A couple guys gone in my ear that are in the truck and go ea, And I was like, what they go, That's that's the play. That's some other fucking play. That's the play. And I love that. He said in his postgame with you, he was like, oh, that was my longest run, only thirty three, where you're like, bro, what a fucking run? Exactly. Calm Down with Aaron and Carissa is a production of iHeartRadio. Welcome everybody to the com If any of you guys missed the pre games week,
you might want to go back and listen. It's worth a shot. I was really really self duprecation in the best form. I mean, I did this podcast already. Take this over the other day with this girl and podcast. You look like you have so much confidence on air and then yet when you talk about yourself, you absolutely
rip yourself apart, and I'm like, I'm not doing that. Yes, I mean I feel like we all have our insecurities, but all really go someplace in my head, which we talked about in the pregame show with like my interview with Patrick Mahomes. Patrick Mahomes did nothing wrong. It was he didn't He was adorable he was amazing. Actually, Chris and I want to talk about this, and we've done it before. We don't get to cover him very much. We don't get the Chiefs very much because we do
predominantly NFC games on Fox. So when we get the Chiefs, it feels like the super Bowl even though it's a regular season game. They are so nice, they're so accommodating. It's cool to see their guys because we don't get to see them, and it almost feels like you geek out a little bit more because we had a shot of him coming in and it's our game, and I'm like, God, it was the same way when you had Brady because you never had a lot of Patriots games or you
had Peyton Manning. It's like when you have a generation, don't get that. Yeah, right, So Rair exactly forget them. And also, I'm going to say this too about Patrick. It was kind of a crazy week for us. Kevin had baseball. Chrisen knows this whole story. You know, Tom's doing his thing, and so we weren't going to get Patrick on a call, and the Chiefs were so nice enough to say, hey, you know what, he's got ten
minutes I'll put him on a call with you. And I was like with me, and they were like, well, yeah, like for the game, and I just was telling Chris, I just how much that means to me. Listen, these guys do it all the time, but I don't know. It's still I think, kind of a pinch me moment when you can get like somebody like him, he's the face of our league on the phone for ten minutes. It was really freaking cool. And my whole thing is if you don't think that, then you've gotten a little
like comfortable in the whole thing. It doesn't matter because should always and Patrick doesn't make you feel that way because he's so likable and cool and casual, but like you should still get excited to talk to, like I said, when you covered Brady or when yeah, Patrick, or covering baseball when I used to pee myself. If I had to interview Derek Jeter. It's like literally a certain mount rushmore of players where you're like, it's cool and you should be excited, But it says a lot about who
he is and the Chiefs doing that because so cool. Yeah, so Aaron and full disclosure. I people ask all the time, do you get nervous at all with your job. I do. I get nervous every single first hit I have. I feel like I've never done it before. We've talked about here on the show where I've almost like blanked out a few times. And even my call with Patrick that's not on camera, it's totally on the phone. I've got my notes in front of me, and I'm recording it
so I can go back and transcribe. I had to be in my room forty five minutes before to just go over and practice and catch up. It's just different when you get different guys, and I think it's cool
to feel that way or whatever. So Chris and I in the pregame show, we're talking a little bit about my postgame interview, and because I'm such a huge sports fan and I'm so excited, and because we don't get to see them a lot, I was excited when he walked over and I was like, Hey, so good to see you, because I hadn't seen him in the pregame of that game. And I just started thinking to myself, my god, I have so much makeup on right now.
I look tired. I haven't really slept. God, I put a lot of perfume on Is he thinking about this? And I've played this whole thing in my head and it was so stupid. No, but that's what we do.
I mean, I made the comment that I have there's so much lighting on the Thursday night football set, which makes me so happy that like I won't go down onto the field to say hi to guys because I'm like, I look great up here, so I'm gonna stay up here and it won't go down there because there's not filler light because when you're in that stadium, the overhead lighting. That was my thing too. I preferred back in my
day of being a sideline reporter. I loved an outdoor stadium, even if there was weather or all that kind of stuff, because I always felt like dome lighting I worked. Now, keep in mind, this was me having to work like every game at Ford Field. Now I wish I worked every game at Ford Field, given how great they are, But I just remember every game I was like, oh God, the lighting and here is so bad, Like I look terrible. New Orleans lighting is a little tough. Nothing against their stadium.
