And right now you might be asking yourself, what the heck do I write in my bio? How do I get matches? What do I say? What's the right bio? How do I write prompts? What are the kinds of things to write that are going to get matches? Well, in this episode, I'm going to help you write a magnetic dating profile.

using just three simple steps. Just three. And this advice will work on any dating platform, Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, what have you. So no matter what app or profile or platform you're on, this episode is going to be able to help you. Okay? And here's what you're going to get. I'm going to give you three things in less than 30 minutes. I made a New Year's resolution to do shorter, leaner, meaner episodes. So in under 30 minutes, you're going to get these three things.

You're going to get seven secrets to writing a kick-ass online dating profile bio. Then I'm going to give you a step-by-step guide to crafting a three-line bio that's going to help you get better matches and results. And as a bonus at the very end of this episode, before the 30-minute mark, I'm going to give you my 10 funniest hinge Bumble Tinder prompts. Basically 10 of my funniest prompts that gets women giggling, laughing, and swiping right.

So I'm really psyched about this episode. You're going to get tons of great stuff packed in under 30 minutes. And let me remind you that, yes, online dating really does work. It actually does work. even if it hasn't worked for you yet. I met my beautiful, wonderful girlfriend, Jess, the love of my life, my schmoopy, my sweetheart, my best friend. I met her on a dating app.

Which one you want to go to, Shmoopy? You call me Shmoopy. You're Shmoopy. You're Shmoopy. All right, Shmoopies. So yes, online dating works as long as you have a profile that is dialed in on what works. And today we're going to talk about the bio and the prompts. So let's do it. Let me help you get some good matches. Let's start with the seven secrets to writing a great...

Dating profile bio. Secret number one, showcase your authentic personality. Dating success on the apps is about authenticity. It's about showcasing your best, truest, most attractive self to women and letting your type of woman see the real you. Your authentic self is your most attractive self. We want to make sure that your personality, your authentic personality, is coming out on your profile. We want to make sure that your sense of humor, your mind, your likes, dislikes, the real you...

We want that light shining through. And I'll show you how to do that before we're done here today. But here's a warning. I want you to ignore advice from so-called experts, mostly men, who push this. alpha male strategy for dating. Or in terms of online dating, beware guys who give you copy and paste one size fits all.

bios or prompts. I'm going to give you lots of ideas today. I'm going to give you tons of ideas for writing your profile, but I'm going to want you to write a genuine specific authentic profile to you. So don't forget that. women are attracted to the real authentic you. And if you put on a fake alpha male toxic persona, that probably won't even work to get you matches. But if it did, a woman's going to meet you and

find out that that's not who you are. And then you're screwed. Or rather, you're not screwed. And nor do you want to just have generic copy and paste, one size fits all. prompts and bios like some of these lame guys give in their programs so anyway ignore that ignore them they don't know jack shit listen to me i know what i'm talking about okay secret number two to get you a great

online dating profile bio that's going to get you matches and dates. Secret number two is use humor. Use humor. Humor is your secret weapon. If you can make a woman laugh, that's more attractive to her than having six-pack abs. Because when you showcase your authentic sense of humor, she's going to imagine laughing, having fun with you on that date.

That's going to remove one of the biggest obstacles to getting matches and dates, which is this. Women are tired of boring dates, boring conversations, and awkward dates. They're so tired of that. So using humor removes the obstacle or helps you to remove the obstacle.

that keeps a woman from swiping right because she's going to say, well, yeah, okay, he's got nice photos. I like his look, but man, his bio is so boring. I don't want another boring date. I don't want any more awkward moments on dates. That's what keeps so many women from swiping right. So using humor is going to help you. And I'm going to help you do that today. And stick around again, because at the end, I'm going to share my 10 funniest dating app lines. Okay.

Secret number three for an online dating bio is to keep things positive. Good vibes only. Avoid negativity and don't list a bunch of don'ts. Don't make your profile a laundry list of what you don't want in a partner. Don't be negative. Don't have baggage. Don't this. Don't that. Instead, focus on positivity. Focus on what excites you.

and inspires you. I doubt that this is your biggest problem if you're listening to my pod. You're probably not a negative guy, but I've seen more than a few online dating profiles that are just like, here's what I don't want to deal with. And that's an instant swipe left. So keep things positive. Secret number four is to keep your bio brief and visually appealing. I recommend a three-line bio.

that has spaces between each line. Okay? A three-line bio. And I'm going to take you through what this might look like. step by step. But for example, here's an example of my online dating bio that I've used in the past that worked really well. I've used this on both Bumble and Tinder. Line number one, I'm a romantic. I like long walks to the fridge. Line number two, I'm a dating coach for men, like Hitch. But don't worry, I would never slap Chris Rock. And line number three, I'm dog shopping.

