Hello hello. Welcome back. Welcome back. Welcome back if you're recovering
Welcome to Fun Fact Friday. Yeah, normally wear weekly. But last week we took off and we'll tell you why. If you stay tuned
for another episode of never done
oh do you hear the seagulls? I hear the seagulls. The hair the waves? Yeah. What's going on? What's going on? Is this the cruise edition?
This is a special cruise edition of Fun Fact Friday.
theater of the mind. So we took last week off and turn that down a little bit. We took last week off. And we went on a little a little trip.
Adventure. Yeah, a little adventure on a magic carpet ride.
So this week's episode is actually we're recording on Tuesday the 27th I say
we're gonna say we're recording on the boat. And I'm like, No, we're
not. No, we're not. Alright, I'm gonna turn the waves down that gags that gag sold. It's got whiskers on it. So yeah, we took last week off to go on a cruise. And we had a great time. And we're going to be talking about that this episode. But first, we have a little little stuff to take care of here at the beginning. As we normally do. We received a monthly sustaining donation from kurta thank you so much Curtis that helps us out a lot helps us pay for costs associated with
the show. And you know the occasional ice cream. Oh, we haven't been for ice cream since we got back. We have ice cream. Yeah, we do. You're gonna be nice cream. We'll talk about that in a minute too. We got some donations via the value for value system and podcasting 2.0 Arena. From the fountain app we received 3333 sets from Mooli steed, Florida State boost says I didn't hear you mention Rockford Penicillium mold the naturally occurring antibiotic. You should look into that. It's
pretty cool. We can we can look into that. Yeah, looking like antibiotics and whatnot. and whatnot. Oh, we should do an episode about medicine. Medicine now. Strict opinions too strong about that one. So then next next one that was also from Dooley
the least at least for 9999 It's on the cheese episode. It says dy i i think maybe Thank you met DIY. Yes, off cheese cut. Oh, yeah. Dry. Soft cheese cutter. Dental Floss are harder. For harder cheese. Steel Guitar wire. Yep. So soft cheeses. Dental floss,
I get that. You don't want to get a mint one though. You want to get the unflavored good old mint cheddar. Oh, I just started thinking about it. I'm glad
you're back. Y'all. You all Yep. Are ready for your podcast index. 2.0 debut.
Yeah, we've been we've been podcast, podcasting. 2.0 compliant since the get go. We haven't put a few of the new tags in yet. We're working on backend stuff right now. So I got a whole I got a whole I got a plan. I even have a little notebook that says the plan on it. Yeah. Like the
bubble letters. Yep.
I was. I got bored and made it pretty. And then the last boost was from just listening on fountain for 555 cents. Thank you very much. Mac and cheese are the hot dogs and peas. Are you think about hot dogs in your mac and cheese?
I mean, it just depends on how well diced they are.
I like them to be everyone. I like going to be like maybe half an inch long. So like sliced a little half an inch pieces.
Yeah, I like mine to be cut into little slices. And then probably fourth fourth. Oh so you like I like I'm really diced up so I can get like a nice scoop. Alright,
well continuing the boost. Sounds delicious with a Gouda cream cheese can also make it extra creamy. I don't like cream cheese. Thank you the culture, bacteria and mold is in milk is unique and different in different areas of the world. And this plays a large role in the diversity of cheeses throughout the world. Neat. So we had a couple other little facts come in that I wanted to talk about. Oh that's it for our
donations. We definitely appreciate that everybody. I also want to give a shout out to the person we're always shouting out to because he's Vanda has Dred Scott. Yeah, we had intended on doing chapters for that episode before we went on the cruise, but I got stressed out. Yes, we were doing the chapters and we got stressed out. So and we had a bunch of stuff we had to get taken care of before we could leave town and it just it fell through. But he came through and got the
chapters done for us. And it was amazing. And we thank you very much.