I was just doing their stadium out. It's just a little tough. It's we're talking about from a superficial you need that filler light situation. But anyways, Week seven another one for the books. You have to I believe we're on week eight now. It's going by so fast, so fast,
so fast. You had a great game, I know obviously just mentioned that we don't get the Chiefs very often on Fox, but you had a Super Bowl rematch, which was the first time ever Fox has had a Super Bowl rematch from really yeah, from a Super Bowl that was theirs like for that matchup. So that matchup was back in twenty twenty. So takeaways obviously, the Niners still working through a bunch of injuries. Brandon Ayuk, what's the latest on him? Do we know? Ry? What do we know?
Is it? They're saying acl but have they confirmed it? I think that was the fear in Kyle's sing or that oh awful, Yeah, awful, awful, awful. So yeah, a lot of stuff they're trying to work with, work through with injuries. And then on the other side of things, you know we talked about coming into the game, it's not the same Chiefs team. They lost two wide receivers going in, they're working in new pieces. They lose juju
in the middle of the game. But the one thing I felt like Tom Brady kept saying in our game, they continue to go forward. This is one thing geek out time, geek go talk well, geek out time, we should have like a little like a little sound that happens from the geek out or not. We'll workshop that, okay. Well. In our production meeting the night before, Brady kind of gives us thoughts, which is pretty cool to hear him do about Patrick Mahomes and now they just's won three
super Bowls? Where are you in your life? Anyways, he was talking about this matchup and he was just saying, you know, this matchup, like the Super Bowl matchup, it comes down to one play. That's exactly what Patrick had said to me in our in our call, he just said, you know, extreme focus is one of the biggest keys for me because with a matchup like this and a team like this, it always comes down to one play that will decide the game and you never know what
it is. So we all talked about it in the in the production meeting, and then that was my first hit in the open. Excuse my friend, that motherfucking thirty three yard run. That he had where he faked the guy out. Look, you know, stopped, did his thing. That's the play. That's the fucking play that gets him down there.
Then it's you know he obviously then third down happens, fourth and one, it's him just runs it and BOP's defender like, that was the play, and I love it so much because we're so tight in our crew and like a couple guys gone in my ear that are in the truck and go ea, And I was like, what they go that that's the play. That's some other
fucking play. That's the play, and I love that. He said in his post game with you, he was like, oh, that was my longest run, only thirty three, where you're like, bro, what a fucking run. Exactly a thirty three yard run for a quarterback. I mean like, look, there's the Lamar Jackson's of the world. We know Patrick his ability to run. I was like watching that though, I'm like, this guy after all the like whether it's the shovel passes, the side arms, like, he just continues to make plays and
it is. It's so we are so lucky. So like to watch him as a fan, but also cover him right now because of what they're doing and the fact that this is the first time that he's six and zero in his career and they're not playing their best football and they're relying for the first like well, I shouldn't say the first time. They're relying on their defense
to make up for the offensive efficiencies. And that's got If I'm a Kansas City Chiefs fan, I gotta be excited, because I'm like exciting we're six and oh and like we don't even have all of our guys you talk about, you know, different injuries that they've dealt with where she writes Checo like these guys have gone down to have different find different ways. But yeah, it's exciting. It's one of the many reasons that we love covering the sport
for the people, for the storylines. Good for Jared Goff. I don't think Jared Goff even get like this dude hasn't thrown an interception in the last three games. They put up forty points back to back last week or this against the Vikings. I think they almost scored forty again. Like they're playing such good football, so exciting, and look, if you're a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, I know there was a lot of conversation about you just stick with Justin Fields or let Russell Wilson go in and see what
he can do. I was happy for Mike Tomlin last night and that fan base to just see, you know, there's a lot of reasons to be optimistic for them. I don't know, it's football is yeah yet? Because fine, we have the Vikings and the Rams this week for our Thursday night football game. So a couple good things about that. It's a home game, which is kind of nice, and now travel comes at a great time midway through the season because then we're East Coast centric after this.
