Brian Wood is a published poet and also a literary agent. He has been in the book industry for years, and worked as a regional book buyer for all the Coles Book Stores in Canada, and then in 2001, he was the Western Regional buyer for Chapters Indigo.
As a literary agent, he is focused on non-fiction books about sports and athletes. Our conversation ranged from sports to atheism and a bunch of things in between. We discuss Brian’s poetic influences and how his poetry wrestles with issues of faith and doubt, and unanswered questions about life.
We have fun talking about the role of a literary agent, as well as sports stories and teams, and all in all, this is a really interesting chat. Tune in!
