Too four Best Film, and number Jeremy Harrison Huge. So you mentioned something about thinking it was funny that they got writer's credit and considering you wrote this, like, can you elaborate on that frustration, because I agree you obviously should be a part that part of it really wasn't what I guess frustrated me the most because they did write it. Jeremy is a screen right, That's what he does. He's a playwriter, that's what he does. That's you know,

his niche. I don't have that. I can tell you my experience and we can talk about it, but you know, it did take that team effort. So I wasn't upset with that. I was upset at the fact that from UM, and this has been from the beginning. I'm talking like from filming, UM, they've kind of just excluded me in

certain physical parts of it. For example, when we first started filming, they sent me the film schedule the last like three days of filming, like, oh, by the way, these are the last three days you may want to come down mind you. I knew we were filming this month, but I didn't know the days, the times where like, And they sent me that the last three days, like come on down where you promised to be on set? I mean I didn't think we needed to talk about it, like,

uh no forecasting. Did she get any of your mannerisms? Absolutely, like that's like my soul. So we talked, Yeah, that was very much manifestation, like why do you want to tell your girl to pull up? But no, I mean it's notthing like that, so we can't necessarily William Taylor, but I am curious and interested. I didn't round on TV show and kind of thought I would get to

be in the editing bay. I thought I would get to be able to see episodes before they aired, and I didn't really understand that it wasn't like that when they when you were on So what did they tell you? What involvement were you supposed to have? Because this is your life, right well, I mean basically the conversations that we had where I would be fully involved, I mean in all aspects like and when we started filming, they were gonna send me the schedule, they were gonna let

me know. You know, I was gonna get all those details. And so I have been. I had my manager who's my mom um, contacting them constantly and they were just like playing so busy. And then, like I said, I got it the last three days. So then when I finally seen the film, I sat down with Jennik said, Jeremy, um, my mom, and we had a little private screening in l A. And um. When I finally seen it, then I found out through them that there's this guy who

got writer's credit. Not this part pisses me off. His name is David Kushner. He's the guy who did the Rolling Stone article in two thousand fifteen, one of the Krishna Krishnas so that's the names. And he came out and he did the Rolling Stone interview in two thousand and fifteen, and I showed him the Hooters we met at and worked at and we talked like don't know, ten hours or something crazy, and um, so that that

was that. That was the last time I've seen him, though, well I find out he was on set the whole time and brought his whole family, Like look what I did, Like who is this white man? Like who are you? And so you know, that kind of upset me. And then that's the writing credit that bothers me because his name is like right by mine. And I'm not understanding really what he did in terms of the movie, Like I don't understand what he did. I don't know what he did for me. I mean I really like didn't

have to do the Rolling Stone article. I mean, you're welcome with you a part of at all. Pitching that part of the story now, it was like some weird logistics where um, no one's ever been able to like own tweets, if that makes sense that you can't own a tweet or you can't or a photo you post on Instagram now right, So it's like for them to make this into a film. It's like the source material has to have some type of ownership, and with Twitter being the source material, you can't own it, if that

makes sense. So the closest that we could get to owning those exact words and phrases in that scenario was the Rolling Stone article. Wow right, not not multiple that's crazy. But it's your story and you don't own it because you tweeted it. Right. But it's like I said, it's I do. But what someone do that they basically tweeted and then direct you to another site? No, they don't tweet you know. I'm saying, how could you protect yourself

from this? I mean moving forward? Now, I would say you own it, you copyright it, you put it to a website that you own, don't post it to social media. When you join those social media sites, it says that whatever goes on here is not owned by you. It's

now open for everyone. I just know. Could go into a gallery and artists can blow up your Instagram pictures, take it to a gallery and you kid, oh, thank you for um, you're everything that you pass on Instagram could literally go up into a gallery and there's nothing you can do. So do you think that maybe it's given the impression that they almost want to be like, you're lucky we involved. You know, maybe for someone else with that kind of energy wouldn't work with me. Of

course that I got my goals from Detroit. Even even in the beginning of the process, it was like because they were kind of doing that um and that's why I took my time, Like I wrote it in two thousands fifteen, but we didn't like sign contracts into two thou seventeen, and then we didn't begin in filming and

have a director until like two thousand and eight. It was like I took my sweet time because you know, they were like dangling cute little numbers and stuff in front of me, and I was like, that's a cute number. But there was like no percentages talks in the room, so until it was until it made sense to me, like it didn't even have to be a thing really understood.

So so as far as depiction, Mandy said that the screening, she mentioned that you said you were happy with the depiction, which is great, but I was not happy and I wanted more. Did you hear that people were like what I know? I know that was kind of the point though, because and like you said, if you you were there to read it the threats, so like you know, that's not even where it really ended, you know what I'm saying. So we were kind of leaving room for for that purpose.

What can a club do to make you feel safe? Unsafe?
