Leaving the Stuck Place - Introduction

No one plans a trip to go to a stuck place. It’s not on your bucket list and no travel agent offers it as an option for your next travel destination. The stuck places happen in our lives by way of unexpected detours and sometimes we get there by default. Stuck places are those places that we’ve planted roots down; we feel trapped, resigned to be where we are; unable to move, incapacitated; immobilized—hemmed up, and hemmed in. Though stuck places might happen unexpectedly, we have to be careful, because they can become comfortable unintentionally.
