Single and Having a Baby On Your Own with Heather Olivadoti
Episode description
In this episode, I speak to Heather Olivadoti, about her choice to have a baby on her own. She is a 41 year old, paralegal and her little bundle of joy is 8.5 months old.
Heather has always known that she wanted a baby. Without a partner at the advanced maternal age, she decided to have the baby on her own. In our conversation, she shares the importance of a strong support system to help her get through the good times and the oh-so challenging moments.
A study by investigator Mathilde Breweays from the Centre of Expertise on Gender Dysphoria of the VU University Medical Centre, Amsterdam reported that "Single-mothers-by-choice and their children benefit from a good social support network".