But Rams are another interesting one. Cooper Cup hopefully going to play in this one. We know that that NFC West Division no one's taking it. Like, I know, Seattle won against the Falcons, but they had been on a three game skid, so I don't know. It's just interesting when you look at these divisions, there's like not like any of them are just like clearcut to the top right,
Did I lose you you're watching TV? I was just looking at another defensive player that I absolutely adore, Sexy Dexi and a chunky beefad knock it off, knock it off. I'm gonna give a shout out to Lawrence is who are you talking about? Sexy DEXI wait, did I miss the Sexy DEXI dance? Anyways, Chris Jones from the Kansas City Chiefs. I talked a little bit about it on the pregame show. Also spoke with him on the phone. Hilarious,
what a guy. I was so bummed. I told you this when we had our Aaron and I had our download call on Sunday night, where I was like, oh,
maybe that was that? Was it Friday Saturday night? You know? Anyways? Whatever, Yeah, because I was feeling good after my dinner with the pregame boys at Craig's, a couple drinks, and this is what happens that I call you and we download and I can't remember if I told you the story or not, but was excited that I was going to sit down with him for NFL Films and didn't get to so tell me everything again. He's us. I was giving him a hard time as soon as he came on the call.
I said, you know what, screw New Heights, which don't make that a post. We love New Heights. By the way, that clip about the shirt. I can't take it. Rying actually mentioned it on the sidelines as Zach Guy's getting ready to go in and play. I'm like, hey, nice shirt, Like whatever, shut up. He's like, worried about the game. You're so stupid, Aaron God. So anyways, I just said to Chris enough with New Heights, you know, like, come on, calm down. I said, we want to have you on.
We're huge fans. And he's like, have your people call me again. I'll call all the people to get Chris Jones because we can talk a little football gossip. I said, all we want to do is gossip with you. He is great, great, also like could crush you, Like I always love that though, when it's like those defensive guy I mean not even defensive, but like a offensive lineman like Trent Williams, You're like, these guys are massive human beings and could crush, but they're like also so lovable.
I remember thinking that about Palais Campbell all the time, like just that deep baritone voice. And then he's like, I'm the Walter Payton Man of the Year and I'm the nicest person on the planet. Treon Williams, I mean, I know, things got a little crazy at the end, but I'm literally on the field pregame. He's one of my favorites. We've talked about it before. Jared's calling me face timing me with Mac and I just was like, Trent, hold on one second, I call Mackie Babes. We'll get
one of Moy's favorite players. He's like, what's up, my dude? Like just so cute, the best guys. So where are you this week? Your hometown? I'm going to Seattle for Josh Allen in the Buffalo Bills. That's exciting. Oh wait, that's this matchup for you, Bill Seahawks. Seahawks coming off to win Bill's. I was also at Mark Cooper his first catch was a touchdown with his new squad, So that'll be great. Also, you love the hotel. We won't say it, but you love the hotel you stay at
there where Seattle? Yeah great? Yeah, we don't have a we don't have a restaurant. I wish I could give you a suggestion. It's like, yeah, you're bad at that. I'm terrible, you know that. Not ever to come to me for restaurants. Right, I'm at McDonald's. My favorite first restaurant, but I can ask around. Let me ask, sure, where did you guys go when you were there? Because I came in late. I came in late Wednesday night because run Actually, term's a good one. Yeah, do you mind? Now?
What do you mean? Do I mind? He was at your game, even a big, big hug Steve. I was standing there talking to them. Great to see them, John Lynch as well. Do you know what the weather's going to be like? Because I know that we also like to see. Oh are you excited? You've had some hurricane smoking games? You just had the one, uh, I know, San So and then you had the same San Francis one hundred degrees a couple of weeks before that. I'm really hoping that did it for hot games. I'm ready
to put on me too. We say that I'm not ready to throw my nose thirty five times in the middle of a game, but I'm excited to just not have to o d you know the players on my perfume because because stink rot. Yeah, how's Aaron Andrews. She looks really old and my god, she's like she got out of a cologne bath. About there. I'm watching this show right now. If you guys haven't watched it shrinking with tell me about because it's the night Sagal, Steven Sagall?
Is it Jason Sagal or Jason Siegel? I think it's Siegel right, so funny Harrison Ford, What a great show this is. I don't know why no one suggested this to me before, or I guess it has two seasons. I saw him do an interview on The Today Show, and then Steve the same night was like randomly was like, hey, I heard this shows good watching. It is such a feel good show. The writing on it is fantastic. But anyways, it just I bring this up because it's on Apple.
