It can be tough getting through a holiday when you feel like you have no family, especially your kids. It’s extra tough when it’s your first time doing it. In this week’s episode, Jen and Allison talk about ways to celebrate the holiday season when you don’t have your kids. We’ve learned that if you open your mind to some other traditions and plan with intentionality, you can actually enjoy the variety of celebrating, in the more traditional ways with our children and in new ways that work for YOU in those “off” years. They may have a different feel, but that can be a good thing. And by expanding our definition of “family,” we may realize we’re not quite as alone as we think. We’ll be taking a brief holiday hiatus, but we’ll be replaying some our favorite episodes from Season 1, so we’ll still be around. Whatever you celebrate this holiday season, we hope it’s wonderful, joyous, and peaceful!