So apparently, we listen on podcast addict. Yeah, you when you speed it up, it goes by the number of what you're speeding it up. So if you were speeding up to like to experience a 30 minute long episode, it only show up it's 15 minutes long. And I was doing it at 2x speed to hurt myself. Yeah, you're putting the timestamps in. So I was really at like the 30 The 30 minute mark, but I was only at like 17
on my list. And I'm like what's happening and I figured it out and I but it was like started crying
really late and we we had to get like we had to get up early to get on the road. Yeah. But yes, anyway, I gave up so yeah, and we had we had so much to do we forgot about like five things that we had to do before we left so but on the on our on our Mastodon instance, social dot means media.com We are at Fun Fact Friday, and we got a comment. And it's a jiffy is a real unit of time. Oh, this is dark radar. A Jiffy is a real
unit of time. The definition varies on the field. Depending on the field of study and astrophysics and quantum physics. A Jiffy is an amount of time it takes for light to travel the distance the size of a nucleus. So that's pretty cool. Pretty fast. Get it done in a jiffy.
That's pretty fast.
You can't even say jiffy. In a jiffy, Jiffy, just can't say anything in a jiffy. That's like that's like a real short. That's that's really a short period of time. Where you're
like, yeah, it is.
And then we add another comment under that. I know an old school retro computing console programming a jiffy was the measurement measurement of time between screen redrawing 1/60 of a second and NTSC and 1/50 of a second and Powell. Which of the two different formats for making a TV work, essentially, a color clock was the time it took for took to draw the three pixels that it takes to show RGB, ie one pixel. So the way that TVs used to work is a little different now. is
really interesting. The way it would shoot the rays out of the cathode ray tube at the screen, and what have you, you've noticed what what was up? Nothing. Don't put your Don't point your phone camera at me when I'm doing funny stuff. We'll talk about that later. So, so yeah, and then we had some more facts come in from Team Omaha. Oh, yes.
It's just so Lila, um, made a mistake. Lila said
something.
I did. I kind of I done my stuff.
She's the aura clarinet. But you know, clarinets are lame. So, Team Omaha apparently plays the clarinet. Yeah. And since some fun clarinet FX was really fun clarinet FX. While I take a sip.
Franklin effects number one, Mozart loved the clarinet so much that He gave it its place in the orchestra. Neat. Oh, hold on my ticket. Okay, I'm back. The winner of the saxophone designs a type of clarinet, the bass clarinet. The biggest clarinet ever made was merely a few inches shorter than history's tallest man. And that clarinet was called the octo contra bass. The smallest clarinet in the world is only eight is always 14 inches smaller than that,
or a point three meters.
It's the only woodwind with 12 Note register, which I thought was the most interesting. Out of all of these, you can leave a large distance in the music with that with not too much effort. No other instrument allows this level of transposing versatility ever. Click clarinets have a unique and beautiful sound and they are not lame. So they remember the sixth one.
So yeah, thank you for that. We always appreciate correspondence and mail at FunFactFriday.com. We love emails, they're fun. And that I believe is all the stuff that we had written down to talk about and the rest of the show. We're gonna go over going on a rant. Yeah, we're just gonna talk about our cruise and talk about some stuff we we went through and or learned along
the way. Yeah, it was a definitely it was definitely a time and it was a learning
experience. So we we, oh, real quick, this episode, depending on Lila has a minor surgery on my mouth on our mouth.
surgeries on my mouth.
So podcasting, we're not sure for how how quickly it'll heal podcast we're hoping it'll be a couple of days and she'll be fine.
Hopefully, if I'm talking a little funny next episode. That's what's going on. You're free to make fun of me. Because I won't care. Because it's not my fault.
Yeah, so. So there's that. So there's that. So
Oh, geez. Oh, my goodness. Oh, my goodness. He just bumped the table. I
did the entirety entire table. Okay, so here's our ocean. We got up we got in the car. We started driving. We started buches which is we did antastic gas station, please stop there. In South Carolina in Florence. It's fairly new one. They've just opened it recently. And oh my goodness, it was busy. It was insane in there. It felt like a concert. There were so many people. And there was um, who kind of catch my breath
there. They had a Bucky, which is a beaver. And he was like, what eight foot tall you know, would like mascot outfits, you know? And we got a we got a cool like, we're about to drop a rap album. Picture. You know, like low angle crossing our arms. That should be up on your screen if you're using a podcasting 2.0 app right now. But I bet we made that dude's day. Yeah, cuz, you know, it's constantly just like, Hi. Just a wave picture. Yeah.
