David

Hello, welcome to Fun Fact Friday,

Leila

weekly podcast where we talk about stuff.

David

Different stuff. Maybe? Well, mostly, no, sometimes we'll go back over another topic. Because it's fun, but that's rare. But we have a very special guest tonight. And we'll be talking about that as soon as the music is over.

Leila

Oh, well, well. Nice.

David

Tonight we are joined by light bright.

LiteBrite

Hello, hello. Hello.

David

Who are you in? What do you do besides make amazing lit up art.

LiteBrite

make amazing lit up art. So by day, I guess or by partial night. I am a theater technician specializing in lighting I teach at a high school, very much the same thing that blueberry does if SPOILER ALERT blueberry and I are engaged in the domestic partnership. We have studios right next to each other. So that's what I do by day and I also grow a ton of plants. I have a lot of houseplants.

David

And that's what we're going to be talking about. That's why we're here talking about plants.

Leila

Because I like plants and aroma him. Yes.

David

And Leila has all sorts of questions for you. Sure. Before we get into that, what is your show's name?

LiteBrite

All right. So I just started a podcast about two, three months ago, me and two of my friends. We started a podcast called rough around the hedges.

David

rough around the hedges. So it's like it's like a pun. It is totally, it's a plant pun. All right. Before we get going, we're gonna do our value for value segment. But I am also going to make some really squeaky noises with my chair because I gotta get into a better position. Okay. All right, here we go.

Leila

Now. What have y'all sent us?

David

Yes, this is a value for value podcast. We have received some value this week. And we're gonna go over that value. And thank you all for it. So with Satoshis sent through boosts through a modern podcast app, you can get it podcast apps.com. We have received quite a few boosts, and most of them are from Dred Scott. So we're just gonna go through all of those Dred Scott boosts real quick. And Dred Scott CNN 123456 sets now that's not six sets. That's 123,005. No. One 101 123,000 No,

it's 120,460 and 56. Why is my brain not able to read that number? It's 123456 12,456.

Leila

No,

David

look, where that six digits. Oh,

Leila

I didn't see the three. Oops, he's

David

not he said 12456. I

Leila

don't have my glasses on the house.

David

And it says, My six year old wants to know if you've ever done an episode about streets, common street names, types of streets, material streets are made of etc. We have not, but hey, it's on the list. Yeah, we've got a lot of guests coming up. And we got a few episodes in between guests. So we'll we'll we'll we'll put that on the list. We're always looking for

show ideas. So thank you so much for that there's some funny street names let me tell you I've seen some funny ones and I got stories so we also got 10,000 SATs from Dred Scott says is the rat that Leila was crocheting crocheting finished yet, Pics or it didn't happen? Well, we have pics. And drab, you will get to see them first with since you do our chapters, they will be on the server. And there will be named rat and rat

two or something along those lines. And the problem was, is that she gave away the rat gave away the

Leila

rats. I don't decent pictures of it. But they're like in the car.

David

Yeah, it was like she finished it. And then we went and she gave it away like, go faster. So we do have a couple of pictures that will be on the server and I'm sure drug will be putting them in the chapters.

Leila

That was a killer. I wish I would have made myself one. I couldn't make myself when

David

you could. It only took you like an hour. We also received 555 No 5555 cents from drums. God, how is Leila's website coming along for the stuff she's gonna make? It is up. It doesn't have a lot on it right now. Because we're we're just getting rolling with it.

Leila

Oh, yeah. Sorry.

David

I just went out. Yeah, we're talking about the entire circus. Don't say yeah, it's the end. Are circus.com I didn't believe that that would be available. But there was currently it's just right now it's a simple WordPress site you can order she has one completed wig that's been styled. And then she has a listing for her wig styling services. We are going to be putting more things up there. We got some ideas for the 3d printer. We got some other ideas but mostly going to be

cosplay stuff. But then some other if if it gets rolling, we'll start putting our merch on there and selling our merch from there instead of Threadless. But that's down the road. And then 1000 from Kyle Nope. 1000 from drab saying, boost Kyle boost, Kyle. Yeah, yeah. Okay, so here's what happened. We boosted Kyle's volume. And one episode we did it correctly. And then I wasn't really import export issue with the road caster, and

