這個故事幾個地方值得我們反省的：不要老是在憂愁煩惱自己身體哪裡病痛，這種外在的刀箭病痛之苦，其實比不上貪求愚癡無明之苦。而唯有內在的貪欲憂惱與愚癡無 明之毒能夠拔除，內在的三毒能夠去除，那外在的毒、刀箭之苦也才能夠解決，才能夠痊癒。
