Episode description

Today’s episode is sort of a call back to our very first episode Toxic Aunties. There comes a time in some black women’s career history where their skepticism of corporate america outweighs their optimism. The veil of “I can outwork the system” is removed and reality sets in that the C-Suite often remains an undercooked mayo sausage party. For those that aren’t familiar we define Toxic Aunties as mature, seasoned black women co-workers who are most professional around their white counterparts but can be professionally immature, negative or territorial when dealing with younger or newer black women. As seasoned workers ourselves, today we want to do a little self reflection and offer tips on how to avoid becoming a Toxic Auntie.