I bring it up because, uh, he goes, he goes he's going to get into an uber and he like opens up the door and it's like a waft of cologne and he's like, WHOA, you like the cologne? Or he goes, you like cologne? I guess, and then he like gets in the car. It's not funny. You have to watch it. Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I don't know if that was the show or if it was Vince Vaughn saying that on Bad Monkey. I started to watch that too, but I need to get
into it either way. It's funny, so funny. We didn't talk about New Orleans yet, and that was really exciting. You've seen Sean Payton and I was pump about that interview and ended up looking good. I thought, it's great. Okay, I'll tell exactly. I'll tell our loyal listeners here my breakdown. Okay. So I was very excited to sit down with Sean again. Worked with Sean at Fox for the one year that he took off from coaching after New Orleans before he
went to Denver. And as Aaron and I have hopefully articulated better than my story about the uber, we don't ever want to bother these guys. I mean, they're getting ready for a game. Okay, this is the National Football League. It's not like, hey, can you come sit down with me as soon as you land nine thirty at night? Nine thirty at night. He's going to Land from Denver and he's gonna have more meetings. I mean he sent me his schedule like they're back to back to back
to backup stuff. Sean was kind enough to make time to sit down, so sweet. Uh. We I walk in and normally I am like, I ask a lot of questions about features because it's something that I really enjoyed doing. And so I don't like to think I'm myself as a micromanager, but I am when it comes to features, because I want to know what side I'm sitting on. I want to know what the background is. I want to know if my outfit is going to blend in
with the background. Your face, it's your name. Didn't ask any questions in this particular one, and so when I walked into this setup, I was like, I wish I would have done this. I wish I would have done I was having a lot of Carissa, this is why you ask questions, and this is why you prepare and don't just show up to something and think like the world's going to revolve around you and make you look great. So I vented to you and I was like, I
should have asked more questions. I should have done this. So I was freaking out. Not freaking out, that's dramatic. I was annoyed at myself that I didn't do the normal things that I do to put me in a position to have success. Because again, if you're going to do these features and the person's going to take time out of their schedule. You want it to look great. Anyways, shout out to my cues and making sure it all
looked great. But Okay, was worried because again going back to lighting and all sorts of stuff because it's superficial. But I don't care. Now. Sean was great, and I really joy. I never take for granted, like even this is somebody that I know and call a friend. I like, he like started to choke up talking about his old players and it just like we talk about it on
here a lot. These guys are people and it's like those relationships and this was a city post Katrina that like put back together with like hope for a city and the relationships and all of the things that came out of his time there. So his first time coming back was great. Happy for him that he got to win. It was also Drew Brees' night. Tough to celebrate Drew Brees' night when the Saints are obviously not winning marching in but yeah they were not marching in. But good to
see Drew such a class act. And you know, we've obviously covered football for a long time, but we've been spoiled with great quarterbacks like the Aaron Rodgers. I know, obviously the Jets are struggling right now, but when I think back, like even Drew Brees is sitting down with him before an NFC Championship game, and like just all of those different things, I know when we look back, will be even more grateful for these relationships that you have. And it's nice to see these guys again. So that
was fun. It was fun. I love it. What else do I have? While you were doing that game? I had you on, and you know, it's always a big event in our house when Chris is on and we were watching it. We were also dealing with bedtime with Macki Babes and we were trying to put him to bed as you were seven o'clock. Yeah, you're on, You're you're almost done. Postgame's almost on. So actually postgame probably
was on. We learned a very important lesson. No walking around with our sippy cup because we are very mobile right now. But we are walking like mommy's had four drinks. Like, it's not stay We're not stable. Yeah we are. We are wobblin. So he's got his sippy cup, he's walking.
