Up For Debate: The Dangers of Dr. Google
Jun 05, 2019•27 min
Episode description
Everyone wants to be more informed before they visit their physician, but are there downsides to relying on internet search engines to tell us what we are feeling and why? Searching out our symptoms may put us at ease but it can also create anxiety, usually unjustified without consulting our doctor first. To get the medical professional's point of view, we ask our panel of Dr. Adrian Pristas, Corporate Medical Director of the Hackensack Meridian Health Centers for Sleep Medicine and Dr. Jason J. Sayanlar, cardiologist board certified in cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology and internal medicine to discuss the pro's and con's of patients relying on Dr. Google.