it was my fault. And I'm gonna have to go reboost the audio again, and then put it back in so it'll get done tonight. Tonight. Totally. So and then another 54,321 sets from Dred Scott. Now this episode had a good level for Kyle. Yes, he that was the good one. That was right when we got back from the cruise. Yeah. He's talking about how it matches the intro better. So. Oh, look at that. We just got a live boost. We'll have to manually send light bright some of those sets and it's from a

one. It's from blueberry. The entire Circus is a great name for a site. Well done. Thank you may perhaps a BTC pay server is an order maybe? Maybe I haven't looked into that. But yeah, we'll keep that in mind. Let folks pay with Bitcoin. Because why not? It's money. Thank you for the live boosts blueberries 17,776. That's kind of his standard blueberry. Satoshi boost. We appreciate that. And then we got 3333 sets from Baroness love and light. Baroness, Love and Light says, I

sign up to be an F. F. F. F A Fun Fact Friday fan. And pledge that thunder and lightning aren't the same

Leila

thing. Heck, yeah. Thank

David

you. And that's it for our boosts. We did get an email from Team Omaha. And I'm trying to, I don't think I have no, I don't have that email address on this computer. I will pull it up on my phone.

Leila

So if you didn't hear last episode, I had a whole rant about how lightning and thunder weren't the same thing. And said that if you were going to be a Fun Fact, Friday fan, you have to say that lightning and thunder are not the same thing. That goes for everyone listening to the show. Thank you.

David

Okay, so yeah, we got an email was talking about that the the the rant was correct. The thunder and lightning are not the same thing. Sounds Yes. Thank you. Just I agree with Leila email. So

Leila

email from every single one email. Yeah,

David

mail at FunFactFriday.com. All right. So yeah, if you want to send us any value of you get anything out of the show. You can send us art, music, tips, you can tell us something's wrong with the show. Like I need to fix Kyle's audio. Whatever you want to do, you know, just shoot over to us at mail at FunFactFriday.com. Hit us up on X or Twitter. Whatever is called Fun Fact Friday, one of our username over there. And we've actually been getting lots of we got lots of guests lined

up. And I'll tell you about those at the end of the show. But we're gonna get back to light bright because she's just sitting there waiting on us to quit yapping. Yep.

LiteBrite

Patient patient just need to Oh, gosh.

David

Leila is very patient for a 13 year old. But Leila, What questions did you have for light bright?

Leila

What would be a good, like plant to start off with that so

LiteBrite

for us visit quickly. So I mean, we talked a little bit before the show started that you'd seem to be an underwater where you kind of forget about your plant. Right? Yeah. So succulents are always a good plants to start with. They are drought adaptive, as we say. So you know, your cactus is your you know, stuff that's used to live in in dry, arid climates

that don't get a lot of water. The flip side to that though, is that when you do water them, you want to make sure you're not just like taking a little bit of like taking a tiny little sip of water and like dunking it on there. You want to submerge them in water, almost like they want a lot of water infrequently versus lips, little bits of water, frequent Like other plants, okay, so like was starting out and people are

saying, Yeah, I want something easy. That's always a good one that you know, succulents, the, the hardest part about them is probably making sure they are getting enough light. And I can go on about like, you know, for an hour and a half, two hours, but depending on you know, your window situation, if you have something that's either facing west or south, then you're good to go for succulents. But another fantastic starter plant is called ZZ plant. And they're also they don't eat a whole lot

of water. They have what's called rhizomes which are like little potato looking things inside the soil and that's where they hold all their water so they're also used to not be watered very often and they can also handle a little bit less light as well. So if you have like an east window, those are cool. That's great for them. They're really cool looking plant and they come in different forms like I have what's called

a raven ZZ so it has all black leaves. So if you have like a little golf cart like I do I lose anything that's black. Yeah, they're cool plant.

Leila

I want one of those. Those are cool.

David

Yes, she's recurrently redoing her entire room. Yeah, last few days. She has ripped everything off the walls.

Leila

It took me three days to finally rip everything off my walls. I had a maximalist room and I'm still gonna go with that I'm just going for different aesthetic of maximalist.

David

Oh, no. Oh, Zoom says our meeting will end in 10 minutes.

LiteBrite

What? Oh, no.