Should I get a Frenchie or a rescue? That's very short. That's under 50 words. It's about 40 words. Now, that's a very... easy to read. I know this is a podcast, so you're listening, not watching this, but visualize how easy that is to read. Three lines, and there's also space between each line, so it's very easy to breathe. for those lines to breathe. And a woman's going to read every single word on my profile. She may or may not resonate with me, but she's going to read every word.

If you have a much longer profile and you have tons and tons of 100 words all clumped together in one giant block, then she's not going to read any of it. So again, keep your bio brief and visually appealing using the three-step, three-bullet pointed bio. which I'm going to help you write as we proceed today. Okay, secret number five is speak emotionally, not logically on your bio. Your bio shouldn't read like a logical informational resume.

We want passion, we want humor, and we want some playful flirtatiousness. Secret number six is to be flirtatious. It's okay to flirt on your bio. It's actually more than okay. It's... basically essential. Just make sure you keep the flirtatiousness PG rated. So for example, here's an example of a flirtatious line that I like. Quote, my ideal date? We sweat our butts off on the dance floor, dot, dot, dot, and sweat a bit more back at my place. Winky face.

That flirtatiousness shows confidence and it helps keep you out of the, let's call it the online dating friend zone. If you don't have any flirtatiousness anywhere on your profile. you run the risk of essentially getting digitally friend-zoned. That ain't no fun. And secret number seven is to include a call to action on your bio.

What do I mean by a call to action? Well, that's a marketing term. Your dating profile is really just a piece of digital marketing. That's all it is. So in any piece of digital marketing... A digital marketer will tell you what they want you to do. Like and subscribe. Call now. Call 800. Operators are standing by. This is all email. Email to get your free book.

Something I've said here. That's what marketers do. So you want to have a call to action because people are trained to do what they're told. It's not that they need to do what they're told, it's that they might not know what they should do. And so you want to make it easy for that woman to do something. For example, a call to action could be a fun question. Like, would you rather bathe in soda pop or champagne?

That's a fun, playful call to action. It invites her to respond. Or your call to action could be a directive. Swipe right if you like charming, handsome men. Hint, hint. So use a call to action. Okay, those are the seven secrets. You struggle with dating, right? Sure, you have a good job and cool friends, but you just aren't sure how to flirt. The apps don't work for you.

And sometimes women put you in the friend zone. It's frustrating. Hey, I struggled with dating too. As an introvert and a total nerd, I didn't just live in the friend zone. I owned real estate there. But I escaped. using the dating philosophy of radical authenticity, which I've used to help thousands of men in 17 countries find love. It's what I wrote about in my best-selling book, Dating Sucks But You Don't.

And radical authenticity is why Psychology Today called me the best dating coach in America. And now I want to personally help you attract your dream girlfriend. So go to datingtransformation.com and book a free call with me. On our call, I'll tell you how my one-on-one coaching will help you find your dream girlfriend, and you'll be doing it by flirting with confidence and authenticity. No creepy pickup tricks needed.

So go to datingtransformation.com, book a free call today, and let my personalized coaching help you get a great girlfriend. Here's a super quick list of what not to include in your bio. Here's what not to put on your online dating bio. Number one, negativity. Don't list a bunch of don'ts. Don't list what you don't want. Number two, cliches. I want you to avoid cliches like the plague. Get it? Avoid overused phrases. Like, I'm bad at bios. Ugh, I hate that. Avoid quoting the office.

Okay, great. You love The Office. I love The Office. Everybody loves The Office. Would I rather be feared or loved? Easy, both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me. we can stop writing that on our profiles. It's not going to help you. And another thing not to include in your bio is nothing. Blank spaces. In other words, Make sure you write something in your bio. Don't leave it blank. Don't leave it blank. Always include a bio of some kind. And what kind? Well...