Or like a peace sign. Yeah, not, but I feel like it'd be fun. Yeah, just some fun pose. Right? If I was a mascot, I would love that. Yeah. So
it's not something different, you know, break up the monotony while we moved on from bikinis. And then we went down to this little town. We were I guys lunchtime. So we got and we saw a sign for the Cracker Barrel. That's just always a solid bet. Right? So we're like, let's go to Cracker Barrel hour and 10 minute wait, something like that. And we're like, Nah, let's just get some fast food. Let's get on the road.
You didn't even talk about the adventure to Cracker Barrel. It said that the Cracker Barrel was just a little bit outside of the interstate. Oh, yes. It was and it was hidden. Yeah, it was look it up on Google Maps.
Yeah, we look Phaedra looked it up on Google Maps. And it didn't make any sense. So Lila is down back there like doing detective work to find out how to get to this Cracker Barrel with my first like, you had to like drive behind like three hotels, you had to like ramp off of this thing that didn't look like there was any road but there was like an invisible road and you went through a waterfall. And then like, there's like fake falling rocks that were hologram. So
like to deter other people anyway, we get there. And totally, it's an hour and 10 minute wait, we're like now let's go to let's go to a fast food place. So we pull up to a certain fast food place that has two golden arches as its logo. Yeah. And we're sitting there. And we're sitting there. And it's, we haven't moved yet. We're in the drive thru and we have not moved and it's been a good 10 minutes. And I'm like, You know what, let's, let's go to Wendy's. So we circle around,
almost get lost again. Get to Wendy's. Same thing. We pull into exactly all into the drive thru. We move one car length because the person in front of us leaves. But the car in front of them had not moved in 10 minutes. 10 minutes. So we're sitting here. And we're like, you know what, let's go to the next exit.
Yeah. Because what happened is you got really hungry.
Yes, I was hungry. I was hungry.
Yeah. And we were like, let's just get off to the next episode. We'll find something surely. And we got off. And this all happened. So we were like, nevermind. So we
went to the next exit. We got some food. We pressed on to Brunswick, Georgia. Hey, yeah, and we had booked a hotel for the night looked like a nice hotel. It was a nice hotel, but oh my gosh, there was a whole lot of US government vehicles
out in the park. We went to Walmart to buy me some shoes. Yeah. And there was a there was some some toilet paper and like, like food,
a lot, a lot of toilet paper and a lot of bottled water. And we're like, because we haven't seen the news all day. So we're like what's going on and nothing. That's just they're just buying it. in Brunswick, Georgia, we started to get a little weirded out. So anyway, nothing. Nothing came Have anything we get to the boat? Thankfully, we go through. We also have the lines we get on the boat and Lila, why don't you take it from there? And we'll talk about our quick adventures
on the boat. So what tell them about getting on the boat? What was the first thing that amazed you?
We get on the boat. That's a big, huge, it's a really big I think that's it.
We just got on the boat. And then five days, I
know what amazed me. You're just
you're just like, first of all, there's there's seemingly a million people. Yes, because everybody doesn't know where they're go and they don't get to lay out. So you're kind of trying to get your way and try and find your way to your room. And we checked our bags, because we didn't want to carry them. So we had them take them up to the room. But it's you know, it takes time. So we had to go wander around and about nothing's really open yet because we're still in port. And
anyway, we get to our room. It's nice. It's got a little private balcony. And we we just kind of waited to waited to get out onto the water. Yeah, and then that's when the rocking started.
That's pretty cool. The rocking was fine. It was kind of scary because I got motion sickness a lot. But we had those little patches they put on the back here.
Your Yes, yes, a motion sickness because I don't really get motion sickness.
Surprisingly on boat, right in the car, I
get it in the car. If I'm not. If I'm not driving, I have to be looking straight forward in a car or I get motion sickness but on a boat. I'm perfectly fine. For motion sickness. Keep that in mind for later
foreshadowing.
So first day, we're kind of just kind of getting our bearings, getting our sea legs, as it were. We went up, went up to the food and got some free food. So good. The food was good. The entire trip. Pretty Yeah. We went to the first day was just at sea like we we left on Monday. Monday was just the leaving day. The second day, we were just out in the ocean just cruise arrows, right? You know, haven't haven't fun on the boat. We're still just kind of checking out the whole boat.
