Hell money is a form of joss paper, made to resemble modern fiat currencies, transmitted to the underworld via incineration and intended to ease the lives of departed ancestors. However, given their increasing denomination and huge popularity, the burning of hell money in the overworld may be leading to runaway hyperinflation in the underworld.
