KEY NOTES:  

1. It takes ~10% of our thoughts

2. "Pushing" each other (rather than just giving a positive encouragement) helps to generate more activity

3. Each person's activity among others generates more activity among others

4. Social media can lead to both diminishing self-esteem and reinforcing it, depending on the person  


AWARENESS ALERT: do you compare yourself more often with those who are "better" than you? If yes, think of if it as one of the reasons that stops you and puts you down. 


HOW TO BE LESS VULNERABLE TO PAIN OF COMPARISON? 

1. Notice events/people who prompt the behavior

2. Commit to being DEEPLY GRATEFUL for WHAT'S GOOD in YOUR LIFE

3. Remember that desiring smth what other's have is such a waste of time until it's smth truly meaningful like kindness and generosity