Phaedra went to the jewelry store and got a raffle ticket. She didn't win the first raffle. She didn't win the first raffle. But she did win the second raffle. It was awesome. And she got some jewelry for free. Some really cool jewelry. And but she did get to talk into the sales people. And then, and then introduced me while reminding me that it was her birthday trip to Carlos introduced me to Carlos. Carlos was a sales guy. She said Hey, David, you know, we're on my
nice birthday trip here. And this is Carlos, the jewelry guy and I'm like, and then she walked away. So favorite house is like, hey, so Phaedra got some jewelry for her birthday. She also got a bunch of free free birthday stuff like meals and small gift certificates on a cruise. Go on your birthday, man. Yeah, you get lots of freebies, lots of freebies, lots of freebies. So we had a really good time on the cruise. What
else happened? That was eventful that we last year, but oh my gosh, something was going on. This
is going on. Okay, if y'all have news about share this week, please share. I looked everywhere. For share. Please share, please share the news. We don't know what was there last night. Yeah. There was two people dressed up as I think oh no, there was one person dressed up a share and one sunny. And then there was the second night. The whole cruise there was share playing at least one place even
before the cruise when we were driving up there. There was like two references to share. And it wasn't just like, we were listening to music and share popped up. It was like, I can't remember all of the references. If we written them down there are at least 2015 Random unrelated references to share. So we're like, genuinely concerned. Yeah, we're like something's happened to shame. versus trying to tell us I know I looked
up share desk, because I genuinely thought that something happened to share while you're gone. But nothing happened. I don't think that we know of but please tell us if it did. If she's okay. Please tell us
if you share let us know we know you listen. Do you believe I do. Well, yeah, well. Needs more autotune Yeah. So yeah, and then the Um dinners we went to they performed for us. Yeah. Tina Turner night there was a Tina Turner impersonator? Yeah. Really bad. Like it was. It was just a sloppy wig. It's the entire person. He
was one of our servers to one of our
servers dancing around like Tina Turner singing. Proud, Mary. Yeah. Rolling on a river. You got to sing I want to sing. So, yeah, wow, what else? What else? What else? Logical. Chronological. Yeah, so dinners. We met some nice folks talk to a whole lot of people. They had movies. So like, but the movies were on the top deck. So you could like hang out in the swimming pool.
The top deck is called the Lido Deck. As the ninth floor. You just sit in the pool and the like play a Marvel movie. There weren't they were all my movies. But the one that I was up there with it was Ant Man The Wasp. So I really didn't watch it that much. Yeah, we didn't watch much is on. It was
on it was like when you're hanging out and the TV's on the on Faders actual birthday. We went to the steak house. Which is the like the upper class, the upper class part of the you know, we actually had to pay for the food the rest of the foods free. Right. So we prepaid got a reservation. Lila, I want you to tell our listeners about the dinner. And your your impression of going to an actual fancy restaurant.
Oh my gosh, you guys. This was one of the best experiences I've ever had with food service, though, okay, you walk in, they sit you down. And you're immediately greeted with a girl with bread. And I think of bread. She has three different types of bread. And she's like, do you want this bread or this bread or this bread? And you're like and she's like, okay, all three. And she gives you all three types of
bread. And she gives all of us all three types of bread. And and then the dude comes up or Dude, wait, waiter, and he is like, Would you like ice water? Water or sparkling water? They had three different types of water. Two of them were the same. But oh my gosh, I'm so happy because they had sparkling water. And I got to drink sparkling water out of a thin rim glass man, which makes water tastes better. Yes. The sparkling water was amazing. I drink more of that than I drink
my soda. And you eat the bread. And they have this fancy butter. They had fancy butter with truffles and spinach on the outside. And beets.
It was go Yeah, sorry.
And then they give you the money. Like would you like online or paper menu. This is the only place on the hobo with a paper menu that we went to. Oh my gosh, it was amazing. We got the paper menu. I ordered the fish. I forgot what's called. And then for the appetizer, I got some crab thing. I forgot what it was risotto, Raisa crab risotto. And for dessert, I got cheesecake, but the cheesecake was like the worst part of the meal. Honestly, it was just an experience, man. So we get the
risotto out. And mom used her entree fork for the appetizer.