Leila

When did this happen?

David

All right. So those listening live our meeting will end in 10 minutes. But those listening to the recorded we will continue after we get a separate Zoom meeting up.

Leila

Yeah, apparently. This didn't win. Okay.

David

I don't know. We'll continue this never happened so that you said this was

Leila

easy. Yeah, it's as easy plan

LiteBrite

as easy plan.

Leila

I looked it up. Interesting. So neat.

LiteBrite

Yeah, off the top my brain I can't remember where the Latin it's very long. But we just called ZTE for short. Cool. Yeah, those guys.

Leila

That name is very long.

LiteBrite

Like a month, a month and a half, two months even twin watering like you can go on just forget about it. That's awesome.

David

We it sounds like our kind of plan.

Leila

Yeah, we have a plant in our kitchen. It I don't know what its name is. But it has like reddish leaves with green on the outside. And

LiteBrite

they're really pointy.

Leila

I you know,

David

not super pointy. They're kind of bold this with a little bit of a point.

Leila

But we have one of those little like watering bulbs, I guess. has water in it. And we water like a little bit over the bulb in it. It works. Right? It's right by the window.

David

It seems to work. Okay, it seems it's alive. It's not growing a lot, but it kind of stays about the same size. I paid you to do it. And I don't know enough about plants to say whether it's supposed to grow any bigger than it is. Right. So yeah, I I'm not I think my my problem is is either a I don't

follow the instructions on how to get the plant started. So I bought some some vegetable plants I bought some tomato and some red bell pepper and some cayenne pepper plants this year, and I decided to just go ahead and get like one of the ones it's already growing. You know, it's already right.

LiteBrite

It's already started for you

David

right it's already gotten gotten gotten rolling. I was like I can't screw this up right so we're gonna water it give it a little bit of plant food. And apparently I screwed it up like I paid attention to the bat I don't know about and I don't know if it's neglect like I just forget about it. But I tried really hard this time

Leila

I'm good at mushrooms, which those will grow and pretty much anything

David

Yeah, we get those right with the yard but um

LiteBrite

yeah, we have kind of a bit of a saying that you know, if you bring in a plan and it doesn't do well, like it dies on you, it just means it wasn't able to handle your conditions and that's fine. I mean, I can't even imagine like I've completely lost count how many plants I've killed in the four years that I've been doing this so it's take some time to get used to it

David

my like my mom has a green thumb she anything oh my gosh, nothing dies

Leila

she buys dead plants and revives yeah

David

she'll find like a leaf and then I'll go over a couple weeks later and she's got like a full Bush full Bush made out of that little one leaf she's just one of those people

Leila

and she's like I just stuck in some dirt and put some water on it and I'm like how would you do that?

David

And I do no I do all the all the stuff that she says and down I was still like she's like okay, and I'll put this plant is only supposed to get this many hours of sun a day and I'm supposed to face this way you're supposed to come like seven butterflies and put it on the third leaf. And so I'm doing all this stuff and then like still, you know, like the bell pepper plant I have it. It has like four bell peppers on it right now. But they're not getting any bigger than like a golf ball. And

LiteBrite

did you trim your bell pepper? Is those growing?

David

No,

LiteBrite

I've, so I'm not that much of an outdoor, like garden person. But that is something I've heard if for larger crop, especially with peppers and cucumbers, I believe cucumbers you want to as it's growing, you got to cut them back a little bit so that they branch out more. And then that encourages more fruit production and then they think larger fruit as well.

David

Okay, so I'll trim off like baby, maybe trim off some of the branches that aren't producing producing anything. Yeah, I guess that might

LiteBrite

also help. Okay, that transfers the energy to the other parts of the plant when they take that part of the plant away. Yeah, that

David

makes sense. Because it's like it's pulling stuff out of the dirt. And then it you know, it's gonna go somewhere. I'd rather send it to the food than those boring old leaves that are just using collected sunlight. Okay, so what is the chemical inside of a rock chemical? But what are the cells caught? What's that stuff called it? That turns the sunlight into food?

LiteBrite

Or a plus?

David

I was gonna say I was gonna try to get you to say chlorophyll. So I could be like,

Leila

more Phil is the Borovo.

