Episode description

Today we're talking about emotional parentification, which is the role-reversal of parent and child so that the child is providing emotional support to the adult in an inappropriate way. This can include confiding in kids for deep emotional wounding, substance recovery, or even spousal support. I share some of my story related to this idea and point out some of the coping strategies and their links to the Enneagram.