Oh my gosh.
I love you mom.
Oh man who was so funny. What's going on? Are you hearing something?
The guy next was his truck. It's too loud.
They can't hear it on the on the bog guy.
I know. But it's like shook the shed. Right. Shed shaker. Bucha put a sticker on the back of his truck. Shaker.
Yeah, the appetizers came out.
I had my meal.
I had French onion soup.
He had French onion soup and he almost cried. It was so good. He almost cried.
I got emotional.
He told us like this is French.
It put this you know it's like an A like a cauldron like it like a witch's brew. Right? It's got cheese pouring over the sides of it. It's got the croutons inside soaking up the French onion soup. And I put my spoon in like like you do. And I took a sip of the soup. And there's never been a more perfect concoction of salt, broth, seasonings. There's it's it's perfect. It was a perfect soup. Have you seen ratatouille reached out to ratatouille? Rat ratatouille? Yeah. I know. Rata
to Rhett. So, you know, you know when the critic of the end sitting there and he eats the ratatouille and it like, takes him back. Yeah, he has like, he has like, oh my gosh, it was so good. It was so so I got the surf and turf. It was cooked perfectly. Everything was great. Leila had told me a couple of weeks ago, I was gonna make steaks and she's like, oh, like steak. But then I gave her a bite of my fillet.
Oh my gosh, I almost cried.
It was a very emotionally
very emotional meal. It was the best piece of steak that I've ever had.
So then the next night she or
next night at the free rest at the posh she had the front at the free restaurant. We had gotten vouchers for a steakhouse meal, which they had some of the steakhouse stuff on the posh menu, which had to pay extra which I'd pay extra. So they give us free vouchers for it because it was her birthday. So I got the surf and turf, which was this unlike a smaller filet mignon with a piece of lobster for lobster tail.
It was very good. Oh my gosh, we had you know, people talk about cruises. They talk about you know how all the foods so good the food so goodness, I agree. I gotta say I agree.
I agree to so my gosh, it was so emotional. We you did the jogger
do some stuff besides the just just wandering around doing stuff. Did y'all go to any? I can't remember if y'all went to shows or because I kind of wandered around did my own thing. We
didn't go to any of the Victoriana shows, which is the main theater, right? We didn't go to any of the main theater shows.
One of the things that we did enjoy all of us was they had a Sudoku and crossword puzzle. Every day like a new one. You go sit at the coffee bar and just do a little Sudoku
coffee every day. And we got a sudoku puzzle, right? And then
so then we come to the last day. We're getting things ready, were packing up, getting the room all cleared out, getting everything all set up. And and so Lila's, like we gotta go to karaoke, and we didn't make it the karaoke. anytime during the entire cruise. It just never worked out. So she's like, and I felt, well, yeah, but I felt terrible because you wanted to do it. But then you were like, Let's go to the silent disco. I'm like, that sounds stupid. That sounds so
stupid. silent disco. So we get there. She drags me out to it. I did 1030 at night and the last night of the cruise. So we get out there and there is a line. And the line moves pretty fast. As they give you write down their numbers, yes set of Bluetooth headphones. So you put on the Bluetooth headphones. And
there's a switch on the side. That changes between two channels, where there's two DJs in the disco and this is a full on disco like, like the floors, lighten up and do the disco things and there's lights on the ceiling disco ball, the whole deal, right? Like 1970s Disco. There's two DJs each one has a different Bluetooth channel to your headset. So if you flip it to one, the little lights on the side of your headset turn blue.
If you flip it to two, they turn green. And that's what song you're listening to the red or the blue song or the green song. So half the club is listening to Party in the USA Party in the USA and half the club is listening to shots is listening to shots, you know the LMFAO song. And, and it's funny because people are singing along to two different songs at the same time dancing to two different beats. And it's very funny.
And the DJ comes on and our headphones and he's like, Y'all look so dumb.
Y'all look so dumb. It was hilarious. Okay, so most folks can sing. Kinda okay. Right? Kind of sing a song. But here's the thing. You can sing when you can hear yourself.
