So there's this guy, Marty who has been fly fishing 3 times a year for 50 years. He took me with him this year. We went to the Rainbow River in Utah, and within about 5 or 6 minutes of casting, Marty gets a hit on the line, and he's fighting this fish for like 22 minutes. At the 20 third minute, the fish jumps up into the air, wiggle around and it comes off the hook, and I go oh my gosh. I can't believe you miss that fish and then catch shit. And Marty looks
at me like I'm crazy. He's like, that's what happens when you fish. Fish come off all the time. And I watch this play out over and over and over again. He only landed, I'd say about 30 or 40 percent of the fish. He was so detached from the outcome. There's power, there's confidence in that, especially when you cold call, if you're detached and you lean back, and you don't care too much about what happens to the fish. And a prospect says, how did you get
my number. You can simply drop back ring back and say this. We have a product called Zoom info. It has contact information. I have a direct line and a cell line for you. Seems like it's inappropriate for me to have called you on this line. And then you let the fish do what it does without worrying about what's gonna happen or if you're gonna land it. And then you simply drop back and you keep casting. I think I'm doing that right. Maybe there's too much risk. You get the idea.
