James Dooley: I am joined with James we're going to be talking about personal branding and also knowledge panels so why are they important first of all? Guest: So personal branding is massively important to get your knowledge panel it's also very very important for improving like the positivity on your brand setup which is actually your business card online so for me personal branding is key for making certain that your profile online is positive and it is what you want it to be saying so it's also acts as a huge reputation management tool as well. I kind of see it as almost like your shop window so if you've got like a broken shop window and there's just trash outside nobody's going to be attracted to come in and actually buy from you or inquire with you for your services or your product so I always think of it as it's kind of like a positive prior to somebody even clicking onto your website they can see oh James has five star reviews oh James has been listed on the Forbes oh you've been listed on XY and Z websites so it's it's almost as if like a it's increasing your conversion rate of somebody potentially looking to do business with you prior to them even jumping onto your website. James Dooley: Yeah yeah for sure I mean for myself personal branding has actually helped Elevate myself get lots of new investment opportunities that when people are coming and they try to find out who what business like's say we do quite a lot of lead generation not only they looking for the company and how good the company are at dealing with that situation they also want to know who owns it or who works within that organization so when they're going searching for James Dooley which I've got a knowledge panel set up for an entrepreneurship that entrepreneurship knowledge panel is massively being boosted via my personal branding PR that I've had done via Jam Prime so a massive shout out to John Pron who's helped me hugely get my knowledge panel and and help me with my personal branding PR check out the link in the description there's a testimonial for Jam Prime there but me obviously you yourself and me watch your kind of feedback with Jam PR one thing I'll say that sticks out is the fact that they spend quite a lot of time like interviewing you getting like finding out the facts basically about you because it's very it's I say very easy to get a knowledge panel it's not but I think if you have a good story then obviously Jam Prime go out to all the all the PR publication sites and then they pitch that story if if you can align yourself with a good story and build a trustworthy brand for yourself it's going to go a lot more than just get having a knowledge panel as well. Guest: Yeah for sure yeah so if anyone is looking for personal branding agency I highly recommend Jam Prime the Ben Nichols who's the founder is a great guy who works within there um he also works Jam Press but back onto the personal branding PR side of things has there been any times that your own knowledge panel and your own personal brand setup has managed to help you win more business does it help you with kind of trust online like what what's your key benefits for that brand setup? James Dooley: To try and get that obviously if you ever had any negative reviews you want to sync those negative reviews not that you have any but if you ever did get any you want to make sure and you can control that brand setup so for personal branding for anyone that doesn't have a personal brand can you explain the reason of why it's very important to get that to be a positive brand setup and why someone should be looking to get personal branding PR behind him? Guest: Yeah so I I don't know about yourself but even if let's say we're looking for hiring a business coach right typically speaking you might have a few names in the back of your head you might say okay I'm going to hire James Dooley but prior to actually hiring James Dooley the business coach or the fractional CMO or whatever you're probably going to want to go and look at some case studies look where he's been published if he's been published on let's say Forbes or the Independent and everybody's ranting and raving about the fractional CMO or the business coach then you're probably more inclined to want to work with that person. I don't know about yourself but that's typically what you do. James Dooley: Yeah for sure yeah anyone who's watching this let us know what you think with regards to personal branding have you used a personal branding agency to do the PR for yourself leave a comment in the comment section and let us know what you think to whether it's worthwhile and whether it's worth it. I think it's definitely worth and I think it's good value for money in hiring a personal branding PR agency I'm certainly going to keep expanding on on using Jam Prime so are you what about yourself? Guest: Yeah definitely.