No one can hear themselves because these are cancelling
noise cancelling headphones. Sorry man. Yeah, noise cancelling headphones so you can't hear yourself at all. So everybody sounds terrible.
It's off tune it's It's quiet. It's loud. It's at the same time. So if someone's walking past they just see a whole bunch of like people fist pumping and saving attitude singing out of tune
it's just hilarious so then we go we were in there and we're listening we're having a good time we're having a good time and then one one of the channels Sir Mix A Lot Baby Got Back comes on the beat to it and I'm like, oh, it's Baby Got Back. And and then he makes a lot doesn't start singing. The song Barbie girl comes on But with baby. And then it turns into Baby shark for some reason. It was a little confusing. Yeah, but, but then Leila looks over to me and points at her
headphones. And they're blue, and I'm on green. So I flip over to blue. And it's I don't know what it is. Right, but she's super excited. But it's that one where it's like, turn to the left. Turn to the right, the Cha Cha, cha cha Slavic. Yeah, and I've heard it before I'm aware of it. You know, I've been at weddings. But I don't I don't know what Charlie Brown means. So I'm just kind of like watching everybody else trying to adapt to what you're doing. And only half the club is doing
it at first. And then everyone kind of switched over to it. But I'm trying to do this thing called the cha cha slide. And it's pretty cool. Because the song itself tells you how to do the dance is amazing. Except for the Charlie Brown.
I had to teach him. But then there's this part pretty simple.
There's this part. Where, where they say, Oh, what is it? Something was your knees?
I'm sorry. So hands and knees,
hands on your knees. So I go to do that thing that you used to do where you put your hands and knees and then like you move these back and forth and switch your hands means it's how it's supposed to be doing. Yeah. Okay. I thought that was I thought that was what he meant. Well, folks, I gotta I gotta tell you I I accidentally torqued folks.
Doing your Hank Hill boy.
I'm not. I'm not doing the Hank Hill.
Oh my gosh.
Oh. perky. I accidentally twerks. So I've been over to touch my knees. And I accidentally stuck my butt out. And like, felt Oh, no. wiggling my butt in public. Nobody cared. Nobody was looking at me. I just had this like, this is not me. I immediately thought I'm gonna I'm gonna disco. Everybody's having fun. Who cares? So then I felt like Hank Hill. Where? You know how he gets embarrassed? Over like things he feels like he shouldn't be doing. Oh my gosh, it was. It was a really
good experience. Yeah, we had a really good time. I had a great time. Phaedra said she walked past while we were in there and trying to find ways but we're in the very back corner. Yeah, but she said that it was just a bunch of people jumping around chaotically singing badly.
Yeah, it's hilarious without the music. So we
get back. We're exhausted. She's like alright, let's finish everything up we need to do to get get ready to go. As we put our last thing in the bag, and get the last piece of paperwork we need for customs to get back into America. Phaedra says these words are you ready folks? This is what she says. I'm so glad none of us got sick on this trip. She said this eight hours before we had to get off the boat. Almost immediately as if the universe was saying ah, I get very sick
violently violently the point where both me and mom wake up. Yes to the sound.
I get violently ill and it lasted two days. I was very sick. It was either something I ate or just a combination of not sleeping and eating too much and dancing really hard for an hour accidentally twerking maybe it's my punishment for accidentally twerking.
God's punishing you for twerking?
Yeah no. So yeah, I I didn't I didn't enjoy the experience of having to go through customs while very sick. That was not a fun experience and then but yeah Phaedra Phaedra picked up my slack she she went and took care of all the custom stuff that had to be done but on the last day to get us ready to go. She drove the entire way home but an eight hour drive. We stopped at the same hotel
slightly worse this time.
Yeah, a little worse. This time. We had the the water was cold in the shower. I didn't get in the shower. I got in the shower, and I don't like hotel bathroom. It was very cold water. And I waited five minutes for it to warm up. And it didn't. So I was like up Guess I'm taking a cold shower because I had to take shower And I slept for about nine hours, got up, took a shower, and then went back to sleep for another seven hours. You fell asleep at three and got up the next morning woke
up at like eight. Yeah, but in the middle of the night I got up and I was like, still not feeling great. I was like, let me take a shower. Maybe that'll help but not hear you. I was passed out. Yeah, I went right back to bed. So it was a very, very bad trip home. But we're home now.