LiteBrite

Chlorophyll is the specific chemical but us what are the cells those are the chloroplasts, which is a powerful, which then gets pigment to the or to the plant.

Leila

Gotcha. Yeah, you should have sent it more specifically. Yes.

David

It's been over 20 years since I was in high school.

Leila

Yeah, it's it's been at least three years,

David

at least three years since I was in high school. Totally. You know, it is after three years you forget stuff. And that's that's just how it goes.

Leila

kind of find a name to this plant. Mimosa pudica. I have some seeds for those are those are good. They're called the zombie plant.

David

Are those goods or have you heard the zombie playing or that?

LiteBrite

I have not? There's one for me.

Leila

You touch it? And it like closes Oh, yeah.

LiteBrite

Yep. also call them sensitive plants. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah.

David

You can also use those for tracking people. Totally so right when, when you're, you know, a Texas Ranger. And as you are out and about searching for the fugitives, you can look for those kinds of plants and if they're closed up, that means something touched it. So you got an idea of which direction to go. Okay

LiteBrite

are you gonna be following a rabbit?

Leila

Right? Yeah, real.

David

Rabbits are good eaten.

Leila

But they're not the bandit.

David

Yeah, they're not the bandit. What was that gonna? I was gonna ask, I was gonna ask you something. Okay. So like, out of out of all the plants that you have. Which ones like your baby, do you have one? That's like, just like, oh, that's, that's my favorite. I really like that one.

LiteBrite

Yes. If you listen to our show, I talked about it a lot. My it's called a Hoya High School, Jana variegata.

David

Okay, I was gonna Google it. early on.

Leila

I looked at it. Oh my gosh, they're so pretty. Yeah.

David

How did you Oh, okay. Okay, I got I got Vermont, Vermont boys is where I found it.

LiteBrite

Oh, that is a fantastic resource for

David

the leaves look like slices of cucumber. Yeah. What? Oh, and this picture?

LiteBrite

Are you looking at the green one or the varigated? It just says

David

Vermont Jolla is the site about the northern United States and it says Hoya his shit. Nish? lejana. However you say that that's all it says it doesn't have.

LiteBrite

Okay, so then you are looking at just the regular green one. There gotta is you know, barricaded media. It's gonna have white on it. So yeah, mine, you know, you're looking at those little green cucumber slices and then mine's got white in the center of it.

David

Okay, I found it. Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah, it's neat because the leaves like they're darker on the outside, like the skin color and then the insides lighter. And then he got like, even lighter. So, that's he has an all Oh,

Leila

yeah. Betsy

David

So how big is how big is your Hoya? You surely Akia Leanna very year gotta

LiteBrite

um well I guess for reference in my picture that I sent you that is my husky liana.

David

Oh okay, so that's not just like some clever photo editing.

LiteBrite

No. All right, that is me. Like I just stuck my face inside of the trails. I was trying to get a picture of the, like a reference of size. Because I always had pictures with my friends of it. I'm like, this never looks like the actual size it is. So it is in a six inch pot on a 12 inch hoop trellis. Become a beast within itself.

David

All right. And yeah, that's, you can check that out on on Twitter. I believe it's on our Fun Fact Friday Twitter. You can see when we did a promo for the episode. That's what we're talking about there. And yeah, that's that's really cool picture of like that.

LiteBrite

Yeah. And then it if you look at the blooms of flowers, they're just these tiny, tiny little pink flowers. Yeah, they're so I love it. And it's been flowering for me for about four months now nonstop. And they smell like butterscotch.

Leila

Oh, yeah. Gosh.

LiteBrite

So as is the genus and I'm like, super into right now. And a lot of their flowers smell like different things. Some smell like

David

Oh, no. Oh, no.

Leila

Our meeting ended.

David

Okay, hold on. Let's see. We'll never know. All right. Give me a second. Oh, no. Zoom meeting. Pie. Oh, boy. Oh, no. It's an invalid meeting.

Leila

Oh my gosh. Texture real quick. I don't know how to do this.

David

Okay, hold on host with failure off. Do you want to make a new open zoom meetings?

Leila

We'll never know what it smells like.

David

Oh, no. What does it smell like? Join it for pure audio. And then participants invite link and paste. Alright,

Leila

this disaster. Disaster. What do we do?

