How does God want to use you in 2018?
“If people are in crisis and the world is in crisis and there are situations where people need redemption… it requires leadership. And your leadership requires your presence. Your presence requires convictions. Your convictions require character. And then your character is expressed in your contribution.”
“Now, would you say this with me? Confession is not manly. It’s Godly. You don’t look to the culture to get your cues on how you do life. You look to the Bible. And the Bible says that we confess. And that God wants us to be honest with him, honest with ourselves, and honest with others. And when we do that, that’s Godliness.”
“To be clean, I have to come clean. God will use anybody. He’ll use a cracked pot. He’ll use a jar of clay. But he does require that the jar be clean. That the vessel be clean. And the only way to get clean is to come clean. And that’s why it’s now time for aggressive confession”
“You express those convictions in real time in real situations in real relationships in front of real temptations and real opportunities to compromise and you choose to love God and love people. And every time that you choose to love God and love people every decision that you make then contributes to your intuition. Then you develop a great gut.”
“When people come to us for leadership how are we going to direct them? From what well of identity that has convictions do we give advice? We’re bad advisors if we have weak convictions. And let me tell you something, the world is in need of men who have the right convictions who give the right advice.”

Can you imagine 300 million activated Christian men living out in the character of Christ in this world? We’d turn it upside down. Jesus needed twelve. And he’s coming. Make no mistake.”
“You have energy and God wants to use your energy. But it needs to have the right motive. If you’re God’s man, that’s your pursuit! Because to be aggressive means to pursue! What are you pursuing? You’re pursuing God’s heart first and foremost. God, who are you? What do you like? What do you dislike? What do you say is good? What do you say to avoid? What do you say to embrace?.”
“In the church, you got a bunch of Ken dolls. Do you know what you see when you pull the pants down on a Ken doll? Nothing! And yet, evil is triumphing all over the world. Broken male culture is making suffer all over the world. And yet, there are probably 300 million God’s men and how many pastors would love to go and make a phone call to their land of Tob.”
“I’m telling you to be good at your relationships, you need to rest, you need to eat right, you need to exercise. Why? God needs you to be strong. Strong for him. Strong in your walk. Strong to reach out. Strong for your relationships. Strong for your kids. Able to commit energy to his purposes and your relationships.”
“If doing life right means doing relationships right. If doing relationships right means loving. If being loving means practicing unselfishness, we need to experience in our own lives and possess it before we can give it away. And the best way to experience it is to have a relationship with Christ, the one who gave it all up.”

“If you’re looking to learn how to be unselfish you gotta build strong relationships. Where do you learn that? Whether you’re ok at it or whether you never learned how to do it. You learn that in the family of God where both the father is and the model is in Jesus Christ.”
“You see, you can give up your right to get even because God settles the score. The reason He can is because His character is perfect. He’s good, and loving, and just. He has the character to settle the score without mixed motives. You, on the other hand, have a conflict of interest.”
“See, there’s a difference between happy relationships and healthy relationships. Health relationships have conflict and know how to do forgiveness. Happy relationships minimize the offense and resume the relationship while all of these trailing asteroids and issues are being dragged by the issue through the relationship. And guess what. Those rocks pile up.”
“A reflecting man is a connecting man. When you are a good self reflector. When you are able to look at yourself in the mirror first. And you’re honest with yourself and you do inventory in the same area that you are addressing in the relationship- trust me - that conversation will go ten times better.”
“Here’s a little mathematical formula- truth plus tact, plus timing equals transformation. You want your relationship to change? You’re gonna have to resolve conflict well. You gotta plan when you’re going to say stuff. What you’re going to say. How you say it. And truth plus tact plus timing equals a transformed relationship.”
“You’re filled with love or you’re filled with anger. And whatever is dominating your insides will leak on the outsides and dominate your interactions with people… at work, with your neighbor, with the person that needs you, with your wife, with your kids, it’s just going to leak out. So guess what? You gotta fill up on love.”
