What does it really mean to be ‘on the spectrum’?

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is often labelled as a disease that affects men more than women. But film director, screenwriter and actor Kathleen Lee is proof it affects women too - but that diagnosis can be harder, or take longer.