He caught an edge of a runner which has now been thrown out in our kitchen, and went face first into the sippy cup, cut up the lip, and we thought when you pulled him up and the blood is gushing out, and we thought, oh my god, this kid's this kid has lost his teeth. He must have a gash bit his tongue. It ends up being a cut that big and you you don't know that time, but you just see your your precious baby with this blood gushing him, screaming I and feeling like I'm going to
pass out. I have to go over to the table, put my head between my knees. My husband, who I'm going to praise because I've been very hard on him for being a helicopter dad. I think it's quite interesting that a guy who scared the shit out of me when he was playing is now so frantic about our child hitting his head. And I'm like, do you now know put skates on him? This was my life for how many years watching you? So anyways, you know, he was being so good, he was grabbing the guys. He
called our doctor, put the doctor on FaceTime. I actually said, call the doctor, called the doctor, put the doctor on face time. No more monkey jumping jump on the bed. That's how we say it in our house anyways, So it was all handled. I felt like a massive failure, failure because I let the kid walk with a sippy cup. I also almost passed out. And the amazing, lovely, wonderful nanny we have helped with it all because she's a mother. Everybody left, Nanny went home, kid went to bed, looked
like he was doing fine. We sat on the kitchen, or we sat on the couch and we were watching you and I just said, let's call Steve. I need to call Steve. He loves you. And Jered goes, what what why are we calling Steve? Like, let's have him inute. I said, no, I need to call Steve. I can't talk to Chris. I need to call Steve. So I FaceTime Steve as you're doing your post game. Sean comes on your set. We're both like, hey, let's call each other back, let's watch this, Let's call each other. We
have to tell uncle Steve the whole story. I even open up the trash bag show Steve all the blood and the gauze. He's like, oh my god, Jared, It's like, buddy, buddy. It was bad. The cuts, this bag like it was he it's all good, but yeah, I have to call Steve. Steve my call. I love you for that. In case of emergency, call Steep for anything. But I was just upset because I feel like I should know about the traumas in my nephew's life before Steve gets to know
about them. So I'm talking to him after the game and he's like, ooh, Mack had an accident. I'm like, don't say Mac had an accident. First start with Everything's okay, everything's Mac had an accident. Yeah, exactly, so, but a few things. You need to not say that you're a failure because he is going to fall. And I know I don't a lot, but he is going to fall one hundred more times. Knocking on wood is always going
to be okay. But isn't that like part of you know, yeah, he's always going to be like he's gonna part of his exploratory process of like walking around and that's why, you know, you just you have to be like, you know, the hard game, when they're bleeding and they're screaming, it's okay, You're okay. The money's over at the dining room table, with her head between her knees. Now, my thought with that is I do pass out easily when it's people I love and they're hurt. My dude was, yeah, I
didn't know. I do. I just don't breathe, and I get like so worried that my sister and I have that thing. It's really bad. Is that the last thing jareded and our gorgeous, lovely nanny needs to deal with is my ass passed out on the flooring. Is it blood? It's just hurt getting hurt. When my dad had a heart attack, I almost passed out walking into the hospital. It's like you't have to start breathing. It's hurt and blood. Yeah, oh I hate that. Yeah I feel that way. But yeah,
I mean he's fine. But have you gotten to the point I feel like you guys probably have where you already have to put all the stuff on the corners of the coffee table. We're there, We're there. Yeah, we're starting to find news things. I mean, they make you feel really stupid right away because there's so just babies. There's so many things we should be knowing and we don't know. But then I always think about this, our parents here, none of that stuff. I know. I remember
being in the back of a car. I'm fine, so don't arrest my parents. What out of seatbelt? Like, I mean, we never had any we never did any of that stuff, right. I think about like planes used to be able to smoke on a plane, like ripping beaters, and like you got the baby on the hip, Like there's so much stuff now it's like you survive. So it's I again, And I don't want to pretend to know any of
this because I'm not a parent. In fact, I was thinking about you today because as I was running around doing all of these things, we had our Amazon call. So I normally am I'm not taking it in the car, but in this particular case, I had an appointment at the bank that I had to be at ten o'clock. The calls at nine thirty. We've got it, you know whatever.
And Fitz was talking about transporting one of his seven children to the different various activities that they had, and then Spoon was talking about something and they're like, yeah, yeah, the carpool thing is tough with all the kids, and this is me. I go, this is why we don't have kids, guys. I was like, the only person I have to worry about is me, my say South and Irene. And I was thinking about you because I'm like, I'm
cramming in all these things right like schedule wise. I hand it to you and anyone that has children, because it is I will always maintain this. It is the most selfless thing you can ever do, is a child. Your whole world is now, even if you are great at balancing it, your whole world is now consumed by this little tiny human being or in some cases three or four or seven human beings. And I think about my parents, like my parents still worry about me. And
I'm forty two, I'm almost fifty years old. So I'm shout out to all the parents out there, because you guys, I gotta give it to you in the sun. Yeah I don't. I don't feel like I'm doing it, but you have to stop that. You're doing a fabulous job. You're an incredible mother, and you're doing it. It's fun though, Like today we had we had a really good morning because you know, we're I'm back late last night, not that late, but we get up and I'm like, let's
go to let's go to our breakfast spot. We all go down. It's like seven thirty. It's a real vibe in there. They're playing is is it shot a or shut oh yata? That's telling that. In the morning, we've got the hot coffee. My man's having his pancakes and his eggs and his sausage, and it's just like he's hysterical with a currant. It was a good day. But then you know, he started screaming his head off at swimming lessons today, and it's like, wait, it was so good,
by the way, you know who that is. That's us, that's us. We're happy, We're ready, let's go down all over the place. It's like, wait, what happened the other day? I was doing something. I was in the best mood, and then like something ticked me off, and I'm just rattled in them, like in a shitty mood. I was like, hey, get it, we need to take some medication. Let's be a little bit more lovely here. Let's not let all the highs be so high and all the losby so so so. I wish I lived back in so he
could moved back to New York. At some point in my life, I really didn't get the full New York treatment. This is a left turn. I am back in New York though for Halloween, and I'm so sad I don't get to go trick or treating with Macaroon. I know you guys New York with you No, okay, oh my god, you have to tell the story, and if you don't want to tell it, we'll just edit it out. But
Jared coming down in a cookie monster costume. Yeah, so we uh, we have this amazing nanny that's been with us for the last couple of weeks and she we were looking at somebody else to like kind of help with that went time when she needs off and everything, and Jared got her or this our nanny got her on the phone so we could talk to her because I was finally home, Jared's home. That's a rare occasion all at once. So we really really want this woman to come and work and give the other woman relief.