I recommend basically a three-bullet-pointed bio. I recommend a three-line bio. It's a format that gives enough information. about you to a woman to attract her, but also keeping it concise. Because women don't want to spend a lot of time reading a long bio, but they want to read something. So here's how to write your bio in three simple steps. Okay, here's what line number one should be. Line number one should be a humorous hook. A hook, a humorous hook. The first sentence.

is the most important part of your bio. It hooks her interest. By the way, when I say bio, I'm talking about Bumble and Tinder primarily. Those two platforms give you that field to write. to write a bio. Hinge doesn't do that. I'm going to tell you exactly how to use Hinge later. But for now, when I say bio, I'm talking about that core bio, such as on Bumble and Tinder.

So the first sentence is the most important part of your bio. What it does is it hooks her interest and makes her want to keep reading. That's the goal. And the best way to do this is with humor. Because as I said earlier... getting her to laugh is better than having an eight pack. Not that I have a six pack or an eight pack. Me, I have a 40 ouncer.

So if you can make a woman laugh and you have those reasonably good photos, you're going to get some matches. You're going to get some dates. So here's some examples of what I mean by a hook, a humorous hook. Ideally, a humorous hook has an authentic, specific about you, but with some humor blended in to make it sweet, to make it taste good.

So here are some examples. I'm a romantic. I like long walks to the fridge. Okay? Here's another one that I came up with. These are mostly ones I've come up with or heard and tweaked. Another good hook is, I'm a gentleman on the street with a dad bod in the sheets. Here's a few more. This is a good, oh, here's one that really helped one of my shorter clients. Would I lack in height?

I make up for with a 790 credit rating. I love that one because my client who used that was acknowledging, hey, I'm not tall, but because he's cracking a joke about it, he's using humor, that's really attractive. Another client I had who's not tall, he's about 5'6", this was his hook. He wrote, I'm not tall, but I promise I'll protect you by punching a mugger right in the shin.

It's a little bit wordy, but it got him matches and women liked it. Here's another one. Warning, dating me has been known to cause laughing and swooning. Consult your doctor before matching with a little doctor emoji. Here's another one. I'm kind of a bad boy. I jaywalk anytime I want. Here's one more. I want somebody who looks at me the way Kanye looks at his reflection.

Okay, so those are all examples of opening line humorous hooks. Let's move to line number two. Line number two shares an interesting, specific detail about you. So line number one, we hook her with some humor. Line number two, we share something more specific and detailed about you. So let me just ask you a question right now. What's interesting and unique about you?

What's something that you want women to know about you? It doesn't have to be life-changing. It can be small, but we want it to be specific. So for example, here are some examples from either myself or my clients. My cinnamon French toast sticks will make your mouth water. Fun fact, I'm red-green colorblind. Please tell me what Christmas looks like.

That's mine, because I'm a colorblind man. That worked well for me at Christmas. Here's another line for the second line. I've been to 21 countries. Last stop, Machu Picchu. Next stop... Melbourne. That's a great line, by the way. I just realized Machu Picchu isn't a country, but fine, close enough. So the second line should give a woman some information about you.

One of my best ever second lines, that line number two, is just me writing a simple statement of fact that's interesting, though, which is that I'm a dating coach for men. So I had a lot of success with, I'm a dating coach for men. I basically am the real life hitch. So if you have an unusual job, if you have something about, if you have a hobby, a job, a passion, a pastime that is unique to you.

and is different than what most women are used to hearing, that could be a really good line number two, if it's interesting and specific about you. One of my clients had a lot of success. He's a coffee connoisseur. like hardcore coffee connoisseur. He's tasted like 120 different kinds of coffee beans. He's been to seven or eight countries where coffee is produced. So he used that detail.

because it's very authentic and specific to him and it just jumps off of a woman's phone because she's not used to reading something so specific so line number two share an interesting specific detail about yourself And line number three is add a call to action. Ask a question or invite her to engage with you in some way, shape, or form. Here's some of my favorite calls to action.

Eat a potato or be a potato? That worked really well for one of my clients. That's a really good one. Here's another good one. Thin crust or deep dish pizza? Pressure's on. There is a right answer. And here's one that has gotten me so many responses from women, like probably over 100, this next call to action. And you can use this if you want to. This is a copy and paste version if you want to, as long as it's relatively genuine.

I wrote, I'm puppy shopping. Should I get a Frenchie or a rescue? Women have strong opinions about what kind of dog a person should get. And that got me so many, so many responses. write me back and write me and say, oh my god, you should get a Frenchie. They're so cute. I would say about two-thirds of the women say, rescue a dog, Connell. Rescue a dog. It feels so good.

