Episode description

NewYork-Presbyterian is home to an innovative maternal mental health program that enlists the work of a multidisciplinary care team centered around doula care to support birthing people in the postpartum period. By employing this community-centered approach, NYP works to make maternal mental healthcare more accessible, closing the gap in the number of people able to access treatment for postpartum depression. In this episode, Davina Prabhu, vice president of the Ambulatory Care Network at NYP, discusses the NYP Postpartum Doula Program.
