Are you the type of individual who values their solitude? Then perhaps the Black Panther is one of your animal guardians. The Black Panther often symbolizes courage, valor, challenge, beauty, feminine power, grace, and rites of passage, as well as solitude. Stories of ancient maternal lunar power are often associated with the Panther. Generally speaking, ancient tradition connects the Black Panther with successful hunts, strength, honor, leadership, fearlessness, aggression, instinct, calculated movement, and clear sight… sharpened senses. This animal can also symbolize cunning, viciousness, femininity and protection. Black Panthers have good hearing, a great sense of smell, extremely sharp eyesight, and a very strong jaw. It is a smart, cunning, stealth-like attacker, and its dark coat helps it hide in the shadows, especially at night. Black Panthers are rather rare, only about 11% of leopards in the world are black. They live primarily in hot, dense tropical rainforests in southwestern China, Southeast Asia, Burma, Nepal, Southern India, Indonesia and the southern part of Malaysia. Black Panthers are actually black leopards and have retractable claws. The reason why they are so rare, 11% is because they have a condition that causes their body to produce excess black pigment to make their fur darker. So they are technically called melanistic leopards. If you've been feeling rather nervous, jumpy, confused, afraid, overwhelmed…fear of being alone or somehow at risk. You might call on the guardian of the Black Panther and snuggle into that black midnight for embracing the stillness of the moment. Darkness is a place for seeking and finding answers, accepting true healing, and for assessing the hidden light of truth. So don't be afraid to spend time in the shadows. Symbolically, the Black Panther teaches us to delve into the deep places within ourselves. Places that need healing, teaching unfamiliar territory, fearlessly facing the unknown in our journey of self-discovery. If Black Panther comes across your path on social media, billboards, and stories or by other means, it is often telling you not to worry about the future. And to stop trying so hard to figure everything out. Just let it unfold before you, you may need to confront your fears of the unknown. Stop worrying about not being good enough. And trust that what is unfolding in your life is for your greatest good. So call the Black Panther into your life. Call it in for courage, strength, Grace, feminine power, leadership and fearlessness. Call in the Black Panther, “Call IT in With Dar!”
