In the first episode of The Road Running vs. Trail Running mini series we discuss the main pacing and terrain differences in road and trail running.
Do you consider yourself a road runner? How about a trail runner? Or, maybe (hopefully) you enjoy the fruits of both worlds? Whatever the case may be, in this mini series we dive into the differences, similarities and even benefits of hitting the streets for a run, as well as hitting the trails for your morning jog.
We dive into topics such as pacing, how many calories you burn per mile in each discipline, how the footing and stride rates differ, and how the scenery can impact your running experience. There are many great benefits to be gained from running the streets and running the trails, and our goal is to discuss them and list them all out.
