She is a successful entrepreneur who coaches other business owners. For over a decade, she has maintained her own law firm while serving her community in Louisville in a variety of ways, including training paralegal interns, as a Family Court guardian ad litem and certified mediator, and hosting free seminars. She has written a number of books including In Quietness & Confidence: Life Lessons, Small Revelations and Whispers from God, and Real Queens Like Me: Stories of Great Black Women who Changed the World.  We talk about the connection between her law practice, and why she is running to become the Circuit Court Judge for Louiville, Kentucky in the May 17 Primary.