David

Oh, no, no. You know what? I think that this is a short enough. They were leaving it in. So everybody while we wait for whitebread to join the new the new channel and tell us what what that smells like.

Leila

Like we'll never know. All right. Okay,

David

I'm back. What does it smell like? Which one? I don't know. You're you said it smells like.

LiteBrite

So my husband Jana. Smells like butterscotch. Okay. And then I will say in how Hoyas have a bunch of different smelling flowers depending on what species they are. Some smell like old lady perfume. Some will smell like chocolate. Some will.

David

Butterscotch mix? Yep.

Leila

Oh my gosh, chocolate when I want a good smelling room.

David

Okay, I've got some suggestions. It's called a vacuum cleaner. is called Bringing your laundry out to the laundry room more often.

Leila

You would never tell me when you're doing the laundry. And you need to be like, hey, you know what your laundry I think

David

I think episode 150 Which we're not making a big fanfare about we're not doing a big o 100. But I think 101 For the episodes of a highly most successful podcast in the world. And you're 13 and I think I think it's probably time you start doing your own laundry.

Leila

I did my own laundry for about a month and then you were like, no let me do laundry.

David

I would never say that. Those words would never come out of my mouth. Oh, let me do your laundry. You do our laundry. I do. Do the laundry. Doo doo doo

Leila

do our laundry. Yes. And you're fine with it. Yes.

David

It's fine. All right.

Leila

I do the job I clean. I'm looking

David

at the rough around the hedges feed and the last two episodes were about boys. Yes. Always is your jam right now. You know some people have pictures of their kids in their wallet. You got pictures of boys.

LiteBrite

I do. Anyone who asked I will show you pictures of me.

David

I love that. I was not aware of this plant until just now when you started never heard Hoya used as a as a plant name. I keep I keep bumping microphones in a new spot with so rearranging the studio Monstera overheads.

Leila

Yeah, how big can they get?

LiteBrite

Oh my gosh, I'm massive like if you give them the space and the right conditions, they just keep getting bigger. Right so I think the longest not not inside someone's house but like we go to the conservatory here and see, I think the large Just sleep I've seen is probably at least six feet long. And then you know, good four or five feet wide. Wow. Yeah. All right, a single leaf. A single leaf those those guys get pretty big. We had

David

some kind of banana plant is what we called it. I don't know, elephant airplane, whatever, in front of our old house and its leaves would get about towards me about my torso size.

LiteBrite

Yeah, the day. That's the allocation Dora and I have I don't have an indoor but a lot of my friends do and yeah, they get pretty, pretty huge

David

as well. That plant was invincible. I didn't. I didn't like it. So I cut it down. I dug up. I thought I got it all. And then it came back. And then I was like, okay, so I poisoned it. And it came back. And then we had a plumbing issue. And the plumbers tore up like a large chunk of our entire front yard, including the whole area. four foot down where that plant was. And I'm like, Okay, it's gone. Nope, it came back. Wow. But

months later same spots. So they there must have been a single like, particle of root on like the wall of the trench that they just the chlorophyll. Right them chloroplasts had a had a they were they were ready.

LiteBrite

Yeah, those allocations, they have like a giant bulb on them. So if you leave any kind of tissue of that ball, it will it has the ability to come back.

David

Okay, so that whole that explains of them because yeah, must have left a little. Just a little tiny bit. Yeah, those it was it was kind of neat, though it did shade. It was like right in front of the bathroom window. So when they grew up, it did shade it a little bit. But I mean, we had curtains in there anyway. But But yeah, planting plants fascinate me, but I'm just not. I'm not great with them.

Leila

Well, what was your first plant?

LiteBrite

So when I started, I really wanted to, I didn't know how my cats were going to react to cats at home at the time and not having plans. And I was I didn't know if they were going to you know, try to destroy them. And I didn't want to get anything that would make them sick. So I went with the Calafia. That is the genus. So I went with three different colored atheists, the white fusion, the beauty star and the

rattlesnake and brought those home. Full disclaimer, they still are not in my care because clay theists are extremely temperamental. And within a few I think within six months, they had gotten pests and died on me. Oh, no. But they're, they're also another great. They can be a good starter plant because they're so cool. They're very dramatic. And they will tell you when they need to be watered. It's very obvious when they need

to be watered. Yeah, basically what they do, they'll like full on just like drop or lay like their leaves wilt and then they curl up and then they look very sad and thirsty. And then you give them water and then they're happy again. Nice. But those are cool plants are called power plants. Because they move during the daytime. Like their leaves are just constantly like fluctuating and you know, moving towards the Sun moving away from the sun, however they need it and then at night, they tend to

leaves will come like full on straight up. And they look like hands in prayer. And that's where that term prayer plant came from. Yep.

