49. How to get paid in advance for your work

Do you have a hard time getting paid in advance?

If not, it could be due to one of a few reasons:

1. You don't have enough leverage (i.e. unique specialization)

2. You don't set expectations in advance

3. You don't follow up for missed payments in a way that fixes the systemic issue
