Mount Gambier Crater Lakes Fires

On the 25th of January 2022, Mount Gambier woke up to something we were not expecting. Our much loved Crater Lakes area was on fire. The fire was eventually brought under control with the hard work of 150 fire crew but not before burning 50 hectares of grass and scrub. 

In this episode we discuss the role of Council in an event such as this, the road forward to recovery, and uncover the history of previous fires at the same site.
