for teachers, Amazon wishlists. She's managed to engage a lot of key platforms and people notably Howell donated $10,000 in little Dicky, just donated $15,000. She has put a few brands and people on blast. But it's work to increase donations and call out performant as opposed to actually impactful [00:03:00] donations. You can still donate, go to things I bought in light on Instagram and we'll link her profile in the show notes.

That's it for this week. Look out for our next episode, which drops on Tuesday.

Have a good weekend, everyone.
