Should you use UBER EATS? | Let's Talk about EP. 10 ft. Dai Le & Cathy Ngo
Episode description
The coronavirus pandemic has not only seen a surge in online food orders via popular platforms such as Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Menulog but it has also seen more restaurants turn to on-demand food delivery as a way to connect with customers.
But did you know that Uber Eats charges restaurants on their platform a commission fee of 30%? Despite the fact that Uber Eats has dropped the fee by 5% in May this year, many restaurants argue that the commission of 30% was still not sustainable for restaurants with many restaurant owners taking matters into their own hand and opting to deliver the food themselves or encouraging customers to pick up food.
On this episode of our #LetsTalkAbout series our show hosts Dai Le and Cathy Ngo explore the different views on food delivery platforms.
