Episode description

With the release of two COVID-19 vaccines we’re one step closer to pre-pandemic life. However, after months inside, our social skills may be a bit rusty. Social isolation during the pandemic can have surprising effects on the brain. Research suggests our social skills may be suffering. CNN’s Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta talks to University of Chicago Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience Stephanie Cacioppo about how and why this is happening. This episode originally aired on Sept. 15.
