Episode description

Do you speak your truth and say what you mean with confidence? Do you listen to other people as they express themselves? This is the effective ebb and flow of having a clean, clear and balanced throat chakra, whose primary purpose is communication, and creativity. A great example of this is the ancient practice of using a “talking stick”. During a gathering of several people, only one person, the person who holds the stick, tells their story to completion. Everyone else listens without comments or questions until the end when the stick is passed to another speaker.  This is a beautiful example of speaking your truth or your story and listening with deep intention.

Today's episode is the fifth in our series of chakra clips. When we nourish our chakra system on a regular basis, we are able to reach an amazing sense of well-being in our lives. Doing this is easier than you might think... all it requires is combining your favorite energy techniques, ranging from color visualization, to meditation, to applying gemstones or sound therapy, or vibrational energy healing techniques, like EFT, Reiki, or Healing Touch. Many of those I teach in the Align Your Chakras 30 Day Experience, that I'll talk about later.

The throat chakra is located in the center of the throat area, and holds the key to speaking one's divine truth with ease and grace. Its ancient Sanskrit name is Vishuddhi, and is often referred to as the fifth chakra. It resonates with the color blue of a cloudless sky. When balanced, it is all about communication, self-expression, effective listening, as well as, expressing our soul's purpose clearly. On the other hand, when imbalanced... things like stage fright, secretiveness, evasive behavior, shyness and self-righteousness can occur.

Today's episode is the fifth and our series of chakra clips. When we nourish our chakra system on a regular basis, we are able to reach an amazing sense of wellbeing in our lives. Doing this is easier than you might think... all it requires is combining your favorite energy techniques, ranging from color visualization, to meditation, to applying gemstones or sound therapy, or vibrational energy healing techniques, like EFT, Reiki, or Healing Touch. Many of those I teach in the “Align Your Chakras 30 Day Experience”, that I'll talk about later. The throat chakra is located in the center of the throat area, and holds the key to speaking one's divine truth with ease and grace. Its ancient Sanskrit name is Vishuddhi, and is often referred to as the fifth chakra. It resonates with the color blue of a cloudless sky. When balanced, it is all about communication, self-expression, effective listening, as well as expressing our soul's purpose clearly. On the other hand, when imbalanced things like stage fright, secretiveness, evasive behavior, shyness and self-righteousness can occur.

One simple activity to balance this chakra is to visualize a beautiful blue cloudless sky on a bright, sunny day in your imagination, breathing in the bright blue light. Breathe in through your mouth. Swallow it and feel it warmly move down your throat, like sweet honey. Let's do it again. Breathe in through your mouth. Swallow the bright blue color. Feel it warm and move down your throat like sweet honey in your mind's eye or imagination, swirling around until it forms a beautiful ball of sky-blue light. Let this ball spin faster and faster in your throat area. Pushing all doubts, pushing all fears, all negativity and toxins...out away from your body. And behind closed eyes, see it rain. See all the debris and toxins rain into the earth to be recycled into something beautiful. See beautiful blooms and plants rise up from the earth where it landed. Take a few minutes to visualize the sky-blue ball of light, swallowing it down into your throat, spinning it around till all negative and debris is cleared. And do this as the music plays. (musical interlude)

As you continue to visualize a clear, clean and balanced Throat Chakra of sky blue, consciously let go of any fears and insecurities around speaking your personal truth. Let go of any reliance you might have on other people's opinions as being your own. Knowing that your voice is the only one that counts for it is right and authentic for you. It is through our throat chakra that creativity, life purpose, true communication, effective listening and deep soul expression occurs. The gemstones of turquoise and Aquamarine, as well as, the musical note of G can enhance the throat chakra. The physical symptoms of imbalance can manifest in the jaw, vocal cords, thyroid and neck. When the throat chakra is healthy, we are able to communicate with ease and grace...express our truth clearly and listen to others effectively while maintaining our own opinion and our own truth.

Continue to work with the sky-blue light visualization of the throat chakra of self-expression and call in a clear, clean and balanced Throat Chakra for effective communication. Call it in! “Call IT in With Dar!”