We did it. We did it. Drove the whole way. Yeah,
we're back on amazing back on track. And I'm feeling a lot better. I'm feeling a lot better. My brother Mike came to visit with his daughter got to see my nice. Yeah. And then we I've got my audition tomorrow, which is not great. Because as you can hear my voice is not back to normal. And it's a voice acting audition. So I'm going to take care of that tonight. I'm going to drink some more hot tea voices
back to normal. It's a little it can feel. I hear you every day. Right. So
so but yeah, I know this isn't like a fact episode. Oh, we did learn a couple fun facts. Our ship. Oh, tell about our show.
I learned this when we got back. I was on the car ride home. And I was just like looking up stuff about the cruise line. And our ship. We went on the freedom. And a thing about carnival. I was gonna say it. Carnival we went on. They have the whole thing about their ships is they have the steel. The smokestacks are like tail shaped. Got things sticking up. And then two things sticking out of that. Ours only had the things sticking up. So I thought that was like, oh, maybe it's an
older ship. Or maybe it's a newer ship, you know, you never know. So I looked it up when we got in the car looked up our boat. And about a year ago on May I think 26 or 23rd of last year. It burned down.
There's video of it. Well, are we I remember to put it on the show notes.
I found it. Yeah, I'll
put a note. Okay.
I burned down and I looked up a video of it. So that's not concerning at all. I thought we spent an entire week.
It was only version it was a year ago. And things do happen. They have safety protocols for everything you saw that you saw they have safety protocols for everything. Yeah. So but that was interesting. What else did we learn? We learned that there was once a lady on a carnival the same on a Carnival cruise ship that was not allowed to be on a Carnival cruise ship. And she really wanted to be on Carnival cruise ship. So she got onto the ship, but they couldn't leave with her
on the ship for whatever reason. And she put so she put wigs on.
Our cruise director came on on our trip but on the trip that she was on, and just set her name over and over and over and she came out and she didn't. They had to leave with her on the boat.
And they weren't sure if she was on the boat. Yes, they nobody could find her because she was running around hide and, and like getting from place to place with different wigs on she used
various wigs makeup outfits. This was just
amazing. Fantastic. But yeah, we had a great time. I know this isn't like a normal episode. But we we feel like a lot of our listeners, you know, again, you might enjoy hearing about it. For the Lincoln Jannat. Great. If you have any ideas for episodes for us to do if you have we're thinking about starting to do maybe guests. Yeah, yeah, I would love that. I think Andy who was our cruise director, I think he would be a
really fun guest. He was very good at q&a type stuff. I think he'd be a fun guest to have any could tell us all about cruisers. And you know, being a cruiser, or whatever.
He also said that the boat is fine, even if it tips 90 degrees.
Yeah, the boats can write themselves. Yeah, the boats can write themselves if they're up to 90 degrees so they can completely fall sideways, like falling and they'll bounce back up granite everything will fall over like everything. It'll be a disaster, but
it's it's
which is the main thing you don't want to do as a boat.
Other than burn down, but
well that would also sink it that's not fun. So if you are a person who knows a lot about a particular subject, or if you think you're entertaining enough to hang out with us for 30 minutes to an hour, on an episode on we pick the topic. Get in touch with us mail at FunFactFriday.com we start taking guests I think that'll be fun. I think it'll spice things up a little bit. episode. Yeah. What'd you say? 20 20% 40% 30% 12% 9% 2% That's gonna be more than 2% Do to Britain let's not get into the milk.
So why is it water?

she's got got a minor surgery, orthodontic surgery. And I think it'll be fine. He'll be fine. I think he's going to talk funny for a few days how to wear a
retainer for a little while. Yeah, little retainer on top of my mouth.
But the braces come in a few months. So you're gonna talk real funny for a little while if you get those in. Those episodes are going to be gold. What else? What else? My auditions tomorrow, so I'm gonna go take care of my voice for the rest of the night. And she's gonna be in surgery while I'm doing my audition. Just pour some honey down your throat.