So this call to action about what kind of dog to get, Frenchie or rescue, it just really hits women emotionally. And that's what we want to do. We want to make a positive emotional impact. So that's your three-line structure. Okay, super quick recap. Line number one is you want to use that humorous hook. Line number two, share an interesting specific detail about yourself. And line number three, add a call to action.

Get her responding to you. The call to action works because, look, women are like you. Women get stuck in their head. They're not sure what to write. They're not sure what to message, especially on Bumble. where women tend to make the first move. So that call to action makes it easier for them to do that. So that's your three-line structure. And at the end, your profile is going to look something like this. Again, just like I mentioned earlier.

Line number one, here's one of my previous recent profiles. Line number one, I'm a romantic. I love long walks to the fridge. Line number two, I'm a dating coach for men, like Hitch. But no slapping, Chris Rock. And line number three, I'm puppy shopping. Should I get a rescue or a Frenchie? So in less than 40 words, that's less than 40 words what I just read to you.

i have made her laugh i have shown my authentic self and i've made it really easy for a woman to reply and this along with really good photos is why i get an insane number of matches as my clients do. I'm not bragging. I'm just saying I've been doing this for almost 20 years. Actually, 20 years now I've been working on online dating, so I've got it down to a science. Now, you might be asking, all right, that's good for Bumble and Tinder. What about Hinge?

What do I do on Hinge? Well, for Hinge, you can use the same three-line system that I just came up with or I just shared with you. But all you do is simply pour those three lines into your prompts. You pour the... the three lines you use, and make these the three hinge prompts. It's great to have three. You want your three hinge prompts to have a nice variety to them.

So absolutely. One of them should be, can and should be a humorous prompt. Another one can and should be something specific about you that you want women to know. In other words, line number two. A great choice for a prompt is a call to action, especially on Hinge. Because as you know, if you use Hinge, on Hinge, a woman can directly respond to your prompt. She can respond to your question about thin crust or deep dish pizza. She can respond to your question.

Would you rather eat a potato or be a potato? And that's what I love about Hinge. Hinge is great because every single part of Hinge, every photo, every prompt, every little bit of it is an opportunity for a woman to heart. and hopefully respond to something that you've written so all you got to do is take these three lines that we've created and make these your three hinge prompts and then you're in a really

Good place. Don't fast forward. This is not an ad. It's a free thing that's going to help you flirt with confidence because I'll bet that you struggle with what to say to women. and how to flirt, right? Well, let's fix that. Flirty 30. You're about to start confidently flirting with women, going on dates, and soon getting a great girlfriend. Go get your Flirty 30. Okay, let's finish with the bonus that I teased earlier. Here are 10 of my funniest dating, let's call these one-liners, because these could be hinge prompts. These could be Bumble prompts, these could be Tinder prompts, or you could use any of these for your opening humorous hook.

So, and again, I'll restate it. After the photos, the opening line of your bio is the most important part of your online dating profile. on almost any dating app. Here we go. In no particular order, here are 10 of my favorite funny dating prompts slash one-liners. Number one, I'm an amazing kisser. At least that's what my cousin tells me. Number two, I can cook any dish that you want, dot, dot, dot, as long as that dish is peanut butter on toast. Number three.

The divorce rate among my socks is astonishing. Number four, I love cooking with wine. I even add food to it sometimes. Number five. First date vibes. A long, romantic dinner with just you and my parents. Number six. Shirtless. I look just like Hemsworth. Phil Hemsworth, my neighbor. Number seven. I'm basically real-life clickbait. Great looks, terrible personality.

Number eight, this is good for Hinge because Hinge has a little prompt that tees up what you're going to write. It says, typical Sunday. So on Hinge, for the one that says typical Sunday, then you simply write recovering from my typical Saturday. Number nine, this next one, number nine has gotten me so many matches. Women love it.

I'm training for a marathon, a Netflix marathon. Just a dumb dad joke, but women really like it. And number 10, our dream date? I take you to the finest Burger King in town. I know the maitre d'. Okay, those are 10 really good lines that have gotten me or my clients matches, responses, conversations going, and dates. So again, follow these steps.

And you're going to have a bio that's funny, that has some humor, but also has authenticity. It's the real you, and it's going to get you results. So I'll leave you with this thought.