Uh oh, what's wrong? Oh okay? Forty nine ers are texting and I thought something happened, but they're just giving it to me a little bit. Oh for work, the chief sideline a little bit. But they're like, what what read was that yesterday? Forty nine ers? Your Chief's read. Hey, by the way, that was safe. It was sick because the number one rules safe for anyone that doesn't know. You're not supposed to wear either color of the teams, but if they're both red, you do the math. Oh
my gosh, I know. Okay, So Jared's upstairs. I'm talking to this nanny and I'm like, Hi, you would love to be a part of our family. We're so crazy, but we've heard such great things about you. I was being funny and I said, Jared, come on down. I was like, take your shirt off. Maybe she'll really want to come work for us, Like a joke, right, just
having fun. All of a sudden, he comes down, head to toe with the head up and the eyeballs, with his cookie Monster outfit, and he's like hi, and I'm like, what are you doing? What are you doing? He's like, I'm trying to my cookie Monster outfit. I'm like, it's the nanny. It's the nanny we're interviewing. He's like, hey, how are you. I was like, take off the hoodie, take off the hoodie and the eyes. Come work for us. No, we're saying, mild, it's not even Halloween. We just wear
these costumes, Like are these people weird? Furr? He's like, what's going on in that house? Oh my god. I was at a hotel one time when there was a breaking shows Ayuk out for the season. Oh fuck god, that sucks again. I don't know down. I didn't know how to get out of that. I was like, you're
the hosts. Yeah, I got nothing on that. Now, when it comes to injuries, the same way that we talked about it, Aden Hutchinson goes down and it's like I got to do a highlight and it's like there's no highlight in tone that makes sense for when there's something. So it's same thing yesterday in that Jets game when the offensive lineman, I was like, thank god he was okay, Like that's so scary, so so scary. I know it's hey,
here's a thought. What I'm not starting rumors. I was trying to think, who could they get the Lions, you know, to like just get him there one chance to the Super Bowl. And I know there's reports like I've seen Zadarius, Matt Crosby, Miles Garrett. Could you imagine Miles Garrett's not happy with his fan base, and I agree with him we do not. Could you imagine if what Miles Garrett went to the Lions? No, I could not imagine any other team that has to play the Lions. Yeah, that's true.
Miles Garrett SONA I mean, he's a door. Love Miles Garrett Son's coming in right What are you thinking about right now? I'm thinking about that coming in. Oh, it's like your lighting situation. Wait what were saying before? Oh? Anyways, I love Jared Yah. So I can't go trigger treating with you guys, but Halloween and I'm thinking about Miles Garrett to the Lions. I'm thinking about what are they going to do? Score? How much going on? One thing we have to discuss on this podcast is I was
elevated to Macon. Okay, I gave Aaron shit last week because she carries a backpack and nothing against attitude, nothing against backpacks that she stores. She stores the attitude in one of the nine pockets of her backpack. Nothing wrong with him. I just feel like my girl invests a lot in her look because she's a professional, and I just want the bag to reflect the professional attire and all of the work that you've put into curating the look. You've put you brought a tote, and I feel like
you're really upset with me. You're not sold. It's not a big enough to can't It was a Kate toat that I love. I think you've seen it before. It is great, it's beautiful. I need a big, oversized, obnoxious toe. My issue is now I got to have a lot of little tots inside the toe, and now and now I got to find all those and now I got to put all this stuff in the little totes in the big tote. We're totin We're toting a lot. Okay, my security Spence, who is so great, and he picked
me up. As I'm on the phone with Chrissa. By the way, get in the car, he's playing lover by Taylor Swift to go what's going on over here? He normally he's playing like my eighties music or like dirty rap. And he's like, hey, we've got the Chiefs this weekend, we're playing Taylor Sweat. I was like, my man, so I just said, Chris is on my ass for my backpack. She said, I need to be more elevated and use a tote, and he goes, I'm gonna puld your tote.