David

Are those are those temperamental? They,

LiteBrite

there's a lot. If you ask a lot of people, they'll say yes, but I know. They're not if you they just don't like to dry out a whole lot. So if you're good about recognizing when they're looking like they want water, okay, giving them water, then they're they're pretty easy to figure out. Like you said

David

they yell at you. So yeah. Also. Oh, yeah. Okay, so I just had like, you know, how we always have like a project and we get halfway done with it. And then we start a new project,

Leila

like crocheting stuff where I have three different projects.

David

I'm sitting there we've got that whole Arduino kit in there they've never used and it has a moisture sensor. Yeah. Oh, so we could like jam the moisture sensor down into the into the dirt and set it up an Arduino and it could like send us a text message or something. Yeah, it was only for like one plant waarmee or, or we could set it up with a speaker and program it to actually yell at us. If we built one we can build another Arduino not expensive. Yeah,

Leila

but I think it'd be fine. I'll care for it. If I have one in my room. You know, do you

David

do you grow any herbs or anything that is edible or only for just like to look at and whatnot?

LiteBrite

Yeah, I haven't got I'm really into the gardening for food or growing for food. I we live we live in a townhouse so we don't have a whole lot of space to have you know, tomatoes, potatoes all that I would love to. But even like small herbs or anything like that I haven't I haven't gotten into it yet.

David

Okay, that's always I'm a practical like I like having I don't mind to be not that I don't mind I like when there's flowers. I like when there's stuff like that. But I've always been like a pretty plants. Like, I want to turn the whole yard backyard in like, I wanna grow corn over here, and potatoes and tomatoes. We want to grow the whole thing. But then like, yeah, work of it. I started thinking about that. And that's just no time.

LiteBrite

Yeah, I got growing up. And still my parents have a very large garden. So I spent many time many of summer you know, weeding the garden and stuff. So I'm kind of good on that one for now.

David

Right? He's I actually didn't go down to the Fresh Market. Okay, right stream went down for a second. Okay. It looks like it's back up. All right. So. All right, it's back up. Pretty good to go. So, yeah, well, we do at Whoa, we got really close to the mic there. We do the show live on Thursday nights, just letting folks know, most Thursday nights, we're going to start doing it live 7pm. Eastern. And we do have a chat room on the website. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it

doesn't. But you can always connect to IRC dot zero no.net and go into the channel. Hashtag Fun Fact Friday. So that's just to let folks know that we were talking about stream, we're talking about stuff like that going down. Folks who might be new listeners, just letting you know. All right, we're actually working on working on a thing where you can go, you can chat in either discord, or IRC, or we might be coming back to Twitch and YouTube. So spoiler warning, we're working on a bunch of

stuff. Now the studio is up and running. We have a secret project, we have to say, Oh, yes. We're not secret. It's not a secret. But we're not going to say what it is yet. We want we're going to complete this project before we announce it fully. Because I don't want to get people all excited. And then it take us six months to do. And then you know, they're just like chomping at the bit for it. But we've got something in the works. That's going to be super fun for everybody. It's gonna be

it's gonna be silly. Sorry to interrupt the planet conversation with housekeeping stuff I should have saw at the beginning of the show, but yeah. Yeah. Did you have any more questions? Leila?

Leila

I was just wondering bulbs actually like good for if you have a good houseplant. Ah,

David

we haven't heard about this.

Leila

I did yeah.

LiteBrite

For long term, or sorry, if I guess for like a constant use, probably not, you might end up you always run the risk of root rot if you're giving your plant too much water at any given time and my brain if you're constantly giving it water, there's no chance for the air because the roots also like some air so that's where the drying out helps and you know,

helps aerate the soil a little bit. So the those like Aqua glow things if you're going on vacation, and you're worried that something's going to dry out while you're gone great, like an everyday kind of thing. I'd say probably not going to give your plants a little bit of a break.

