I used to work at an indie movie theater/cafe in Downtown San Jose during college. It was an eclectic mix of artists, designers, writers, budding film makers, and musicians. Besides the random films we showed, we were allowed to play whatever CD’s (yea I said CD’s) we wanted. So I would make CD mixes of songs, give them themes, and play them in the cafe. When I came to NYC, one of my main goals was to learn how to house dance. I thought I knew when I came here but in about 5 minutes at my first house club I got schooled real quick! That was six years ago and I am still learning new moves and grooves even now. I also got more into the music and the various soulful sounds. Just that soft warm fun feeling of a good track.
