Why Do You Connect to People? 

It takes just a little bit of planning to do it right  Going to networking and meetings is a great way to meet people, but not all meetings are the same.  Some people are your clients and others are just, well, people.   Mary Gaul talks about her favorite way to have good follow up.  Her tip, "it's great to have kind of a little checklist, like what do I want to do with new people? If it's just somebody I'm going to have as a contact, you know, then, you know, where do I want to put them in my CRM? Do I, you know, do I want to make sure that they're, I'm connected to them on whatever social media platform? Do I want to schedule another time to reach out and touch base with them?"  Make a plan before you meet people so you can wow them when you follow up.