Leila

That was my point on the argument. He was like no, you want the water and the warmth will

David

embolden that. It's like an automatic thing just does it for you. We did get a boost a little while ago and we never mentioned it 7777 From blueberry it says or boost RT N so and then there's a link to our handmade by blueberry. Axolotl hexagon. GIF

Leila

thing. Yeah. And it's cool. I was gonna say something but then you interrupted me well.

David

Respectfully.

Leila

No, I don't know what I'm gonna say. So you can turn your volume back up. But

David

oh, no, I made you lose it. We're talking about the bulb.

Leila

I know you're not going to.

David

I'm not gonna get you back to it at the bulb. Now. Library. Did you have any questions for us? About anything? Like we know, literally everything. That's why we started this show to share our knowledge about

Leila

everything. Like we're not Yeah, where all these facts come from us. Yeah, that's why we have show notes.

LiteBrite

Do you know I guess which did come first the chicken or the egg?

David

Ah, I was just talking to my brother about this earlier today. You're ready? You're ready. Yeah. Yeah. The egg came first.

LiteBrite

Yeah, yeah. I also believe that.

David

Do you know? Do you know why the egg came first? And I'm so sure of this.

LiteBrite

More than likely I'm assuming the chicken is a hybridization of something. So the egg had to produce the chicken first.

David

No, because the question is imprecise. Ah, fish eggs were around before chickens or chicken eggs?

LiteBrite

Oh, it's not. I see. I see.

Leila

So if you say, bring little holes in the earth, so that his argument is correct, right?

LiteBrite

Yeah, he thinks like, the super Phil. philosophical answer to that is a circle has no beginning. Sure.

David

I'm looking at a circle on my computer screen. It's right there. That's the beginning. I see it. Near the top, but not quite. Yeah, no, that's you if you want to get super philosophical about it. Depending on on your creation beliefs on your there's all these different variables that go along with it. Yeah. And I think it's kind of like, what was the one about the tree? Oh, if a tree falls in the woods, and no one's around to hear it doesn't make a sound. All right.

Okay, Leila. Do you have a given answer plan? No, I'm

Leila

just thinking about musicals. Oh, okay. So song and dear Evan Hanson has this thing all right,

David

yes, that has been around forever. I know. The tree falls in the woods and no one's around to hear it doesn't make a noise. Yes. It's like the sound waves, those sound waves and the energy. It's going to go out, out and forever and it's going to affect you, whether you you're near it, or not. Just all these little micro movements in the air and, and all that. But as getting too deep, it's just supposed to be there's all these questions that don't You don't not really supposed to answer.

Leila

If you could have a lunch with anyone in the world who would be dead or alive, dead or alive.

David

Now that doesn't mean pick a celebrity that you want dead. named them, and then say no. She means like, you know, which means

Leila

Yeah, she knew what I meant before you said that.

LiteBrite

Probably gonna get I'm just gonna get real sentimental and probably say my grandpa that passed away about 15 years ago. Oh, yeah.

David

I'd love to talk to my grandpa too. He. He developed Alzheimer's. Before I was old enough to really get to know him. So yeah, that was that was sad. But do you have a fun answer?

LiteBrite

Oh, I think Freddie Mercury would be pretty cool. Love to pick his brain a little bit. Yeah,

David

yeah. Freddie Mercury. He's, he's that guy that sings stuff. Right?

Leila

He does. He's

LiteBrite

saying a couple of things.

David

One or two more to one or two songs you may have heard of.

Leila

was gonna say Miko from Vsauce Yeah, so who is yours? Leila

David

Michael from Vsauce you want to have lunch with Michael from Vsauce?

Leila

Yeah, I think it'd be an interesting do to Taco

David

well why don't we start a campaign to try to get Michael from Vsauce to come on Fun Fact Friday.

Leila

What are we gonna do it on? change.org

David

I don't know. We can just call him when no library is because number.

LiteBrite

I do. Yeah. I have I have Michael's number. I can try it.

Leila

I know at least one Michael Right.