He goes this is a good one. God, just my toe so overall aside from having to get used tonk and also it doesn't fit through my whole, Like it doesn't fit through this thing, because like my backpack will go through and like fit perfectly and I just carry But this, I'm like you're talking about on your luggage. No, it's not. It's not falling off. From being so dramatic, it has two handles. You put the handles over the back handle and start going, I'm afraid the handles are
going to rip off, rip off. I know that that bag is not rip off. What are you talking about? You're gonna afraid the leather handles that are sewn onto the bag are going to rip off? Well heavy in that tote. Yeah, but the luggage is doing all the work. It's just pulled. Yeah, but not if the bigger part of the tote falls off and then it's hanging by the straps, and then what week are you going to go back to the backpack. I just want to prepare myself that I want to make sure I get the
bigger tote for this weekend. I got to get the bigger toe. Okay, I sent you a not to know that. That is the question. Get out and vote and bring your tote. Okay, that's my campaign slogan for you. Okay, it's important for all of us to do our job on November fifth, and you better have a new goddamn tote by then, okay, because I want to see your tote at the voting station. Hey, I can help you with this. This isn't it, promp. But I'm very proud of you for being open to something. I gotta hear.
Look at that. She's bringing it every folks, not just on the side of a new one. See it's not big enough. Hey, signing a question? What are you doing for Max steiperback? Because I know it's not a backpack? So what you were you putting all his style? I got my laser, my lima in here. Would you carrying that around? Yeah? I don't know. I gotta be honest, I don't know if that thing works. Okay, And here's my thing. I'm going to say it to you about that. I don't know. I called you the other night in
my ocean bias. I need those right now. It's so right, it's coming in. God, these are classes. I called you the other night in my face mask. Oh my god, you did. I love that face mask. I need one of those. Yeah, my girl. You guys, let me just tell you. Erin and I have a lot of similarities and a lot of differences. One is Aeron's rituals like before, like she was sitting there a FaceTime or she has her mask on, she's got her laptop out, she's got
her nose, she is diligent. You don't know where to find me night before game, I mean, ask al Michael's. We're in the streets. There's no mask. I mean it's a Halloween mask because we're scary and in the streets and the notes. The thing is, you know what the difference is? Our game is later on. Yeah, I feel like I can do them. Yeah. I can't hear her makeup at eight, I gotta go. I got my mask on. I would have liked, what are we doing? What we doing?
These are stretched out? I hate that those happen. All that happens all the time to me. You know why, because I flip up on the head. I got to take a picture or something and send it to you. Oh, I thought you were going to say, take a picture of this. Okay, Hey, I don't really want to keep talking about anything else. We've talked about ourselves enough. Sure, I'd like to talk about what it is that makes everyone at home happy, Like what makes other people happy?
Because sometimes I feel like we just complain, and like when I'm not complaining, I'm not complaining. I love my life, But what makes everyone at home any This is complaining? Wait till I start complaining what makes everybody at home happy? You know what I said to Steve the other day, I said I need to start doing more random acts of kindness and he said, okay, Like what And I said, like, when we're in the Starbucks line, like pay for the
coffee behind me. He goes, Oh, we're not doing that. Okay, Then they're going to chase this down. They're going to think something's in the coffee. I was like, how come, Like, no good deed goes unpunished. I just want to start. I feel like I'm a nice person, but I want to start doing random acts. You always your random You're great. No, it's not over. I think we're good here. I think we need I'm not really sure what else we need to do here. I need to stop touching my face.
I just face it's a day. It's a weekly thing because it just from Lyn's because I was getting my nails fixed and she did the whole box cutter face thing. And I'm gonna tell you, when a bunch of shirt boxes don't care what she does. As long as my face days glowing, oky smooth, I'm good with it. But yeah, the best though, is when she does the shaving and then she shows me how much hair is on my face, lint. I know that's why we're here. Just keep it going.
