Archangel Series: Archangel Uriel

What Archangel do you consider to be a wise mentor? One that you can call on for wisdom, insight and problem solving… Archangel Uriel! The topic of today's episode in our alphabetical miniseries on Archangels. In Hebrew, Uriel’s name means “goddess of light” or “fire of God”, and provides deep wisdom. For instance, Uriel is known to have warned Noah of the upcoming flood and to have helped the prophet Ezra to interpret the mystical predictions about the forthcoming Messiah. 

Uriel has been credited also with bringing the knowledge and practice of alchemy, the ability to turn metal into precious metal, as well as the ability to manifest from thin air! Uriel is regarded as one of the wisest Archangels; he's very much like an older sage or mentor, someone you would call on for intellectual information, practical solutions and creative insights. Uriel’s presence is rather subtle, however…so he could come into your prayers and give you a brilliant new idea that enters your mind kind of like a light bulb moment. And that is how Archangel Uriel appears. Uriel can appear as either feminine or masculine energy, depending on the connection in the situation. 

When I call on the archangels of the four directions to create a sacred space for healing or meditation, I call on Archangel Uriel in the north and the element of Earth. So one of the reasons is that Uriel is considered the archangel who's connected to Earth and could help us with earthquakes, floods, hail, fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, natural disasters, and any big changes with the earth. There are many other things that Urial can help with, like expansion, the ability to see the big picture, Alchemy and divine magic and Earth changes, problem solving, harmony and your total body balance… spiritual understanding, studies, he can be a great help for tests and students in general. Weather as we mentioned with the earth connection, and can help focus so if you are easily distracted, Archangel Uriel can help with that. Writing any intellectual writings, wisdom and an interesting aspect of wisdom is if you have wisdom to share, but you need to get in front of the right audience, you can call on Uriel to help bring the perfect people into your path. When it comes to life purpose, Uriel can help with that extra energy boost or motivation that you need or perhaps knowing the next step in your life purpose, restoring an old hobby or releasing and forgiving, something that has come before.