David

Yeah, so I think I'm good on questions. Unless Should I ask the one? Yeah. Okay, so here we go. This is asking not related questions. For Fun Fact Friday who knows? Yeah, we were just talking out of all this cereal mascots who would win in a fight?

LiteBrite

I feel like I have to. If I don't say blueberry I'll probably get yelled at later.

David

Bye. No,

LiteBrite

but honestly like Tony The Tigers a bit of a tank I think like that's what I'm saying.

David

Yeah, I mean, so but then you've got the the leprechaun man. No, but

Leila

didn't Tiger

LiteBrite

Great. Yeah, but the leprechaun man is just like, good at running away and hiding. He's not good at fighting.

David

But he hasn't been on LeBrock all of the magic.

Leila

I am the Black Eyed Peas Excuse me.

David

Boom, boom. I'm Yeah, no. Count Chocula Oh, did you hear they're getting the new one this year? No. What? Yeah, no, all of the serial Halloween people. They're getting a new one. New serial Halloween lady. What was her name? Monster serials. Wikipedia. Carmel Carmela creeper, creeper. All right is the first new serial monster in 35 years.

Leila

She looks like a real nerd.

David

Yeah. So it is Carmela creeper. And this is not an ad for General Mills. We don't do ads on the show. It is going to be a caramel apple cereal. So it's gonna be amazing. It's gonna be like Apple Jacks with karma and marshmallows. Looks pretty good. And this is like my favorite. She's a DJ of her. And she's doing a Monster Mash remix.

Leila

Oh my gosh. That's too much.

David

And I think it's gonna have I think it looks like it's gonna have all of the cereals or is it just,

Leila

I don't think that's gonna be good.

David

I don't know. But I think it's gonna have chocolate would go out Chocula blueberry, Franken Berry and Carmela creeper in it. I think that I'm not going to read the article, because that would give me information and speculating. Much more fun.

Leila

I know. It's much more fun.

David

It's more thing.

Leila

And then I'm going to ask you the question of the thing that I asked blueberry when he was on. I forgot the exact wording. But who's your favorite cartoon character? I think? Oh, jeez.

David

Have a good one. Have a good one.

LiteBrite

That's a very expansive question. Yeah. Because then we play the game of wall is animate considered a cartoon? Is that it does. Okay.

Leila

So I real person.

LiteBrite

I've been on a huge demon slayer kick. for like the last month. I just read through all the manga. And I've been rewatching it. Yeah, I like I plowed through the manga in about two weeks. The Nerd. But I really love nezuko. Like, she's probably my favorite character from that series right now. And so that's the first thing that comes to my brain. Yeah, manga is

Leila

expensive, man. It is. I only buy like two of every one of them. Because I'm like, yeah, oh, look, a series that I really like, That's too expensive. Um, okay.

LiteBrite

It's nice when you become an adult, and you have your adult money that you can waste away on books. But

David

yeah. I spend all my adult money on stupid stuff like a studio, right?

Leila

The only series that I have, like every single one of them is Danganronpa. And that's because there's only like five in each one of the series is. Yeah, because they're pretty short.

David

That's the one we call dangit. Grandpa. Ding then rumbles ding ding rumbles Yeah. All right, so we're about a 45 minute mark, give or take a few minutes. And unless you have anything else, I think we'll wrap up and go to the post show and we can chit chat about manga or anime, but I think we'll wrap the show up now. Next week. We have Mimi Smith Dvorak coming on, and she's gonna be talking about eggs. It's going to be our eggs episode. It's going to be an excellent eggs episode.

Because we have an eggs spurt coming on

Leila

you got one giggle

LiteBrite

I'm trying to hide the cackle.

David

I just leaned back and let it rip. That's that's what I usually

Leila

ah, and then his headphones fall off.

David

Yes. Because I'm bald.

Leila

You got your wig cap right here. I mean, your white hat.

David

Yes, I got a hat that has hair. It looks like a visor. But then it's got like a really cheap wig sticking out the top that looks like Guy Fieri hair but it was a wig. And I went into a discord chat that had video on the other night and I was talking to people and I was like, Man is getting hot in here and I took the hat off and wiped my head down with a paper towel and everybody just it the whole room erupted. And

Leila

everybody clapped.

David

Did everybody get one? No, they were all I didn't see their goon
