Launched in 2006 as About The Church, this podcast has evolved over nearly two decades into a sacred space for authentic spiritual exploration, transformation, and awakening.
Hosted by Cliff Ravenscraft, Encouraging Others Through Christ speaks directly to those navigating deconstruction, spiritual awakening, and the deep remembrance of divine truth.
This isn’t a Christian podcast in the traditional sense. It’s a Christ-centered transmission rooted in Presence, not performance. Here, no question is off limits. No belief is untouchable. And no path is too unconventional to be holy.
A note about the archives (Episodes 001–134):
These earlier episodes were recorded during Cliff’s time within evangelical Christianity. While they reflect a different theological lens than the one he holds today, they are preserved in full as sacred breadcrumbs, a living record of his evolving relationship with God. What you’ll hear is a heart that was always seeking truth, even when the language was different. These episodes are not outdated, they are foundational. They reveal the journey, not just the destination.
From Episode 135 onward, the podcast continues with a renewed frequency, exploring Christ consciousness, mysticism, intuition, Light Language, inner child healing, and the deeper, esoteric teachings of Jesus. Cliff shares personal reflections, courageous questions, and soul-anchored conversations with guests who have walked their own winding paths through awakening and deconstruction.
Whether you’re in the midst of spiritual transition, emerging from inherited faith systems, or simply hungry for a voice that speaks to your deepest knowing, Encouraging Others Through Christ is here to say:
You are not alone.
You are not broken.
And you don’t have to hide anymore.
This podcast is for those who still love Jesus but no longer know how to explain it.
For those who long to follow the voice within, and trust it is the voice of God.
Encouraging Others Through Christ is not here to tell you what to believe.
It’s here to remind you that you already know.

(Updated Show Notes - May 2025) Episode 012 – The Mighty Tongue Originally recorded: Summer 2006 This episode is one of the most personal and convicting I recorded in the early days of this podcast. I reflect on the power of the tongue—how it can be a rudder, a spark, a flame, or a dagger. I read from James 3, share a bit about criticism I had recently received, and get honest about my own history of using truth as a shield… and sometimes a sword. You’ll hear me wrestle with: The temptation to c...
(Updated Show Notes - May 2025) Episode 011 – What’s in a Song? Originally recorded: July 18, 2006 Part of the Almost Daily Devotional series This episode is a little different. I don’t teach. I don’t analyze. I just… pause. I was reminded of how easy it is to get caught up in thoughts, ideas, and content—especially when creating podcasts about faith. But sometimes, what’s needed most isn’t another thought. It’s a song. I read a short scripture from Psalm 30, and then I play a song I found calle...
(Updated Show Notes - May 2025) Episode 010 – Can We Trust It? Originally recorded: July 17, 2006 Part of the Almost Daily Devotional series This devotional was born from a question that still echoes in many hearts today: Can we trust the Bible? At the time of this recording, I was passionate about helping people see the credibility of scripture—especially the New Testament Gospels. I wanted believers to feel confident in what they were reading. I wanted skeptics to at least explore the source b...
(Updated Show Notes - May 2025) Episode 009 – Only If You Like Them Originally recorded: July 17, 2006 Part of the Almost Daily Devotional series This episode was a mirror. One I didn’t expect to look into. I share a clip from Donald Miller that hit me straight in the heart: “Nobody will listen to you unless they know you like them.” That may sound obvious. But I realized… I hadn’t been living that way. In this devotional, I confess how for years: I only pursued relationships with people who val...
(Updated Show Notes -May 2025) Episode 008 – Other People Exist Originally recorded: July 17, 2006 Part of the Almost Daily Devotional series This episode centers on a simple phrase that rocked me when I first heard it from Donald Miller at a conference in 2005: “Other people exist.” At first, it made me laugh. But then… it made me see . In this devotional, I share: Why this truth—though obvious—was one I had been blind to The dangers of seeing yourself as the main character in every story How e...
(Updated Show Notes - May 2025) Episode 007 – Who Are Your Friends? Originally recorded: July 17, 2006 Part of the Almost Daily Devotional series This episode was sparked by a clip from author Donald Miller, who shared a statistic that stunned me: Within six months of becoming a Christian, most people lose all meaningful relationships with those who aren’t believers. Someone told me that was good news. I told them it was heartbreaking. In this devotional, I reflect on: Why the early church didn’...
(Updated Show Notes - May 2025) Episode 006 – The Best Question Ever Originally recorded: July 16, 2006 Part of the Almost Daily Devotional series In this episode, I shared one of the most helpful frameworks I had encountered at the time for navigating gray areas in life and faith—a tool I learned from a message by Andy Stanley called Fool Proof. It centers around a single, reflective question: “In light of my past experience, my current circumstances, and my future hopes and dreams—what is the ...
(Updated Show Notes - May 2025) Episode 005 – Why Do We Run? Originally recorded: July 16, 2006 This episode introduced what I called the Almost Daily Devotional —a space where I shared short, spontaneous reflections that came from the middle of life, not the pages of a plan. The insight I shared here came while doing the dishes. Makenna, our youngest at the time (just 16 months old), had done what she often did in those days: she’d wandered into the bathroom, taken something she wasn’t supposed...
(Updated Show Notes - May 2025) Episode 004 – Interview with Dr. Ralph Neighbour: A Vision Beyond the Walls Originally recorded: July 17, 2006 Back in 2006, I had the honor of interviewing someone who deeply shaped my vision for what church could be—Dr. Ralph W. Neighbour Jr., known globally as a father of the cell church movement. In this episode, Ralph shares his bold departure from traditional church life in 1969 and the theological discoveries that led him to develop and champion a model of ...
(Updated Show Notes - May 2025) Episode 003 – What Is a Cell Church? Originally recorded: July 11, 2006 This episode was one of the most passionate teachings I ever recorded during the early years of this podcast. Back then, I was deeply immersed in the world of “cell group ministry”—small, relational communities within the church focused on transformation through life together. In this episode, I break down what a cell group is, how it differs from traditional models of church, and why I believ...
Show Notes: (Updated in May 2025) This is the only publicly available recording of a sermon I preached from a church pulpit. It was May 7, 2006. I stood in front of the congregation of a church that—at the time—I was fully invested in. I was part of the leadership. I was co-leading Bible studies, small groups, helping shape ministry initiatives. I took the platform seriously. I studied. I prayed. I prepared. I wanted to honor God with every word I spoke. In this message, you’ll hear me preach fr...
(Updated Show Notes -May 2025) Episode 001 – Worship, Doctrine, and the Journey Toward Relationship Originally recorded: April 23, 2006 This was the very first episode of what was then called Generally Speaking About The Church . It holds the frequency of a new beginning—of a deep desire to finally speak publicly about faith, spiritual formation, and the evolving conversation around what it means to walk with God. In this episode, I sat down with my friend and worship leader Alex Diaz. What bega...
This isn’t a typical introduction episode. It’s a full remembrance. Recorded in June 2023—17 years after this podcast began—this foundational episode offers a raw, unfiltered, deeply personal retelling of my lifelong spiritual journey. From Catholic mass to Pentecostal altar calls. From fear-based indoctrination to mystical awakening. From institutional leadership to walking with Christ outside the walls. If you're the kind of person who likes to go back to the beginning… this is where I recomme...