I can't get it. I am like Harry and the Henderson's, but that's exactly why that is such a sad movie. When he hits him across the gym, I've never seen it. Is it John Love? Is John something? I know Ryan will figure it out. Oh my god, I ne're seen it in the house because the cops are coming and he's like, get out, get out of here, and he punches him and here he looks at him and he goes, oh no, and he turns around and leaves. It's so emotional.
Don't started on Harry and Henderson's. It's like the whole movie where like they want, like the creature that comes to live, to leave before the FBI comes, or like the CIA. It's so awful. It really causes trauma. I feel like to your life when you watch it as a young child, and then they like go to look for him to tell him they love him, and then they look up and they see all these Sasquatches going and I'm shocked, you've never seen it. I feel like
he was filmed in Washington. But I'm gonna tell you right the real Sasquatches. My Taylor Swift feed has lesson just because she's not here, or I know she's here now, but like Grine's picked up, we're not talking. We're all out of time. Curry are John Lithgow Right? No, I just feel like circulation of Taylor because we're not talking about the concert. Like you know, our phone listens to everything we say. All that's in my feed right now is football and animals. I get caught watching these. You
should have seen me yesterday. In between highlights, I keep showing Mat the researcher. I'm like, but look at this. A bear is like flagging someone down on the side of the road and some nice man stops for the bear, and it's because the little cub had a plastic thing stuck on his head, and then the bears came back to the house where the man lived because they followed him home to say thank you, and they would just come around. I mean, these are the videos that I
get caught caught watching. I was checking out. No, you talked about the bear. I was like, you know what's in my algorithm? Taylor's oh yeah. I was like, how do you know the algorithm? Doug Rissa? Just look at your feet? Aiden Hutchins in because we just talked about him. Taylor Swift, Taylor Swift with her cat, Taylor swifonte dog. Look this is it Taylor Swift dogs. Uh ha, Son Reddick, Derek Jeter, Oh my god, Rosie. I mean, this is all you have to, honestly do is look at the feet.
I don't know why Nie so much. Taylor Swift. It's crazy. I have so many Golden Retrievers in here, seriously, Golden retrievers. Jerry Jones, Taylor Swift, Aiden Hutchinson, Injury News and homor Wow, we should play a game. We used to play this game on Fox Sports Live because no one watched the show. Me Andy Roddick, Donovan McNabb, Gary Payton, Gabe Kapler. We would do this thing where we would say to like anyone that was at home at night, like watching the show.
Like our friend Ryan Risillo. He's like, I dare you to say, sarrak kitty kitty. So I'm like, no problem. I was like, hey, so what's going on in the NBA? Sarak kitty kitty, And like we'd have like a Bengo card and check off all the things that like someone would dare me to say, because we just no one
was watching our show. So we'd also do this thing called top three Google searches that at any point, any point, ron I would say top three, give it to me, and I was like, fuck, and so I'd have to give him the phone and whatever your recent history was top three. And there was a time where I had googled a lady issue because I was like, why, why is this happening? And he goes, I won't ask you about number two small bumps. No, I'm kidding it with
the small bumps. But it was something so mortifying and as only Andy Roddick could doany I miss Andy. He's he's so dude funny, but yeah, Google search, have you ever done it? On your computer, clear the history, because you know, how do you clear it? You got to go up to the It's like the apple whatever it is, because you know why, because I have checked the history of boyfriend's stuff in the past, and you don't want to see it. Okay, you just don't want to, even
if it's something bad. You're just like, well, why did he put in blonde girl that lives in San Francisco. You're like, well, what were you really looking for? Now? You want to talk about being mind fucked. I haven't done that Steve, because he doesn't give a shit and he doesn't care, and he's probably like, you know, that's what Steve's googling. Watch Steve being, watch Steve cheat being like a person that's actually been cheating on me the
entire time we're together, and like he would never cheat. Meanwhile, gone to our podcast and she's like, that girl's an idiot. He's been cheating on her the whole time. I'm like, Steve would never go home. Sorry in your head like he thinks I'm so old, I have too much makeup on and I have painted in cologne and her regulations on being six and oh, thank you guys for riding our roller coaster. Make sure you're strapped in the ride. Keep your hands inside the vehicle at all times. All Right,
this sun's beaming and I gotta go. I love you, It's it's just too much, okay, Peace be with you. Calm Down with Aaron and Carissa is a production of iHeart Radio. For more podcasts from iHeart Radio, visit the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast m
