Episode description

Continuing the Dollar Movie Finds with Rehearsal For Murder(1982), an early television movie role for Jeff Goldblum, about a playwright who gathers people together for a readthrough of his latest work. They soon discover his real motivation is trying to discover which one of them killed his fiancé last year.

And because there wasn't a whole lot to say about that film you get a bonus movie this week, Dead and Buried(1981). Everyone who passes through a small Maine town are brutally murdered by the locals. The local sheriff is baffled by the amount of violent deaths in such a small community and slowly uncovers a conspiracy involving black magic, and his own unwitting ties to it. Featuring early special effects work by Stan Winston(Jurassic Park, Aliens, Terminator) and a script by Dan O'Bannon(Alien, Return of the Living Dead, Total Recall) it's an overlooked horror classic.
