What does it mean to be a Black woman in America today? America has never been a safe place for Black women yet somehow we are truly the backbone of this country. We are the givers and doers. #SayHerName and the current buzzword, Intersectionality, were both brought to our attention by Dr. Kimberle Cresnhaw- a Black woman. How many other contributions have Black women made that many do not know about? We will no longer be invisible. In today’s episode, we say the names of Black women who were killed by the police. We also say the names of a few of the many Black women who have contributed to the advancements of this nation. Lady, we want you to know showing up and being your authentic self is possible. Make note of the tips provided and let’s all use this time to uplift one another.
